Vivo V5s Still Best for Group Selfies

Thursday, June 08, 2017

Being in a selfie centric country doesn't mean we'll leave it at that. The newly launched Vivo V5s proves to be not only great in taking selfies but also good group selfies. Take into account those fun times with family and friends so you can immortalize those moments and share them digitally on the world wide web without worrying you'll look weird on photos as this packs a mighty 20 Megapixel front camera which software allows you to take group shots without leaving out a single person in the room no matter how crowded it goes because you can always fit them by panning the phone itself.

Mind you, you can also take tons of shots without worrying that much about storage as it can be also expanded to 256GB from it's default 64GB and 4GB RAM. This feature actually puts them ahead of other competitors because you won't find similar ones that can perform at par with their software, something Vivo has been very proud of.

Now you can enjoy a better phone that takes really good selfies but never forgets how to also accomodate friends and family in the frame with the Group Selfie this Vivo V5s can do. If you want to know more about it and where to buy one, like their page at Facebook.com/VivoPhil, follow their IG and Twitter channels @vivophil too because it's all there!

You should take that shot first and experience it in their stores before you buy the newest Vivo V5s Phone. It was nice when I tried it at the SM Annex a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure you'll like it too.

How To Take Your Selfie Game Higher with Vivo V5s

Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Since they came out with the Vivo V5s, let's talk about how you can take your selfie game higher with this new phone. It's powerful hardware and internal software can benefit you if you knew how to take your selfies with less effort and more quality. Here are tips from around the internet that I've come to follow whenever I'm taking a selfie.

Use a good phone. The Vivo V5s and the whole Vivo V5 line has been garnering quite phenomenal sales over the past few years because of its extremely good hardware. Targeted for those who want to take extremely good selfies, they made the front camera of the phone better. At 20 Megapixels and an F2.0 aperture, you'll get brighter photos without any effort with low noise. Remember, the hardware is important to make this work.

Consider Beautify Options. There are phones with these functions but you should definitely consider how it actually looks like on its output. You don't want it to be plasticky, you don't want it to look like you're a doll, you still would have to look human less the imperfections, but there is such a thing as going overboard. Don't go there. Vivo V5s has Face Beauty 6.0 which you can take advantage of, put it to good use.

Always Have Proper  Lighting. The last thing you would want to have is a dark photo, you always have to make sure that before you take a photo, you have sufficient lighting. Otherwise, what is supposed to be a selfie might turn out to be a thumbprint. We're not a ballot for the elections, use the Selfie Soft Light Technology that Vivo V5s has if you need to.

Share it. We don't take photos just for self affirmation by viewing it ourselves. If you have it, flaunt it by sharing on your social media channels and let your good looks do the talking. If you want to know more about the Vivo V5s please go to Facebook.com/vivophil and follow @vivophil on their IG and Twitter accounts. They share a lot of tips there too!

A Selfie Competition for Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism

Monday, May 15, 2017

Our country has been known to be the selfie capital of the world and if you think it's useless, this might actually change your mind.

You see on May 22, 2017, countries around the world will be commemorating the International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB). A couple of agencies like the Biodiversity Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-BMB), together with the Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) will be mounting a “Selfie for Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism 2017” photo competition. The contest will start from May 3 to May 15, 2017.

The IDBD is an international recognized event mandated by the UN (United Nations) as part of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) which was signed and ratified on 1993. The pact was made to promote global awareness on biodiversity and its impact on worldwide ecosystem and how everyone should be involved in its protection. This year, they are going with the theme of "Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism”. As I see, it's not that complicated because the photo contest will revolve around scenes showing efforts to sustain biodiversity. There are countless organizations and volunteer groups that have made this part of their lives and if you capture those moments about Philippine sustainable tourism, those Eco-tours, sights in the water, forests and wildlife, you could well win this.

Make sure you find unique plants or animals found in land, water, air. Be your own ecological hero and make this a great way to show your photography skills and help information dissemination about the cause. This is open to photographers 13 years old and above.

To join, you can use channels like Facebook or Instagram by liking the Biodiversity Challenge Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/biodiversitychallenge/ first and following the Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/selfieforbiodiversity. Then include a short description with the subject of the photo as your title, your name, age and the hashtag #selfieforbiodiversity2017 plus a short narrative of aboout 100 words on what biodiversity means to the person and how Filipinos can help conserve the Philippines rich biodiversity. Make sure you include your opinions on how YOU could take action and inspire others and perhaps the story on how the photo was shot. Your entries must be taken over the past year until the Selfie for Biodiversity contest event in May 2016. Do not submit previous entries anymore as it will be disqualified. You can only get this submitted from May 3, 2017 to noon of May 15, 2017 only, so don't be late!

The winner will get round trip airfare and accommodation for 2 (two) to any of the protected area or biodiversity areas under the jurisdiction of the DENR-BMB or a project site of the GIZ PAME Project (except the Islands of Batanes). If you want to know about these locations, just see here (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B27p-PoO0vdPQmlNN3NzOGktX0U). You will be sent a direct message if you win the contest. To see the complete contest mechanics and other details about the contest, please visit the Selfie for Biodiversity’s official Facebook or Instagram page or contact them via their phone number 02-426 0239, 02-441 8440. You can also email them at selfie.biodiversity.take2@gmail.com. Remember to post early so you can get chosen! I'll be posting my entries too so I can't wait to receive my prize! Hahaha!
