NINA Mounts Repeat of NINA XX Concert

Looks like people are going to flock to the Newport Performing Arts Theater as Asia's Diamond Soul Siren NINA is doing the repeat of NINA XX The Anniversary Celebration on September 24, 2026 at 8pm. 

Her special guests include Christian Bautista, Top Suzara and Thor. The show will be directed by Calvin Neri and produced by EchoJam and Synth. Tickets will be available at Ticketworld.com.ph.

Nina says "The show was wonderful and the people wanted to see it one more time because they were very happy to see the show. I really take care of my voice, take care of myself by being happy and positive. I believe being not stressed means you are taking care of yourself. I don't do anything that could make my voice hoarse, to preserve my voice. My first song was There'll You'll Be, I was already emotional because that was for my fans. I already cried that time but when I finished Loved Moves in Mysterious Ways, I balled already. Twenty years is a long time but the only thing that has changed is having more confidence being in front of people. I am more relaxed now. I have to thank the parents, when I did Nina Live, they really shared my music to the next generation, I am so happy about that."

She adds "When I first sang Love Moves in Mysterious Ways, the meaning was just for a relationship, but now it's about the people who support me. The guests are here, more than the last time, I now have Christian, Top and Thor, we did a few songs that are different now. My jokes will be different if I feel like it. My family watched the last time and they requested a few things, I'm thankful for that."

The concert was already thought of after the first concert, it was not rocket science to do a repeat because the first one was sold out. At the first Nina XX concert, people were requesting for some songs with Christian but he wasn't available that time. They plan to do more songs after some good feedback from those who watched the first show, but that's going to be a surprise according to NINA. 

Trivia: When she did NINA LIVE she was actually sick. Her go to Karaoke songs include All By Myself, and she wants to be remembered with her song Love Moves in Mysterious Ways. She wants Can't Say That I Love You to be played more because she wrote that.

Billy, JayR and Kris for SOUL BROTHERS

 This September 15, it'll be one epic evening to see three of the finest RnB artists in the country in one show. Filo French Dance artist Billy Crawford, RnB King JayR and RnB Prince Kris Lawrence will treat you with SOUL BROTHERS on this day, at the Kia Theater in Araneta Center, Cubao Quezon City. Now this is good news for the individual fans of these three guys who have been able to achieve a lot in their own respective careers. The show is about celebrating original music,  which have made them who they are these past few years.  It is but an homage to soul, motown and RnB classics that have influenced them to make music for the future of OPM. They will of course perform their hits, and even do numbers with their friends and co-artists Daryl Ong, Sam Concepcion, Jay Durias and Gloc 9. It'll be all male since the concept is of "brothers", so prepare to be swooned!  

JayR says "We've been together for about 20 years, we're neighbors (referring to Kris) but we met during high school. Billy came in when we met in GMA, he made a comeback a few years ago. Our culture, the way we look at things are the same, it's pinoy. Even if we were born in the states, we're legit. We were born in the states but we get refreshed when we go there, we learn other techniques that are not in the Philippines. It drives us to make it here."

JayR adds "Soul Brothers are our own idea, together with Arnold, we started to call this Small brothers a couple of years ago. We want to perform our own hits, the prod numbers would be the highlight. We wohls be taking this on the road, the US, Canada, Guam, places we plan to go to. We want to break that mold of Filipinos only doing covers. Our artists will be part of Original Filipino Music Only movement, which we have been doing in our own label. We will be doing our own songs, published, or new ones so there's a lot more to look forward to. It's obvious Kris is the higher range, I do soul, while Billy does swag and urban hiphop. We have different things to offer in one night. The healthy competition helps us better each time, the more we are in the studio the more we learn from each other and we receive it with love."

About the prank on JayR, Kris says "When we started taping, we had to improvise and I'm not an actor, and it just came and dragged on, but I'm glad it came out alright. He turned pale, he was sweating, it was crazy. Being with my brother and being in Homeworkz, it made he brand stronger. I confide with JayR a lot and he's my mentor. We ultimately want to create good music. My family is my greatest influence, together with Michael Jackson. "

Billy says "I think we are all passionate about music, we have different inputs but we are brothers so this is our dream concert. We've always talked about doing this together, made songs, but never had time to do it for each other. It's a big blessing for the three of us, being on stage, that comforts us. Right now, music is a mix, it doesn't matter what genre as long as it happens. We have many influences when it comes to music."

Jaya Almost Quit: Now Stages A Concert

I have had the pleasrue of seeing JAYA during the hey days and just like wine, I feel she's getting even better. After winning Metropop, countless number one singles, tons of albums, she's back in the concert scene through the Aqueous Entertainment's JAYA: NO BOUNDARIES Concert slated this Friday May 12, 2017. Isn't that good news?

The Queen of Soul is not letting out without new material beacuse as she mentioned "I don't want to be tagged in just one music genre whether it's classical or musical, I don't mind! You can expect stunning performances from my guests too." The concert's title was actually coined by Cornerstone's Jeff Vadillo and Jaya herself to mark her comeback to the concert scene. Producers Vinz Abasolo and David Bhowie Cabawatan promises you'll still get a glimpse of the iconic songs she's had over the years especially those that have marked platinum status plus a couple more of her favorite songs so you could enjoy what's about to happen in this single night. 

Her guests include Queen o R&B Kyla, Thor, KZ Tandingan, Kara, UPGRADE, Dancing in Tandem Royalties, Moira Lacambra, Jannah Zaplan, Nick Vera Perez and Reign Basa. "I have a lot of things that I want to share and for that evening, that is the goal. The exciting part is that I'm singing again. I'm happy to be back doing concerts and being on stage, I've been in different parts of the world too because of my friends from cornerstone. I feel honored being in the midst of talented singers too. I didn't realize it is near mothers day but it was just time, I even watched my Mom's videos last night and when my daughter even realized how great she was even now, she'll live forever and she's going to be part of the show. There's just going to be something for all of them. At first I didn't feel like prepared as I'm starting again, but the venue felt just right, I would feel crazy if this is in MOA or Araneta. I still have a dream, perhaps a concert with Regine and Lani, hopefully soon as I never had that opportunity so I'm dreaming about that (never hurts to dream right?). I prayed about this and almost thought of quietly leaving for the US during those 3 years because I had to make a living for my family, I asked the Lord to lead me when I was about to give up and when and event happened, Cornerstone came in the dressing room, and that was my turning point. That was it and now I'm doing a concert, even in other countries, plus It's Showtime on ABSCBN. I suggest those who are just starting, to perhaps when you're up there, don't rely on superficial ajilation. You also have to learn to ignore and let those people be blocked and deleted because all they want are attention. You don't have to give them the pleasure. 

Now the genre is getting wider, broader and even the men are singing different music. There is still so much more out there. My Mom is probably jumping for joy now because she's seeing change happen to me right now. On the concert you'll be seeing a lot of surprise numbers, me and the guests, you'll surely enjoy it!" she added.

This fresh new start seems to be the path she's taking and rightfully so, she deserves all the success she's getting. She's a fellow Trinitian (I'm a different batch) and I hope she does well in all her endeavors. She asked for the signs to stay, I guess she's going to get it all from God, loud and clear.
