INC and NET 25 Holds CARE FOR HUMANITY (Lingap Sa Mamamayan) Activity Worldwide

PEBA (Philippine Entertainment Bloggers Association) was invited by NET25 to a celebration of INC's Eduardo Manalo's birthday through an activity called CARE FOR HUMANITY (Lingap Sa Mamamayan). The executive minister remembered the media practitioners and felt the industry also needed help. This goes the same with other sectors, for the differently abled, senior citizens, all of which are close to the INC. 

This is worldwide so this is simultaneously happening in other countries and continents like Africa. This can be seen on their channel and social accounts so if you want to delve more into it. You can watch bits of it on the channel NET 25.

They also have organizations that hire employees from the PWD sector. Look at the gorgeous spread they did during the event.

NET 25's Creative Consultant Ms. Wilma Galvante says "I experienced Lingap last year in Quezon City, and I would never forget the experience of doing that. This year, they're taking it internationally and I am so honored to be part of it on the birthday of Ka Eduardo Manalo."

They are taking Lingap sa Mamamayan to other countries via their INC network. Brothers and Sisters of the INC will take up what they have and share it to various communities around the world. What a way to celebrate a leader's birthday! This should inspire more people to do the same.

Trinoma's Zombie Outbreak Diner and PAWS Pet Cafe

Heads up kids and not so kids anymore!

It looks like the word is out! For the whole month of October (Weekends for the Diner) Trinoma is giving you a treat! They probably know that Halloween is just around the corner and since they've been holding the Choose Your Own Food Adventure call all this month, they're letting you experience a full blown Zombie Outbreak Diner and the oh so cute PAWS Pet Cafe too!

The Zombie Outbreak Diner is located at the Garden Area right beside the fountain in the front entrance of the mall. Just go right after the guards and you'll see it there. Now this ain't your ordinary diner of course because it's going to be a whole different experience if you need to PLAY while you're having lunch or dinner. The experience of being in the story was pretty interesting because this is a case of WHODUNNIT (A Crime Solving Game) and you might also get the chance to win prizes! Here's what happened during the launch!

Aside from this awesome dining experience, they've also got those cute little dogs and cats from Philippine Animal Welfare Society that put up their own kiosk at the third floor of the same mall. You basically just order coffee, get cat food or dog treats, then get to have tea or coffee with your friends and these lovely little furballs! Oh I just want to take them all home!

Anyway here's a short trip we did during the Dog day. There are cats too but it's scheduled on a different day. Both are so awesome, I want to take home adopt the white little dog :(

So come hurry and get your friends, family and yourself to Trinoma today! Aside from good things to buy, you can get these lovely dining destinations that's only available the whole month of October! Rest, Good Food and Fun at Azalea Residences in Baguio City

I think this is only my 5th time in Baguio City and I feel it's not the same when I don't stay in Azalea Residences. I've already figured out that this is my home when I'm here. The place is clean, secluded but still right in the middle of where the action is. This summer, I didn't really get to go out that much because of family matters, so when the opportunity to go here with blogger friends arrived, I pounced on it like a hungry tiger who's been on a diet for 8 years. 

I'm keen on actually relaxing this week so I could get that little rest and recreation that I've been longing for all summer. It's almost La Niña season as PAGASA predicts so I might as well do this without the torrential rains in the midst. It's still hot in Quezon City so I braved out sitting 6 hours so I could get fresh air and perhaps some good lovin in Baguio City. First off, I'd like to give kudos to the people maintaining the hotel as they've kept the place spick and span. The rooms must have been renovated, and the front desk offices must have been reconfigured because I could see a lot of new things when I went to check in. They've got Azalea Vacation Club too of which I've been told that you'll get a lifetime 50% off on room rates here and in Boracay. They also have free nights every year if you avail of it too. You may ask the people manning those tables if you're around the area. I think that needs a little research soon!

Then off we go to TRADISYON for lunch. I've been here before so I'm raring to have my fix of Filipino comfort food, and I think that's what we got!

The in house restaurant isn't that expensive too as most of the ala carte dishes are to share. We had Pork Binagoongan, a mix of Chorizo and Tripe, the lovely Pinakbet (which I loved!) plus freshly grilled stuffed squid. They clearly weren't joking about the Filipino comfort food part on their namesake. They also have buffet promos happening on weekdays and weekends so try to check their Facebook page for details on that. Then get your money's worth!

We gave ourselves a few hours of rest, then woke up to go to Cafe Yagam. The cafe is quite close to Azalea and is easily found on Google Maps. The establishment is known for their high altitude arabica coffee that's heavily demanded outside the country. If you're there for food, try the home grown Cordillera food they have on the menu. Then have the rice cakes and the famous coffee. I'm telling you, it's all worth the journey there.

I highly suggest you also ask about the rice cake with coconut cream as it is heavenly. They also have Pesto Sandwiches if you're up for something filling. You can also watch the whole community do this process of doing manual, quality assurance as they discard coffee beans that don't pass their standards. It was endearing to see them do this seriously as there are a lot of people, their families, that earn a living off of it. A visit to the place would also help the locals maintain something that would show part of their lives that could be greatly appreciated by tourists, local or otherwise. Then we prepared to shop since there's a UK night market near Burnham Park and Session Road, something I enjoyed most!

Here's a video I made of our day in Baguio. It was quite a remarkable trip to the north and I'm so glad I did it with blogger friends! I think we connected on different levels, it was lovely!

Make Your Own Havaianas 2015

When you saw this photo, did you feel a little old? Haha I know! It's the 10th year of Make Your Own Havaianas and their doing it in Hawaiian style this time at the Glorietta Activity Center. I've had a few pairs myself so if you're hoarding them at home, take them out and use them on the beach, the outdoors, or just about any place you go and take your Havaianas to.

Aside from the great music, they let us choose our own soles and match them with whatever straps we wanted for it. You can also personalize the thing by latching in lots of pins which you can put on the strap as well. 

The pin choices this year are super cool too as they followed the theme, making it extra cool with the Hawaiian vibe. I liked the aloha, the coconut, the camera, the burger, the hotdog, coffee, beach bum, road trip and fish pins personally. They also made us a complimentary hand stamped pin because we were the first people to have it.

I love Havaianas! Thank you for having us to celebrate individuality once again. My pair will be put into good use I promise and if you're looking forward to get your pair, come to the Glorietta Activity Center and make your own pair. There's 12,000 combinations to choose from, you can make your own Havaianas from May 7-10. They'll be at 17 malls anyway so I'm sure there's one near you!
