The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Plans from Smart

Monday, November 20, 2017

I was one of the few who stayed up late and waited for the reveal of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to know if it'll fit me because honestly, I am in dire need of a phone because my current one is in need of an upgrade. Well, almost. This has been with me for years already and it still works, my other phones have already given up on me but I still do a lot of things with my 5S and 5. I could still function lol.

Just recently though, Smart has come out with the plans for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. If you've never heard of it yet, then I bring good news.

Their iPhone 8 plan only costs Php 2,699 a month which include 12GB of data, 1 free app (so it doesn't get counted over that), unli text 70 minute calls to all networks, plus a month free of Gadget Shield so you're good if ever something happens to it. If you prefer the iPhone 8 Plus, just shell out a couple more bucks which means you can pay Php 2,999 a month and get the same data allowance, calls, texts and one free month for the Gadget Shield too.

What this means is that you can get the phone without that huge CASH OUT that everybody's afraid about... and just pay it monthly like it's included in the bill. You'll pay less if you finish the whole 24 month period which gets you the phone, so head on to smart.com.ph/iphone8 now if you want to know more and avail it. I might be doing that in a few! Imagine this lovely phone with the best camera and processor to boot, if I'd be getting one it'll definitely be Smart!

It's Time for a Video Timeout!

My phone is dying, my phone is dying...

It's been a VERY busy day, I had two events in different locations which were pretty far and inconvenient to commute to, plus the torrential rain wasn't helping at all. I sat a few hours in traffic, you know how EDSA is. With my main phone drained of batteries I remember I've got my Smart Prepaid line inside my bag, so I took it out and prepared myself to de-stress. Of course I had a bit of Youtube.

Please don't judge me with my subscriptions! :(

Since I don't want to bother myself with the grueling task of taking out my LTE line from my original phone, I used my prepaid line instead. I need to watch about an hours worth of updates on my subscriptions, plus check my own videos over at Youtube.com/kumagcow (if you haven't subscribed yet please do). Glad to know they've got VIDEO TIMEOUT 10. I sent the code VIDEO10 to 9999. I received a confirmation and started watching.

This is the most awesome way to have unlimited data for Youtube streaming in one hour for only Php 10. Ten pesos? That's unbelievable. So I watched my favorite Youtube teasers, reruns, Video Bloggers, and Tekla concerts (now don't tell me you don't enjoy those concerts!) I could get my hands on. Soon enough, the Uber driver was already laughing with me while we sat on traffic for another hour, I arrived safely in Black Market but felt so bad to note that the event has already ended.

I went back quite happy, I never got traffic to ruin my day because even if I missed that event, I had one of the most enjoyable rides on Uber with that short breaktime. Breaktime is Youtube time!

It's 10 pesos for crying out loud, I saved a ton with that short journey because I felt the entertainment getting there was worth the trip! I even rated the driver five stars. Now if I could do the same for Smart I would, who would have thought I would enjoy traffic that much. You should too!

St Peter Life Plan Perks at Breakout Philippines

Monday, October 02, 2017

What does your life plan give you today? Couldn't answer much right? I know.

I asked that specific question because most often that not, your life plan provider doesn't give you anything side from just getting your money that's accorded in your plan. St. Peter Life Plan has been in the industry for years. True enough, they have retained the number one spot in the pre-need death care industry and has been able to provide more affordable packages in traditional memorial life plans. Now that's all good, but what is this thing they call Death Care Week?

It's their way of giving back to the community, one that they started 11 years ago. Back then even talking about death was a taboo, it made people uncomfortable, but you know how convenient it would be to have one so as not to disturb your own family when you leave this world. They held a lot of events, helped tons of people get to and from cemeteries during Halloween, All Saints Day and All Souls Day. This year seems a lot special because aside from their usual community projects, they have also added perks to all St. Peter Life Plan holders together with Breakout Philippines. Have you
heard of them?

Look at me so happy to solve this room! LOL!

Breakout Philippines has been providing group and family entertainment for a couple of years now. They have themed mystery rooms in different malls, buildings, with the goal of solving it and I've done it quite a number of times. This time however, the partnership they have with Breakout Philippines means all Employees, Sales Agents, Plan Holders with PHIC (plan holders identification cards) or signed St. Peter Life Plan Contracts will get Php 100 OFF their rates on these specific rooms. For SM North Edsa's Boogetman and Sleep No More, Greenbelt 5's Corpse Bride, Katipunan's Clownhouse and Paragon Plaza's Hide and Seek. We actually tried the one in SM North Edsa a few days ago and by golly, it was so much fun I wanted to try the other rooms too.

Make sure you look for an additional clue, it's the St. Peter Pink Casket!

The Boogeyman had a difficulty of 4/5 because you literally don't have things to actually start with, you just have to find clues and know how to open the cases. It's really fun to do with a group of 5 or more. The best thing that happened that afternoon is of course, we got out of The Boogeyman room in record time. I think we clocked in at around 38 minutes for a 45 minute limited time room. Now is your chance to do it, so go to these branches to get those perks people!

For more details about Death Care Week, please take a look at my article here. Thanks St. Peter for letting us experience this Breakout Philippines Boogeyman room!
