Canada Issues 8,000 Visa's for Migrant Workers

The government of Canada issued 8,000+ visa's for Filipinos who would want to work in parts of the said country. Guest workers Visa were given as indicated in the labor agreement that was signed between Philippines and the 4 provinces of Canada namely Nova Scotia, Manitoba, British Colombia and Alberta. In the said agreement, Filipinos workers were not required anymore to secure recruitment fees and they will get the same benefits as with their Canadian counterparts. This does also give them the option of applying for "Immigrant" status in the future. This is great news for out new heroes, the OFW's. ^_^

Manny "The Pacman" Pacquiao will be given the title "Ambassador of Peace" tomorrow when he goes to Malacanang Palace to honor him in his greatest feat of beating Boxing Icon Oscar Dela Hoya. In the Senate, he will also be honored by Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri by making a resolution to put him into "boxing sports hero" status. Included in Pacquiao's itinerary is the mass that will be held in Quiapo Church for thanksgiving before he goes to Malacanang for courtesy call with the President.
