DENNIS TRILLO is the face of Beautéderm Belle Dolls ZERO FILTER Light Sunscreen

Thursday, May 08, 2025

Hotter than summer and the heat of the sun, we were so lucky to have found DENNIS TRILLO. The good looking prime actor from GMA was just declared as the face of Beautéderm Corporation's Belle Dolls ZERO FILTER Light Sunscreen. It's the newest summer must have from the same folks that brought you the Belle Dolls drinks and Beautéderm products that have been the go to for a lot of folks from Philippine showbiz.

This endorsement was just apt for the man as his wife Jennylyn Mercado was also endorsing for the same brand about 10 months ago. He's got great skin, a really refreshing demeanor, and a body that women would adore bar none.

Beautéderm CEO Ms. Rei Tan says "It's always a pleasure sharing milestones with you all. 5 months ago, we launched this product and believe we have already reached a market. We are always truthful about what we sell. Consumers are the ones who move numbers, and we made genuine connections. Becoming the best means hard work, desire, please welcome our Best Actor, Dennis Trillo! He is the face of Belle Dolls Zero Filter Sunscreen. We do not follow trends, we aim to be the best."

Ms. Rei adds "We need men as endorsers, often seen using multiple functions in one formula, sunscreen is something that we use to lessen ageing. I want A listers to be part of our brands, and I see they've been using our other products already even before getting them as endorsers. I also want families to be part of it. He's very kind, we have kids in college, he might be very shy at times, but he's a very good man. I love how they are very considerate, they are also easy to talk to, even their manager. I already know them more personally, so it's very easy to work with them."

Dennis told us a few things of how they handle grooming and activities at home "Applying sunscreen is essential these days. This is the same for work. Being together for years, we have made really good teamwork at home. Jen's ability to do tough love is something I admire about her. She's more of a disciplinarian, I spoil my kids often. It's good that we have products that help either maintain my skin, or protect us from the harmful rays of the sun. That Best Actor title does come with pressure, but I don't think about it too much."

You need to re-apply sunscreen every 2 hours. This is very light, doesn't have that ghost look when you put it on. There's also a spray bottle if you want to do it fast and consistent. They said the product is being sold out in branches nationwide and only borrowed from other branches to showcase them today. If it's too sunny and hot outside, please make sure you get yourself protected. Those wrinkles didn't come overnight but sun damage can really do harm on your face and other parts of your body.

Dennis also uses Cristaux products aside from this Belle Dolls Zero Filter Sunscreen. If it works for him, it's  going to be easy to see you use it too.  It's available in various Beautederm kiosks and branches nationwide. Go get one for the beach trips you plan to do today. It's also available online on shops, just search for it. You don't need filter to do wonders on those selfies, make sure you invest in good skin.

LANI MISALUCHA: STILL LANI at The Theatre at SOLAIRE

Wednesday, May 07, 2025

Our love for Asia's Nightingale Ms. Lani Misalucha will become even stronger as Backstage Entertainment stages a concert at The Theatre at SOLAIRE on August 21st this year.

This concert is directed by Calvin Neria with Musical Direction by Toma Cayabyab (son of National Artist Ryan). Backstage Entertainment is under Backstage Manila that had done a lot of events and is creative agency.

Atty. Nate Quijano of Backstage Manila says "Our company is in the events industry and now we are venturing into production and entertainment. We want to set trends, a different kind of creativity, to show support to up and coming and already established artists. I'm excited with this new venture, and this is our jumping point, our first concert STILL LANI."

Chris Mananquil the producer adds "I am lead creative for this show and this is a very important activity, we are excited for the new combination, but we hope to give something new for the fans of Ms. Lani Misalucha. We have Toma Cayabyab to be our Musical Director, something new, an inter generational combination. We may play hits, but most of it is something new. We don't want to spoil things, thank you!"

Ms. Lani says "I really like life in the US because it's simple, but a little hard. We are empty nesters, they have their own life and family. I still do shows in America but not like when I had a residency in Las Vegas. I just choose the kind of shows that I want to do. Between shows, I do laundry, clean my home, work never stops. You can't call people to fix because it's expensive, my husband is a handyman which I am so lucky about. I eat a lot, I am the backbone of his operations. I know all the tools, that's aside from playing with my grandchildren. In the Philippines we don't have help, we do the same."

She adds "When we got sick in 2020, we had bacterial meningitis. The effect was deafness, you get dizzy, vision was blurry, a ton of things. It was a really difficult time for me, especially when I'm hard of hearing. I got depressed, I didn't want to move. I also didn't want to socialize, it was painful because I could only hear if they are high pitched. It got better around to decipher voice but the hearing really didn't go back. It affected my singing because I struggled in 2021 and I had to train myself again like a child. My kids are not kids anymore, I have 6 grandkids now. They are doing good, thankfully. About the concert, it will be beautiful, but one surprise is I have a special guest, you will know by June or July because it's too early. I now have international released songs, but this time I'd be able to sing them in the concert. I admire singers who sing my song, they have to be creative to do it again and compose songs, they're really great. Having a hit song is power, people will remember you for the rest of their lives."

Here's the full media conference on video:

Again, STILL, LANI will be at the Theatre at Solaire. Make sure you get tickets to the show before August 21st. She is world class and she is STILL LANI. The one and only Asia's Nightingale. There's no comparison!

Celebrate Mothers Day with NOVA VILLA, CES QUESADA, FYANG and JM: "PICNIC" A Tagalized Korean Film Released by Nathan Studios

While the rest of the world is happening, there's this Korean film called PICNIC that's taking the theaters by storm. This is a film directed by Kim Yong-gyun and will be showing today (May 7th) in theaters nationwide.

We were at Gateway Mall last night to cover the premiere night, and the lobbies were filled with JMFyang fans and movie goers who were screaming on top of their lungs when they saw stars on the red carpet. We were able to record the media conference before the screening, so please enjoy!

The film is certainly a tear jerker. It revolves around the characters Eun-Sim played by Na Moon-hee (voice dubbed by Ms. Ces Quesada) and Jun Geum-soon played by Kim Young-ok (voice dubbed by Ms. Nova Villa) and their friend Tae-Ho played by Park Geun-hyung (voice by Kuya Bodjie Pascua). The younger version of Eun-Sim and Tae-Ho was dubbed by Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra.

They are a rowdy bunch despite the number of octogenarians included in the cast, and there's certainly no shortchanging of "landi" if you could say that out loud. Super happy about scenes where they were able to throw shade at each other. It didn't matter if their backs would hurt at each turn, they will tell you a spade is a spade even if it hurts your feelings, even if it means bringing back the past. The conversations were so amusing that when you're about to cry, they'll insert humor in between so you would giggle about the situation. I think this was clearly done that way to make sure it wouldn't be heavy and cerebral.

I super love the banter between Ms. Nova Villa and Ms. Ces Quesada. It was a good decision to provide Filipino dubbing for it as it felt a lot like home. No need to rush reading subtitles to understand the story because it could easily be understood in cinema audio. Should you watch it? DEFINITELY. I bet you'll find the story more apt for the children rather than for the Grandmas or Mothers involved in it. They'll learn a lot about how to go through the intricacies of love for family. It's a gem, and if you find KDramas so good for watching in the corners of your room, go do this in the cinemas because the experience hits certainly different.

Congratulations to CEO Ria Atayde and COO Ms. Sylvia Sanchez who knew right from the start that this would be a good thing to bring in Philippine shores.
