Spinnr Wins At 20th Global Mobile Awards

Touted as the Oscars of the mobile world, the 20th Global Mobile Awards of the GSMA telecoms industry association has dubbed a Filipino App SPINNR to be the “Best Mobile Music App” this 2015. It was given during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. 

Spinnr was pitted against other nominees like Samsung’s Milk Music, Universal Music’s The Kleek, Bharti Airtel’s Wynk, and the Radio Sawa app. With the Philippines having a low credit card user base, Spinnr has been able to increase their subscriptions with prepaid and postpaid abled lines through the telecom lines of Smart, Talk ‘N Text, and Sun Cellular. It's got premium ad-free streaming, individual song purchases, and free radio service. You can use it for as low as P2.50 a day and with no extra data charges. Subscribers can pay for music downloads and stream conveniently, through affordable prepaid load deductions or just charging it to their postpaid bill. This can do without credit cards or special processes so it's very convenient.

I personally use it and have seen how the first music streaming app in the country has been able change the way Filipinos look at how to have things through mobile internet. Smart also introduced FREE Internet so usage is becoming part of normal rituals in Filipino lives. The more people online, the more they take advantage of the technology. Singing in the shower couldn't be so wonderful without it playing your favorite songs, streaming the best tracks, playlists in the country. It doesn't have to be expensive either!

Congratulations Spinnr! I can't wait to see the Spinnr Awards also this year! I hope the best music tracks, and artists in my list would end up winning most of the awards! Congratulations also to the team who have worked so hard behind this app too.
