They just released the HONOR X5b and HONOR X5b Plus today in the Philippine market and it looks very promising. This is the new entry level smartphone that Honor Philippines is giving to Filipinos who want to get the same premium brand but at a fraction of the cost. This will be solely sold in the Lazada shopping app and will cost you as low as Php 3,499 (a special discount just for 4.4) to get the HONOR X5b while the HONOR X5b Plus will cost Php 4,999.

Both devices have small form factor, can take HD videos, 5MP front camera, 13MP for the X5b and 50MP for the X5b Plus. It has dual sim slots and a MediaTek Helio G36 processor and a 4GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also has a 5200mAh battery so it could last the whole day. Bang for your buck, and the phone looks amazing for its price point. Best for kids, teems and the budget conscious.

If you're looking for a phone today, Honor just released a brand new exclusive deal that's only available on Shopee. This is the Honor X9c Smart 5G. It follows their recent tough phone series but made affordable.

Crazy Lines at HONOR 200 5G's First Day Out!

 

Today is the first day of HONOR Philippines selling their best ever HONOR 200 5G and the HONOR 200 5G Pro. These two devices have been heavily awaited by the public especially since it comes with the JBL Soundgear Frames, a promo given to those who would avail of it on pre-order. It costs 9,500 pesos so it's a really BIG deal to get them this early.

We checked out their MarketMarket! stores this afternoon to see how they fare, and by the looks of it, crowds were already lining up since morning, a pretty good sign of what's about to come in the next few days for the phone brand.

The same thing happened in other stores across the Philippines, which makes sense because this HONOR 200 5G that I've been using for a couple of weeks now, actually does good portraits which is one of the selling points of this phone. Surely, the AI function of it will improve in the next few days/weeks. Imagine the capabilities of removing things from images without the need of expensive software, all done on the phone.

HONOR 200 5G Excels in Portraits, AI Functions to be Added Soon

Honor Philippines just launched their newest phones today, the HONOR 200 5G and the HONOR 200 Pro 5G.

The phone boasts of a camera that has been worked on by Paris based Harcourt Studio, who specializes in portraits. Now it's actually easier to take quality shots with this AI Portrait Master. They've been doing this since 1934, so they certainly know what they are talking about.

This partnership is backed up by real engineering, and experience of shooting actors. We did the same shoot with equally talented photographer Borgy Angeles a few weeks ago, and with a Harcourt Studio filter, you can expect dramatic results.

The new phone make portraits like the real thing. It enhances the shot with Harcourt vibrant portrait style, classic and black and white. It's something that exudes emotion on photos, pretty good feature for phones that is photo-centric. It also has AI Creation through an update soon, something to look forward to in the near future. 

It also will have AI eraser so if you are shooting in a crowd, it's gonna disappear instantly. An AI Portrait Master. Design wise, they did it in matte and glossy, so the colors shine on its back cover. It has Super Vivid Display, dynamic dimming so you don't experience screen irritation. Uses Honor Eye Comfort display technology and Snapdragon 83 Gen 3, making it more powerful than its predecessors. It also has better fps when gaming, uses Silicon Carbon batteries able to charge 50 percent in 15 minutes. This is through 66W Supercharge ability, and that's just the start.

I've used the phone quite a lot these past few weeks on our coverages and shooting celebrities, so far, I love the photo quality especially the portraits I take. It does make a lot of difference when you use an HONOR phone, the HONOR 200 5G and the HONOR 200 5G Pro might be your best bet when you plan to get a new one. Check their social channels for more information, but in my books, the portraits produce drama... something that you should consider if you often take photos of yourself or other people. Headed out east at SM Center Angono in Rizal this afternoon. Top phone brand HONOR is opening their newest experience store which soft opened last October in this side of the metro.

This is at the level 2 of SM Center Angono's Cyberzone, and consequently, the claiming of the viral HONOR X9b 5G phone for those who pre-ordered is today too. Lines have been really long because this particular model is their toughest phone to date. People have pre-ordered last week and got freebies of Honor gift packages that contain an umbrella, a portable fan, and an earphone from the same brand. That's over 4000++ pesos worth of free stuff just because they ordered from HONOR ahead of the pack!

During the store event, executives from Honor, their PR and Marketing people also joined in the festivities and gave away a brand new HONOR X9b 5G unit through games too!

HONOR Introduces 3 Affordable Phones and a Tablet

Much of the crazy talk about HONOR Philippines releasing phones this month played along the lines of it being more affordable for the market. The entry level and mid-range price range certainly feels more appealing in the country as we slowly recover from the economic effects of the pandemic. Since the recent HONOR 90 5G got sold out in the previous quarter, there's a feeling of optimism and being bullish with the brand since it's gone and given those high end features in a mid range price.

Their Senior PR Officer Denis Santos also talked about two more smartphones and the HONOR PAD X9. He mentions "The Honor Pad X9 has better vocal enhancement tech which means it has accurate sound better rated for vocals. It can be gripped easily, has snapdragon 685, so you get smoother performance. With a 7250mAh battery, you can stream 13 hours and is available in Space Gray color. It also has ample storage, can do multitasking, and can sync with Honor Connect across your different Honor devices. It also runs on Android 13, and can be installed with Google Kids so you can control what they see on the device. 120 Hz and 2K display makes sure you see crisp videos via its 11.5 inch display."

I personally used the X6a for a couple weeks now and have been able to shoot a few photos with it. Suffice to say, it's really the Indian and not the Pana. But it helps when you do get a good phone like it, you need less editing especially if used in daylight. The sharpness and colors are quite nice too, if you're looking for a phone at this price point, you get a lot with an HONOR device.

Training Head Jaynard Lamarca boasts about the X series and adds "The Honor X6a and X5 Plus can store tons of photos, audio and movies. It's got a full view display, plus a 50mp dual camera which can do quality shots. The 90Hz refresh rate and comfortable display is good for kids and young pros who need it most. The price point is also attractive, you just have to decide what would fit your lifestyle."

The price for the HONOR Pad X9 Tablet is PHP 11,990. The Honor 90 Lite can be bought for PHP 12,990. The two x series phones Honor X6a is at PHP 6,990 and the Honor X5 costs PHP 5,490.
