MARVIN RILLO Discusses Key Issues & Plans for QC's 4th District

Saturday, May 10, 2025

Had the chance to chat with Quezon City 4th District Representative Marvin Rillo. With the way things are going, he's got a positive demeanor and quite optimistic that surveys and the people in his district would prove him right against issues and noise in social media which he discussed a bit this evening.

Sir Marvin says "Now that the campaign is almost over, I would like to assure the district and the Filipino people, we will file cases and make sure congress to go after these unscrupulous people mar people without evidence. She's using public perception, I will make sure she gets what she deserves. I've been a councilor for 9 year and never have I ever been accused of corruption."

He adds "I'm a businessman, my foresight is huge for the district, the gymnasium in Carlos Albert is a very nice project, and we are keen on building more schools."

"We can show what we have in our district, we historically have great congressmen here. We have over. 5000 scholars right now. We didn't have one in the previous administration, and now we do."

Here's our interview with him this evening:

"For me, I'm here for people. My track record speaks for itself, several laws in education, medical and ambulatory services, I'm not a known person, but only in my district, but now because of my hard work they recognize me."

I'm so happy to note several of his projects include health as a priority (that are exclusively for those who are in the 4th district). This certainly could alleviate difficulties in addressing concerns not just for the D and E segments, but even the middle class that deserve help too. Imagine, there's free medicine, clinical and ambulatory services... and we have only learned about it today. I'll do my share to tell people about it in this district. (Make sure you listen to the conversation on the video about it!)

(Note: Edited parts of the quoted conversation for brevity, see video for full interview)

I'm looking for sincerity, no nonsense work and a heart that would listen to the people in my district. If you see that in him, would you consider choosing him for the congress post?!

ZSA ZSA PADILLA Releases "Pag Tinadhana" Album and Announce THROUGH THE YEARS CONCERT

Friday, May 09, 2025

The Divine Diva Ms. Zsazsa Padilla was so happy today as she got a new album launched called "Pag Tinadhana", and celebrated her legacy of breaking barriers with a concert slated this coming May 17th at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.

She says "When I first heard the demo with my producers, I cried because of how it was made. Doing this press conference in the Dolphy theater is bittersweet, they named it after him to dedicate it to him. Times have changed, circumstances too, I just learned to keep on accepting, I think that's what we do to keep it alive."

"It's been 6 years since my last concert, I have been operated 3 times, I was born with it and imaging didn't come til now. I discovered it during Zsa Zsa Zsaturnah and was in excruciating pain and got surgery. Had my checkups and I have partial nephrectomy in my left side, my second surgery was laparoscopic, it was really bad and I had to go back to the US. I went home then tried Singapore and they got to do my 3rd surgery, with a robot. I had no pain. I'm good now and have no reflux anymore."

"I also wanted to sing about empty nesting, when your kids are leaving the house, that's what it talks about. That was made into Never Be Alone."

"I think with every album, it comes with the life you lived. It's connected, takes you back in time. It's the same for a lot of people, even more when you're in love. There's not one song that covers my life. Hiram was created in front of me, he was strict when we were recording. I was 19 then, and years later I would connect to the song because of my experience, like life imitating art."

She deems hard work and luck, waking with a passion that made her stay in the industry. Her love for singing is unquestionable, so if you want to see her sing again, go get tickets for "THROUGH THE YEARS" at TicketWorld today!

BENHUR ABALOS Gets Nod of REGAL ENTERTAINMENT Execs and Showbiz Heads

Friday, May 09, 2025

Talk of the town is Benhur Abalos, and today he's gotten the nod of the executives of Regal Entertainment and several entertainment industry heads at Valencia in Quezon City.

The event was hosted by Roselle Monteverde, Keith Monteverde, Dondon Monteverde and was witnessed by Boots Anson Roa Rodrigo, Direk Perci Intalan, actors Phoebe Walker, and Nico Antonio.

Ms. Roselle Monteverde says "More than the industry, the help we need is for the country. He is tested, done a lot, I believe we need a person like him. I hope people think hard of who could help us in our need."

Benhur Abalos says "I started at #35 in surveys and slowly went up, I was a bit disheartened, but I believed in myself. Now is the crucial week, and in the last few days I got endorsements from Senator Drilon, VP Leni Robredo, Vice Ganda, several organizations and entities. SWS reported yesterday I got 6 percent increase and within striking distance. Seeing friends in the film industry, even during MMFF and during COVID, we were doing hard work in producing movies. What we've done before, we will make it a reality. I am very methodical, but we got our city to become a Tiger City and have had several awards not just here but internationally. Dear friends, whatever happens, I will do my best and leave it up to the Lord!"

He adds "I was surprised because Vice doesn't endorse easy, but at this point, I'd like to thank her and the many celebrities who helped make that. It caught a lot of attention, and it really means a lot. I'm a bit emotional, my journey has been challenging and in the last 2 days, they willingly helped and endorsed me. It's like my birthday happening again, thank you really. Our electricity didn't have tax in the past, now our other utilities prices have increased, and on record I will try to remove this. We are the second highest rate in Asia. I also plan to help in agriculture, it's a long process, I am saying this because I don't want to see fertile land become subdivisions. I'm saying this in front of cameras now. The rate of electricity is certainly high, and also we can help with the local government code. The barangay roads, their funding can only afford pay for their personnel. It is my track record that is different, I see people say it's the educational system. When I was Mayor, we saw malnourished kids in our city. If you have the best teachers, it doesn't address hunger. We started working from taking care of women while they are pregnant, supported food programs later on, and it now resulted with us getting the highest marks compared to other cities. It stopped growth stunting. Countrymen, a Senator makes laws, not just in one or more industries but for the whole country. We need a lot of policies to be fixed."

Here's more from the press conference this morning:

Would you consider him?
