Meet Benedict Lim the CEO and Founder of market leader OATSIDE
If you're like me who frequent coffee shops, the variety is just limitless especially when it comes to the cup you prefer. No matter what coffee shop you go to though, there's one brand that you see on the shelves in exchange of regular cow's milk, and that's the nutty goodness of OATSIDE.
It's oat milk made sustainably, with none of those artificial stuff you find in the market. It's nutritious, very healthy and very low in saturated fats. In the past, it used to be super expensive to have it in beverages. When OATSIDE came to the Philippines, it drove prices down by almost 25%. That's a very significant number as they made their products affordable and very accessible.
OATSIDE CEO and Founder Benedict Lim made it their mission to make oat milk a household brand and brought the 1L Barista Blend to Php 120.00 and the 200ml to only Php 29.00 SRP. To date, they've got the brand in over 15 countries and enjoyed in Chocolate and Coffee variants too.
They all feel the love in the Philippines and eager to introduce this new price in supermarkets, groceries and stores nationwide. Go follow OATSIDE on Facebook and IG because from the looks of it, they've got more up their sleeves!
Remember, OATSIDE is sustainable inside and out. It gives you your calcium needs without the guilt!
In 1890, San Miguel was born. They began expanding to 70 countries and has never stopped winning the hearts of consumers too. It's been 135 years, and this 2025 the mighty brew of Manila has been a symbol of Filipino pride. They're launching a limited edition can together with artist Francis Nacion.
Francis was inspired by close family ties, friendships and to mark this occasion, a painting was commissioned to showcase culture, heritage, and togetherness.
Ice Seguerra performed with the cast of WALANG ARAY as a treat for patrons and media who covered the event.
This is the artwork that was unveiled that evening, done by Francis Nacion. This will don the actual San Miguel cans.
Carlos Verba the SMC President says "We would like to thank Francis for the impressive piece of art that he did in collaboration with SMB. 2025 marks the celebration of our 135th year, we have sustained to become a cultural icon, including Joya, Bencab, Alcala, and it depicts how ingrained we are in culture. It's a long way back, and it ceases to amaze me how we were able to go through time when Rizal was still alive. I counted years, including all the occasions that we would be part of. Globally we were there. Most technology were not yet even thought of, but we already had San Miguel. In 1930 we were already being exported. In the 39's we were also in the US, HK and Shanghai. If you ask the old timers, they would think they were a local brand, but it is a Filipino brand. Even in Spain we had it, still is one of the leading brands in UK and the EU, hard to convince them that it started here. They all trained in Angeles in the Philippines. We were ahead by 100 years versus some of the leading brands today. We are also in UAE and in South Korea. We are present in 7000 islands, Pale Pilsen was born together with C3rv3sa N3gra. It has grown to now San Mig Light, the flavored beers, the 10 percent Red Horse, we are developing more in the coming years.
He adds "In addition, SMB is not just brewing it, but making sure it's or high quality. We are the most awarded Filipino brand and we will make sure to achieve greater heights. We will achieve our goals."
Here's a raised glass to the men and women of San Miguel Corporation. Congratulations on your 135th year, and wishing for more reasons to celebrate in the coming years!
The folks from SANTÉ International recently celebrated their 18th
anniversary, a feat that has been lauded with not just local fans, but

people to be better versions of themselves, equipped with transformative
leadership and proud to be Filipino, there's more reasons to celebrate!
Their natural health products especially barley has been very successful, and they continue to also become advocates for health and wellness across the world.
Chief Executive Officer Joey Marcelo says "This organization has been in the business of finding the right business partners and owners. They are the ones actively building the business not just here but globally. From day 1 we tried to find the right people, not just the ones who are best when it comes to products, but it's the leaders that make the products move. 18 years after, we are known around the world. When you say Barley, it immediately means Sante. This inspires us, and makes us happy."
They add "This is our debut, we have more experience now. We found the right business partners and have seen their wonderful dreams happen. Changes? A lot, it's taken as a challenge and we are very flexible. We're very fast in pivoting, and it has propelled us in success."
18 years is unbelievable. A Filipino company now has its own manufacturing facility in New Zealand, and it caters to not just Filipino but a global market. Now there are Italians, Americans, those in the Middle East who use their products. Here's a little talk we had with some of their business leaders who exemplify how it is to succeed with SANTÉ
Barley Grass has been in their business for a long time. Previously, it was marketed incorrectly and they did their research to make sure it gets to the intended market. When they got their research team on it, they only said why did they only see this now. It's has everything one needs nutritionally, vitamins, minerals too. It was just recommended to him and they realized how powerful it is. There's no major player, and they are the barley champion. It's now a household brand, and they believe it's the number 1 food supplement brand in the country. They will continue to innovate, starting with NEXTAI for the world market. Evolving in infrastructure, compensation plans, build the business globally. They know this new infrastructure will benefit their organization, and they are focusing on this right now as part of their future plans.
To this day, SANTÉ International has been changing and transforming lives. Through their channels and small networks, they've got ordinary employees, ordinary folks who initially didn't believe it, now have their lives and future secured. This is what they want to happen to their future business owners, their partners who also want to take part in introducing not just the Sante Barley but the new products they plan to release this year. If you would like to be part of that, visit their website or their social channels because they've been looking for you!
Congratulations SANTÉ International! Here's to more years of what is, and what could be!
With the recent changes on this topic and policies over the week, the PlaySafe Alliance has issued a statement:
They have specified the importance of regulation, protection and lawful procedures they follow especially for their sector who are licensed operators. They also reiterate their support for Bangko Central and their actions on consumer protection and removal of non licensed operators from pay platforms.
Here's hoping that these policies benefit the ordinary Filipinos as we've become victims to some and destroyed lives too.
