Costa Coffee Sends Off Jyl Orila To London!

Monday, October 16, 2017

Serious. These three judges will be responsible on actually sending off one of the performers to London as Costa Coffee does the finale for #SingYourWayToLondon at the Costa Coffee Galleria Branch in Pasig City. I'm sure blogger extraordinaire David Guison, Paulo Valenciano and Kiana Valenciano will be having a tough time choosing the rightful winner because man... these contestants are gonna give it their all to get that all expense paid trip to the land of the Queen, Big Ben and all things British.

April Almonte of Costa Coffee says "We brought UK's best coffee here so we are bringing the best Philippine artist we could find to the UK, that's the best deal right? We are known to be good singers and this would be an opportune time to make that dream come true for someone and this would be it!"

Jyl Orila did a cover of SEND MY LOVE by Adele, pretty good, her upbeat version of it was done so it would be like coffee in the morning.

Inna Valera sang STOP by Spice Girls with her friend, despite some technical glitches they still sang their hearts out. Just like friends in a Karaoke booth, like no one is watching but in real life, the whole Ortigas Business district was there! LOL

Maqui Castelo sang Yellow by Coldplay, he was a bit nervous, we could actually hear and feel it but later on in the song, it was all okay. He did his best and that's what matters. They did this for fun, and we're already having fun!

Maki Santos was doing this for her Mom's 60th birthday. She sang a medley of Brit songs. She startes with Adele's Rolling in the Deep, then Amy Winehouse's Rehab then back to Adele again though, she had angst and stuff. I guess the judges would have a hard time choosing the winner now.

Pia Gabrielle Alfonso sang something about moving on from a past relationship, it's called Your Song by Rita Ora. I actually enjoyed that song a lot. She was a little nervous but she did it anyway, she had fun too.

Then they announced the winner, congratulations Jyl Orila. I'm sure you'll love London! Congratulations Costa Coffee too, wish to join this too soon!

Pioneer Declares #MoveOnLang Songwriting Winners

Thursday, February 02, 2017

I like what Pioneer is doing particularly the #MoveOnLang songwriting competition who just held their finals night at Hard Rock Cafe in Makati City. Together with the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP), One Music PH and Pioneer Professional Sales Agency, they sought to find the best song among 150 submissions from different schools, colleges and universities as they vie for the grand prize of Php 100,000. They will also have the chance to win Php 50,000 and Php 30,000 if they land 1st and 2nd runner up in this competition. Judges include Joy Mesina of OneMusicPH, Noel Cabangon and Rico Blanco of FILSCAP, Pioneer Retail Organizational Head Lorenzo Chan Jr. and prolific songwriter Nonoy Tan.

They have already declared winners for the Online Favorite and it was Julia Dichoso who composed "Hand in Hand" who got 44.96% of the votes. Drei Chua of San Beda College Alabang on the other hand got a special citation for the excellent work he did on the song he composed called "Bangon". They won't get empty handed though because all finalists will get Php10,000 cash plus Php100,000 insurance coverage from the good people from Pioneer.

Songs included were Martsa Ni Martha, Chronosphere, Make It Through, Time, Hand in Hand, Invincible, From Now On, Aking Mundo, The Biggest Lead, Alive and Bangon.

In the end Kenneth won 2nd runner up who did ALIVE, First Runner up is Benjamin Quijano who Did Akin ang Mundo, and the Champion is the one I liked too... Invincible by Yosef Escoto. Congratulations!

Monday, May 30, 2016

This calls for a celebration!

It looks like my candydate RED won the recent candy election with M&M. The candydates undoubted popularity stemmed from it's platform of toughness, smartness, of which most voters actually wanted. We've been steadily campaigning since day 1 and now that he's won, my team mates and I would like to thank all the people that supported us in this endeavor.

After a month long campaign, M&M’S® Red has won the Vote for M&M’S® 2016 best candy elections. He has garnered a whopping 10,243  posts  or  47%  of  the  total  votes. This is up 10% from the previous release of partial election returns a few weeks ago.

On Second place, it's M&M’S® Green who got 32% of total votes or 6,972 posts whilst M&M’S® Yellow on the other hand has got third place with 21% of total votes or 4,547 posts. Good campaigns and the recent miting de avance must have really boosted the confidence of the supporters, in the end it was all about how REDDY you are about leadership, how tough you are in facing issues and taking action whenever needed. This is why RED won and it's a great way to have met tons of people in social media that supported our cause. With that, thank you!

By the way, congratulations also to these winners! You will be contacted by M&M’S® representatives so please make sure you check your social media accounts on how to claim your prize!
