Kian Dionisio Releases First Album Under GMA Records

Sunday, February 26, 2017

It's my first time to meet him and my first time to talk to him. I was excited though when I read his credentials, because my face lit up when I learned this humble guy is from the same school as I am. He's a late bloomer, he started to write songs a couple of years ago but he didn't get to play music during college days because he was barred from doing so by his girlfriend (which he followed strictly). He started playing in small clubs, restaurants as an acoustic singer (he applied for it when he saw an ad on a newspaper) and got it right there. A friend has been listening to his soundcloud recordings and asked him if he could give it to a couple of people. It landed on GMA Records table and suddenly, Kian Dionisio already talked about recording for the label. But they took their time instead of just doing his existing ones. I must say when I heard him sing, I already knew why GMA Records signed him up. He's freaking good!

He also started to tell us about how he started, and a couple of things about the album. Listen in.

He's optimistic, hungry for a challenge to step up the plate and be much like his idols Johnoy Danao, Ebe Dancel, Noel Cabangon and the other great musicians, artists and composers. I have very high hopes for this guy who also hails from University of the East Caloocan, and although he's not fully doing his Communication Arts degree, he's a great singer, a diamond in the rough that is worthy to get discovered.

He's currently opening for current GMA Records artists like James Wright and will also be doing the rounds in mall shows plus the Sunday afternoon show on the same network. He also has the album released digitally as an EP available in all Digital Stores including iTunes worldwide! Make sure you check out his music. Pretty good I tell you! Pretty good!

Alden Richards Receives Diamond Record Award, Launches "Say It Again"Album

Monday, October 10, 2016

It was a fun evening to meet the man of the hour Alden Richards. He's been very blessed and he just recently got news that his album "Wish I May" under GMA Records just reached the 9th and 10th Platinum award which means he's reached the Diamond Record Award status in just less than a year after this was released. It's a feat that only a few artists have been able to reach and the young hearthrob recognizes his throngs of fans, the AlDub Nation, and even those who don't belong to these clubs as the ones who made this a reality.

During the recent launch of his second album called "Say It Again" at Market!Market! he was able to spend a couple minutes to thank everyone who helped him to get where he was today. GMA Records also started the show by showcasing the roster of their talents starting with good looking OZ HK crooner James Wright, who was so good by the way! And also T.O.P. (TOP One Project) which made the fans scream even more before Alden came out to sing for everyone that evening. I noticed they've really improved over the past few months and got this dancing and singing numbers to a T. They have some really great dance songs too which have also impressed their fans in the event that evening.

Alden has achieved so much in a short time but what I love about him is that he stayed so humble and saw to it that he still would be able to personally thank everyone who helped him get that far. I was too shy to approach him earlier because I knew these big events would make him so busy but he went out of his way to shake my hand and say thanks. I know, it probably would have freaked some people out but for me, seeing him do those little things are very admirable. He doesn't put fame into his head, also does a lot of charity work on the side and stayed family centric even if he's working so hard these past few years.

After the chaotic show, I saw how Alden was after he got surprised by his family and grandfather who sat in the front row. He was a little emotional too because his Grandpa was crying seeing him on stage, so he had to stop a couple of times while singing just to tell gramps not to cry, it was so heartwarming.

You'll also be seeing (online and offline) in a couple of days the new music lyric video they made for one of the songs in the album. Alden even had a couple of dance songs in the mix and it seems he's trying to do genres aside from ballads.

Make sure you support Alden Richards too by purchasing the album through online streaming sites, or grab the physical copies through leading record bars nationwide! I'd like to take this bit to thank GMA Records, GMA Social Media for having us. Thank you also Alden for still being so nice and humble as always. I'm sure you'll sell these lovely albums like hotcakes!

Julie Anne San Jose Launches "Chasing The Light" Album

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

I was a bit late but was fortunate enough to catch Julie Anne San Jose at the blogcon for her new album Chasing The Light. It has been her pet project this year and now that it's out, she's excited to share all these optimistic and upbeat tunes she's been working on these past few months. She's a stalwart of OPM and she's also coming out with a new music video for one of the tracks on the album, something that you should definitely watch out for.

I was kind of torn about asking her about what's happening with her love life right now but Julie Anne was very accommodating albeit a bit uncomfortable about it. She admitted they are definitely in the "getting to know each other stage" and she's quite happy about it. I felt she was wishing some of people would understand that she too is human and is capable to love and be loved, a thing that I totally agree with. I mean, she's been working so hard all these years, I truly believe she deserves to be happy. She's a very smart girl, whoever she chooses in the near future is surely going to be her responsibility and everyone knows she can handle that. (Sorry this is becoming a bit opinionated but I just can't help it!).

She also talked about how almost half of the people she used to work with have already jumped ship and gone to the other station, but she answered quite emphatically saying that she misses them all, she misses the time they perform together in shows but wants some way, some day soon, that they would be still be able to work together in other projects because the music industry is so small that there will come a time that they would still meet again.  She's not closing her doors to opportunities but have steadfastly said she knows how much she's been taken cared of in GMA and knows how to give back "utang na loob" (with honor) when she needs to. Sitting with her across the table made me see a more genuine lady, still with big dreams and aspirations. She's still working towards that goal, and still give back to the things she's passionate for.

I played her CD right after I went home today and listened to her tracks. I like "All Abour You", and "Never Alone" personally but the other tracks and music were quite as good. With 10 songs including a bonus track "Just Stay" plus an acoustic version of "Naririnig Mo Ba" (Can You Hear Me), this physical album and things on iTunes will surely be worth your money. It's refreshing, down right lovely to hear her work on these songs and she wants you to hear it all.

Here's part of our interview on video, enjoy!

So if you played the video, you know that Julie Anne San Jose will be performing in 2 provinces and a tour in Canada (probably in more cities). So make sure you follow her on her channels to keep updated!
