Jennifer Hudson sings at the Superbowl!

I just watched this in CNN a while ago and was ecstatic just like some of you too. With the newest season of American Idol airing here 6PM, people are looking for the one who made headlines a couple of weeks ago. She is Jennifer Hudson, and she will sing in this year's SUPERBOWL.

This is the grandest sports event in the United States and people always look forward for the shows before the actual game. With the disaster that came upon her 57-year-old mother, Darnell Hudson; 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson; and 7-year-old nephew Julian King that were slain in Chicago in October, this is one of the events that she'll be appearing in. She will be singing the National Anthem in the said event while Bruce Springsteen is to sing during halftime of the professional American football championship game. I really am saddened over what happened to her family, if only they could see her now and what she has accomplished I know they too will be proud of her. In this most watched spectacle in US television, I'm sure millions of people would appreciate her outstanding voice. I on the other hand already did. She was even great at her “Dream girls” role which won her a Best Actress award in the Oscars.

Oklahoma Real Estate just got Better

Oklahoma is located in the South Central region of the United States. It is estimated to have about 3.5 Billion residents and a land area of 68,667 square miles. Every time I hear about this state, I remember Billy Gilman's song of the same name. It was one of the few things that made me cry over at MTV.

Oklahoma is the 28th most populous and 20th-largest state. Its name is derived from the words OKLA and HUMMA which means "red people" and is known informally by its name, The Sooner State. It was the 46th state to enter the union and its citizens are known as Oklahomans. The state’s capital and largest city is Oklahoma City.

With small mountain ranges, prairie, and eastern forests, most of Oklahoma lies in the Great Plains which speaks of picturesque places to reside in. It has been subject to many western portraits and landscape paintings because of its natural beauty. I would really love to put up my own farm and live there. The oklahoma city real estate condition is very lucrative and there are houses available for everyone to fit their taste and budget. There are also pre-foreclosure, bank-owned and foreclosure auction properties you can choose from in the Tulsa, Shreveport, Oklahoma, and Louisiana regions. To help you choose the right one in this Democratic driven state, there are a lot of agencies you can go to but the best one still stays to be at http://www.remax-oklahoma.com. Check it out and try to get your dream homes now.

Temps to 40 below zero in US Cold Wave

A man walks beside Capitol Building. I wonder if he saw the cheese too LOLZ!

The US got hit with the coldest of cold waves where the Upper Midwest was affected sending hundreds of cars in traffic jams and a few streets literally frozen. Snowstorms were there closing schools and making most people think twice before going outside coz it may eventually freeze their you know what! Ha-ha!

On Wednesday it swept into New York sending temperatures falling from the 30s a day before to single digits or below zero. Rivers were almost dead frozen in and around the city as they fall into the same. I wonder how it is in tunnels and subways these days. They may be frozen too you know, and it may cause accidents. I heard there were even trucks that toppled thousands of kilograms of cheese on the road. Imagine how many macaroni and cheese lovers are probably worried about this. But really, thinking about that makes me hungry all of a sudden. Let me see if I can grab a sandwich before I get serious with work. ^_^

Grandma should have had a Lift Chair

In the Philippines, we are in a world where we are surrounded by our extended families. Third degree relatives are so close that even on some instances they even manage to live in the same house. This is very normal to us but thinking about it we have one characteristic that does not apply in other countries; we care for our elderly. I lived in a house where my Grandmother was part of the logistics of educating me at home. I learned poems, read books, essays, literature, public speaking and the English language at a very young age because she taught me everything. That is something that I cherish until now.

When she fell ill a couple of years back she had hard time even standing up. Her knees particularly got weak as she grew older and wiser. She couldn’t even come to the church anymore because the steps to their chapel almost took 20+ before you could get to the platform and more to get to their benches. That was really hard for a 76 year old lady to do and she even got us to tag along there. Imagine how painful that was for her.

At home, she usually sits at the rocking chair placed comfortably in our living room; and she spends the afternoon resting there which she so deserves. We did not have the technology at that time to even have a Lift Chair so it would be easier for her to stand up. We knew how hard it was for her because if we weren’t there helping her to stand, the rocking chair made it doubly arduous indeed. I envy senior citizens and disabled people today because they have the chance to own one if they purchase it at http://www.usmedicalsupplies.com. She already joined her creator in 1995, we all love her dearly. I’ll still remember her the same way and I know she could have had all the comfort in the world if she still lived today. She knows we have done our best to pay her respect. We don’t send people to senior homes because we believe the last years she stays here should be with her family. I hope one day we all realize to do our best to make everyone in the family happy. We need to do our very best to leave this world a little better than when we found it. So if our turn comes to die we will have a happy feeling that we have not wasted our time; but have done our best.
