Why the ShaiVid Loveteam Works

Saw the movie Because I Love You last night and got to sit down with some of the cast before the screening. They were nervous, a little excited because this is David Licauco and Shaira Mae Dela Cruz's first movie where they play the lead role. Directed by Joel Lamangan, this just had a lot of promise because again, they're banking on the ShaiVid Loveteam which worked on the digital series they did with GMA.

David Licauco attributes the success of their pairing to Shaira because he feels as good as an actress as she is, you can literally pair anyone with her and still get away with it because she's that good. Shaira on the other hand identifies how David was like a sponge on set because she knew how they needed to build on chemistry. She says "David was very timid, very quiet in the beginning and it took some time to warm up with him because it was our first time to work in a film. He was so good after that and I appreciate how he did his part in this movie." 

Saw Regal Baby Timothy Lawrence Yap on the red carpet. Super dapper as always, this guy needs a huge project and I hope he does in time.

The movie had superb acting, but I think the material was just a tad short to work with. Maybe if there were more conflict I'd enjoy it even more. This was good for its merits, watch it for David and Shaira alone.

The movie is now showing in theaters nationwide. Congratulations on the first project and I hope there would be more of these two on the silverscreen or TV. This is under ALV Films and Garage, distribution by Regal Films.

Teejay Marquez Thankful for Indonesian Career, Ready for Manila

A happy, perky and good looking Teejay Marquez greeted us at a press conference held in Quezon City a few days ago. He's back in the country first and foremost to take good care of his Grandmother who's been suffering kidney failure and plans to continue to work in Manila so he could provide for her as well. The young man has been able to have a great career in Indonesia after his viral videos drew so much love in that part of Southeast Asia.

If you haven't heard of Teejay Marquez in social media, you must have been under a rock. He's gotten so much attention when he got his Dubsmash videos viral in Indonesia where he has set foot early 2016. Suffice to say, he's a household name in Jakarta. During that stint, he got offers to star in Dubsmash The Movie, some tv series, tons of interviews and had a promising career presenting himself from the Philippines. He joined ALV Talent Circuit under Arnold Vegafria in August 2017 and Regal Entertainment.

In 2017, Teejay also starred in Siapa Takut Katij Cinta (Who's Afraid to Fall In Love?) which was their version of hit Asian series Meteor Garden. He wasn't able to do Manila based projects because of it. He also went to Malaysia, Hong Kong, and launch his own mobile phone app. When they did the launch for this mobile phone app in Indonesia, they flew the winner to Manila all expense paid and had a date with Teejay here. He's that big in that country. He is launching this soon in Manila together with a partnership with a telecom company which will be announced soon. 

He also has a new movie directed by Adolf Alix Jr. which we'll be lookong forward to see. Here's our video interview with him that afternoon.

He is currently being managed by ALV Talent Circuit, so please be ready for him as he conquers Manila too. He's optimistic to have quite a few projects here (we saw him having photos with ABSCBN Executives recently) and hopefully have a dent in Philippine showbusiness sooner than you think!

Love Matters at the ABSCBN Vertis Tent

The love month is just around the corner and for those who are still finding the perfect event to go to for a date that's not far, well I've got news for you.

You see that tent right in front of Ayala Malls Vertis North with the huge ABSCBN logo on it? That's the location, now think about the good music and romance you'll get if you have the prince of RnB Kris Lawrence, Pop Diva Ms. Kuh Ledesma, the forever young Gabbi Concepcion and Kuh's daughter Isabella Gonzales, wouldn't that be unbelievable? Exactly, that's why they call this LOVE MATTERS... a concert that will happen at the ABSCBN Vertis North Tent on February 13 at 8PM.

Kris takes this concert as an honor to be able to perform with some of the country's icons in music and showbusiness. Ms. Kuh on the other hand has had the pleasure to stay with Mr. Gabbi Concepcion and their friends a couple of months ago in the US and is excited to perform with the 80's hearthrob on stage. She also is in the works to also do a birthday concert in March and says this may serve as a teaser for what's coming on those dates. She also knows how talented Kris is and she's excited how to mix things with him and daughter Isabella. This will be a fun evening for all four.

The LOVE MATTERS concert is produced by ALV Events International in partnership with ABSCBN Vertis Tent management. This isn't going to be the only thing happening at Ayala Malls Vertis North as they have a lot lined up for 2018.
