Bench Celebrity Scents: Love Affair by Lovi Poe!

She's one of the most beautiful faces that has graced the small screen and silver screen. Coming from a lineage of gifted actors like her father, the one and only King Fernando Poe Jr., she has a lot to prove. Honing her talent and becoming one of the most sought after actresses of her time, Lovi has made her name and now has broken ground on the industry she now calls her own. She has waited so patiently, and now the time has come to finally launch her own fragrance. This is LOVE AFFAIR by Lovi Poe.

The event started with the curtains down, then this fashion editorial cum music video was shown to the public. This is a composition by the artist formerly known as Viktoria. Shown on a large video wall, it was a sight to behold! Everyone in the mall stopped to check it out... even Lovi Poe was seeing this for the first time. 

I can't wait for this to be played in stores or music channels soon!

Then when the curtains opened, Lovi Poe was in the middle donning a short skirt, tight red top and cute little cat ears.

The overall vibe of the music video and her song number was really enough to put us in the mood. It was all sexy, sultry, classy and totally Lovi Poe. Then after that, she did the next best thing and whipped out her moves too! Her backup dancers was formidable. It was tons of lifting and sexy moves, she indulged to show what she's got to the crowd!

She showed a more playful side to her personality and I've known Lovi Poe for quite some time now. It definitely feels that these are all the ingredients that make up who she is. She's fun, a real sweetheart then by a sudden costume change.... we saw the sexy and sultry part.

Spending Time with Alden Richarrds on Fathers Day!

An afternoon with Dad was surely in the works because of Father's day. A couple of days ago we spotted one good looking guy at the SM North Edsa-Annex Bowling center, and he's Alden Richards!

Dubbed as the "Pambansang Dimples", Alden has took time out and spent quality hours with his Dad Mr. Richard Faulkerson Sr.. As you may already know, his Dad raised him when his Mom passed away. It's been tough times for him and his family and it's a good thing he's been blessed with projects from GMA. He told me that his station had given him lots of opportunities and he knew he didn't make the wrong choice of being loyal to the kapuso channel.

 

He was so nice in person, he had no hangups and very well mannered. Alden also had some small stories on how it was when they were kids. He always wants to go out but his Dad was very strict. His Dad says though that he didn't have a hard time with Alden because he's always behaved quite well. He knows he needs to be at home at a certain time of the day. He won't do anything that would make his Dad angry, pretty much an all around good boy.

Alden's Dad was very soft spoken. He told us a lot about Alden and some more stories when he was growing up. He's so happy that Alden had received awards and told us how proud he was every time Alden gets recognized and win awards. He tries as much as possible to spend time with Alden and also help him whenever he can. If Alden needs someone to drive him out of town, Dad takes the initiative to also file for leave from work... imagine that.

 

Alden appreciates what his Dad has given him all these years. He never stops to thank him in every small way and his Dad appreciates it. When asked about what Dad thinks about Alden's love life, he knows that Alden can handle it. He's matured enough to handle matters on his own and Dad gave Alden the freedom to decide about his work. Alden loves how his Dad trusts him with his decisions, but if he needs help he always consults him.

He's got one of the most perfect faces I've ever seen in public TV. He's destined for good things in the future and I can't wait to see him in more projects via GMA. Thanks to GMA Talent Center for hooking us up to get to meet this guy, and his Dad.

HERO Foundation: It's time to be HEROES for our HEROES' CHILDREN!

I went to Trinoma a few days ago to attend the launch of the new donation boxes that the HERO Foundation was putting up in strategic locations nationwide. These new boxes actually contain something evidently touching because on the half part of it are dog tags. It symbolizes the soldiers who have donated their lives for the country. Now it's your turn to help them out!

You see, we have men and women working in the Armed Forces to keep our country safe from those who want to wreak havoc or occupy it. Some also are insurgents in the South or communists rebels too. In the battle field, there are heavily armed men and these soldiers can either get hurt or slain while serving their country. What happens is that they leave their families and relatives behind. Who's going to take care of them? Who's going to pay for their education? That's where the HERO Foundation comes in to help.

HERO Foundation has helped hundreds of kids to go to school and they continually are getting huge corporations as sponsors so these kids who had their parents killed in action or disabled still have a chance to finish their studies and help their own families too.

Take for example this gallant solider who nearly lost his life to an ambush by rebels in Mindanao. He couldn't work anymore and he has kids who are still studying. He wanted to have himself killed even so the enemies won't get information from him. God and some of his fellow soldiers helped him and after he has survived, HERO foundation helped him to get his daughter be sent to school.

Celebrities and bands like SixCycleMind and Callalily also attended the event so they could show their support for HERO Foundation. This is Kean Cipriano's birthday so it was really special for him to finally get to help a foundation such as HERO. These bands know how important education is for these kids and they didn't hesitate to help when they were asked. They even performed for the crowd and made it even more special by dedicating songs to the cause. Here's an excerpt of their performances that afternoon!

Time... I've been passing time watching trains go by... All of my life... lying on the sands watching sea birds fly... hehe you must have sang along with me on that bit huh? Well guess what, the lone woman who made that song as wonderful and classy as it is is coming back to Manila by storm! Yes it's Patti Austin and she's coming with Joe Pizzulo. I can just imagine how this concert will turn out oh the 80's are just but a dream... and now it's all coming true! 

Patti Austin will again sing to you favorites like "In My Life", "If I believe", "It Might Be You" and many more! Joe Pizzulo the former front man of Sergio Mendes in the 80's will get you fall in love again with "Never Gonna Let You Go", "What do we mean to each other", and my personal favorite "Take This Love". The memories just keeps crashing back to me!
