Complete Results: 2nd WISH Music Awards

We were here last year and covered a very successful WISH 107.5 Music Awards night where Darren Espanto clearly lead the winners, and this year they're off to give awards to deserving OPM Artists where they would win proceeds for their respective chosen charities. I felt this was a really good way for artists to give back to their fans, and their beneficiaries and about 13 awards are up for grabs in this year's 2nd WISH Music Awards. As you may know, winners of these awards were chosen by Wishers (50% of online votes) and a panel of judges from the music and recording industry. This includes Mitch Valdez of  OPM, Alvin De Vera of PARI, Noel Cabangon of FilsCap, Gary Valenciano, Francis Reyes of Billboard Philippines, Isah Red and Ms. Earth 2015 Angelia Ong. 

The show was hosted by Robin Nievera, Gretchen Ho and Alexander Diaz.

Performers include Pinoy Boyband PH

The finalists from Tawag ng Tanghalan also gave an Adelle medley!

Bruno Mars came to life with Michael Pangilinan, JayR, Jason Dy and Kris Lawrence.

Zia Quizon was gorgeous! She lost a lot of weight I think.

Winners of the 11 major categories will receive Php 100,000 for their chosen charities and cash prizes of Php 25,000 for the artists. In total they are giving away over Php 1 Million, which is so good for these groups who need help!

The 2nd WISH 107.5 Music Awards

Heads up Wish 107.5 listeners! It's been a year since you all last witnessed the WISH 107.5 Music Awards and they're now doing the second one on January 16, 2017. I was there during the ceremonies last year and there were tons of performers who just made the night worthwhile because most of the country's biggest OPM stars were all there!

This year they're making it even better because gracing the awards night are artists Morissette Amon, KZ Tandingan, Zia Quizon, Charice, Sassa Dagdag, Kris Lawrence, Michael Pangilinan, Jason Dy and Marcelito Pomoy. They will also have Boyband PH, Tawag ng Tanghalan Finalists Eumee Capili, Gidget Dela Llana, Pauline Agupitan, Maricel Callo, Marielle Montellano and Noveb Belleza among others. 

They will also recognize 13 artists/groups among the 75 music acts that performed during the previous year. The highly coveted WISH Reactor's Choice Award and WISHclusive Viral Video of the Year will also be given away on the same night. Aside from that, they will also launch WISHclusive Elite Circle for artists who have attained 10 Million views on Youtube. Winners willbe judged 50% via online voting on www.wish1075.com/wishawards (opens now until January 16, 12 noon) and 50% via a panel of judges made up of WISH Executives and acclaimed artists. So if you are supporting your idols, you better vote now!

Wish 107.5 Launches First WISH 107.5 Music Awards

Wish 107.5 just launched the WISH Music Awards and is holding it on January 26th. It's their first and by the looks of it, their esteemed set of judges will also have a hard time choosing who will win the awards. 50% will come from fan votes, 50% will come from the judges scores. Judges will be given audio files and briefed about the criterias before the actual day. They had a voting period last October 2015 and after getting those songs and seeing the performances, they shortlisted the names and had them as nominees. Surprisingly they got the indie and upcoming artists also included in some categories. They have 15 artists also performing in the show including Darren Espanto, Marlo Mortel, Daryl Ong and other recording artists. This is no joke because they'll be giving away Php 100,000 to the artist's beneficiaries aside from the tokens and awards to be given to them. 

The categories are up for Most Promising Artist, Best Wish Cover, Best Wishclusive Performance by a Young Artist, Best Wishclusive Performance by a Group, Best Wishclusive Performance by a Male Artist, by a Female Artist, Urban Song of the Year, Alternative Song of the Year, Ballad Song of the Year, Original Song of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Young Artist of the Year. Whoo! That's a lot!

 Wish FM is not after ratings, and they're getting tons of support from their listeners and this is just their first year. They want to prove the 70's, 80's, all hit songs from their station is worthy to be played 24/7 in the Philippines. They'll be doing a lot of promos to get those lovely songs to your cars and homes. So make sure you tune in to the station or go to Araneta Coliseum on January 26! They will however have a preview on January 24 as the nominees will be there!
