Kapuso Star JILLIAN WARD Expecting Over 700 Guests on Debut

Wednesday, February 15, 2023

This morning was certainly super fun as we got to talk to Kapuso star Jillian Ward. She's been in the industry since she was 5, and has worked in several shows like Trudis Liit, Super Ma'am, My Special Tatay, Prima Donnas, and recently Abot-Kamay na Pangarap. She's not much of a child actress anymore and is turning 18 now, so preparations for her birthday celebration has been keeping her busy even after work. Even with no sleep, she innocently posted a photo on Instagram and it went viral for the good reason that she still looks absolutely gorgeous in it. Today on the blog conference, she detailed some of her debut's preparations and here's how our small talk with her went!

For starters, she's expecting over 700 people to attend the event. She tells us, a lot of these individuals are people who have worked with her in previous shows and it's why she's electing a more celebratory theme rather than something formal. She wants a party where she could just have fun with her loved ones, much of which has been instrumental with her successful career in GMA.

Jillian mentioned Alden Richards, several veteran actors, leading men from GMA's stable. She also wants Ms. Marian Rivera and her family to come but they might have plans prior to the event, she says they might arrange something with Dingdong Dantes before the day comes. She looks up to Marian and thinks so highly of her.

Jillian will also be with several GMA actresses, her friends who have also been with her in different shows so this will certainly be a huge gathering of stars. Mak Tumang will also be designing her ball gown, and a few will also be made in different parts of the event where she'll be performing. There will also be different stars performing in the event, and one of the reasons why she's busy these days is because they are already preparing, doing rehearsals for the big day!

Jillian Ward is certainly not a kid anymore. She wishes that everyone who she loves, and loves her would all be there. Happy birthday dear!

After launching the new Spark 6 Air a couple months ago, here goes TECNO Mobile getting super obsessed in entertaining Filipinos which they started last April 17 with YouTube superstars Beks Battalion, Baninay Bautista, Mika and super funny DONEKLA. The SPARK UP THE FUN show not only was comic genius, but they went ahead and gave away over 150 smartphones and tons of cash to lucky livestream viewers at the TECNO Mobile Facebook Page.

The Spark 6 Air is the perfect partner for work, learning and leisure and since it also packs a lot of juice, why not give you reasons to go back to the TECNO Mobile Facebook page by getting fresh Filipino Canadian phenom Darren Espanto, teen drama princess Jillian Ward, actress Dianne Medina, Boys Night Out's Sam YG plus the phenomenal and gorgeous Julie Anne San Jose all in one place for SPARK UP YOUR ENERGY happening on April 24th (that's this coming Saturday!) at 6PM.

Aside from the artists performances, they'll be giving away 150 prizes including mobile phone packages, smartphones, tons of cash too. Plus, they're going to give several fans the chance to be mentored by these artists so they too would be able to make their dreams of dancing, singing and performing a reality through SPARK UP YOUR ENERGY. They are also holding games and challenges with the artists, so this could be your chance to get up close (sans social distancing) and personal with your idols so make sure to be there when it happens on Saturday!

There will also be an exclusive offer for those who would be buying phones from Lazada that will be given during the livestream, so don't miss that part!

Oh and of course, they also ahve the CAMON 16 smartphone which are available in TECNO Mobile partner retail stores that only costs Php 7,990. It's got a quad camera setup with a 48MP main camera, a DOF and Macro Lens,  plus a wide angle one for your photography needs. GMA's "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko" (My Grandma Is Better Than You)

Friday, April 21, 2017

I've always had high regards to story lines that include grandmas. As someone who had experienced the love of my grandma, I always reminisce how she would always make time telling stories about history, the war torn years in the Philippines and what they did to survive. When I was a kid, she told me a bunch of stories that included mythical creatures, fables, commonly seen in English literature which made my interest flourish during those days and kept me love the language even more. I haven't really touched Philippine folklore (or fantasy) or anything like it aside from the ones I've learned in school, so this new program from GMA would definitely change the way Filipino kids, and not so kids alike to know more about it today.

Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko stars the grand dame of Philippine Cinema Ms. Gloria Romero (who plays Lola Goreng), childstars Jillian Ward (who plays Alice), David Remo (who plays Elvis), Chlaui Malayao (who plays Moira) and Julius Miguel (who plays Jorell). They'll be part of the cast who will tell the story and of course, tell you about the lessons you can learn with every episode. This will be part of GMA Sunday Grande Sa Gabe (at night).

Ms. Gloria Romero says "I'm glad to have been gotten to play this role, who would have thought that at this age I'd play a fairy right? This is very light, very cute and I'm really enjoying it! The kids that I'm with in this project are super good so I do have to come prepared to the set because they already know their lines."

Jillian Ward adds "I really love how Ms. Gloria shares her stories and you can really pickup a lot of lessons when she takes time to talk to us in between takes. You would eagerly want to do good in your work after having conversations with her."

This pilot week, they will have Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera guesting on their show. It starts this Sunday on GMA's evening primetime block. Get the updates about this show on Facebook.com/GMANetwork and www.gmanetwork.com today!
