A Paradise Called Alta Vista De Boracay!

Thursday, April 04, 2013

Boracay has been a fun week for me and I got to see more than the usual White Beach when I got there. I was able to experience another hotel far away from where the action is for a little rest and recreation. Starting off with a spectacular view and rooms I didn't know existed in a place like Boracay.

This is ALTA VISTA DE BORACAY!

I had my friends with me so we were a pretty rowdy group. Checking in on Alta Vista de Boracay was a cinch. Just present your documents and they'll have your room ready in a jiffy.

The reception area is also huge. It's where you can get free wifi and meet some strangers perhaps if you are into that.

And I went back at night to check out the place. It's very nice. The overall design of the place played more on the "Moderne Filipino Contemporary". It's a mix of both natural, wood, a mix of old French pub styles and materials.

They actually have around 15 of these structures which houses 500 rooms all in all. Most of their clientele are foreigners but I wish people notice that it's actually perfect for group stays. They have two types of rooms leased which are Deluxe (PhP 7,320.00 nett) and the Loft Suite (PhP 10,980.00). These room rates are inclusive of breakfasts for two, taxes and service charge. If you are keeping in more family members inside the room, they have extra person charge of  PhP 1,830.00 which is also inclusive of breakfast. These probably change with peak and non peak seasons so I suggest you contact them for reservations or other packages.

The Deluxe Room

The Deluxe Room is spacious enough to probably house around 4 people. It's usually the ones that are on the lower floors since they have quite normal ceilings. You may asked to be housed with those that are near the Club House because the transportation and infinity pool are housed there. If you want to go elsewhere, they've got vans that travel regularly to Station 2's D'Mall or other places in the island.. it would be easy for you to go anytime.

One thing I noticed is their sheer disregard for saving space because their rooms are HUGE. Imagine your own small kitchen where you can probably cook microwaveables plus large cabinets, a mini bar, cable tv on your own 32 inch LCD TV and individually controlled air conditioning.

Plus you have your own veranda overlooking the mountains and sea views of the island.

This morning actually looks better in real life. Isn't it just dreamy?

The toilet and bath's got a tub where you can spend an afternoon reading novels while enjoying a bubbly.

The usual toiletries and a grand mirror would satisfy those who would like to be vain while on vacay. They clean up very quick, my friend never even noticed but the place was done while he was taking a nap (true story!)

Then we saw the place where the MAGIC happens

As we mentioned, the place is pretty huge. Looking at how much detail they put in on these beds and how liberal they are in giving out pillows just spell luxury to me. It makes me wonder how big the loft is. Which is exactly what we're going to see next!

 The Loft Suite

This is the Loft Suite. As you probably have anticipated, this one is way bigger than the Deluxe Room.

They have the same necessities as seen in the Deluxe rooms. This one however has a bigger, better, wider and separate toilet and bath; other models have bath tubs too. You have bigger storage available because this is intended for big families. The thing opens up to a room filled with a lounge of your own that converts into beds too since it's intended to house 2 more adults on the sofa bed.

The high ceilings and the name of this room is obviously is a dead giveaway. This is a loft so you've got a second floor which has your king sized beds intact.

It's got two air conditioning units which are also individually controlled. I liked it cold so I got it on full blast. Don't mind my friends freezing.

The beds too are gorgeous. I loved how big they are. It's a perfect fit for big guys like me who want room when it comes to beds. But really this can probably fit around 4 people.

Pretty neat also that you can just go out and grab a smoke on your veranda or maybe just chill and feel the sea breeze coming from this side of the building. Better yet, lemme show you my view in the morning.

Two words. Infinity Pool. I've seen it on the window the day after and I couldn't wait to take a dip and see how it feels looking at the mountains that surround the club house.

It's cafe, the restaurant and it's food services are something to take note of. They've got some of the best the island has to offer but don't fret meat lovers, their continental menu won't disappoint you either!

Classy yet affordable, business travelers would find this quaint restaurant perfect for their lunch or dinner meetings and deals. Romantic setting on top of the island's hills would make it the best spot to dine for those who want a great time with your loved ones too. It's modern Filipino so if you have foreign friends, you could introduce them to cuisines our country should be known for. I love their Sinigang na Hipon and Crispy Pata. I've been thinking about it ever since we left.

Finish the trip with their Infinity Pool and you're all set!

For a more upscale group getaway Alta Vista De Boracay surely ran away as the winner. If you fancy something different than the White Beach experience, this Resort cum Condotel presents a very awesome experience just waiting to happen. I will surely come back soon because this experience just made me miss Boracay even more!

Alta Vista de Boracay is a good fit to budget travelers. It is one of the hotel in Boracay that is worth trying. And of course, it is very near to Puka Beach, my favorite beach in Boracay island
