These are some of his personal favorite Filipino dishes and by far, fellow Filipinos and foreign guests enjoyed the meals served in this Manila-Los Angeles flight a few days ago.

Yes it's true, the long wait is over for the non stop flight to Sapporo Japan courtesy of our friends from Philippine Airlines.

This is their northernmost part of Hokkaido. They have the snow festival but they are all good the whole year. We also have the right kind of airplane the Airbus A321 Neo to do this too, there are daily flights - of which now totals to 89 weekly flights to Japan from Manila and Cebu. Philippine Airlines does up to 70% OFF Flights!

Spent an evening with PAL as they promised me that I'll love this news. I could sense it is because as soon as I took photos, the signs says it all!

Philippine Airlines Launches New Inflight Safety Video

A couple of days ago, I spent a fine evening with proud executives, their flight crew and a couple of press people to witness the launch of PAL's new inflight safety video. If you've already flown the country's flag carrier, you've probably seen the one they previously had and the company felt it was time to make a new one. The first one was adorable, but this time, they thought of going the mile to show off the country's finest destinations while they actually give you the needed information so you know what to do in case of emergency.

This time however, they're not going to use models at all. They've got regular joes like you and me to tell you the inflight video details and they've done it through a search. It took countless hours and tons of manpower to choose who would best fit each scene, but they did it.

Now if you're a foreigner, you'll love to check out the sights and sounds of the Philippines. In this 4 minute video, you'll see a couple of landmarks which are iconic ones around the country. Remember though that we have 7,100 more. This is just the tip of the iceberg, and local people also love it. In my Facebook timeline alone, I've seen about 15-20 people pronouncing how proud they are to see this. For me, I actually dig what they've done with this one.

Philippine Airlines Launches New Inflight Entertainment System

In grand ceremonies over at Greenbelt's Fashion Walk, we welcomed Philippine Airlines new Inflight Entertainment System as they converge their services like the myPAL eSuite, myPAL Player (for inflight streaming), WiFi (for inflight surfing), and myPAL mobile (inflight roaming, they connect to Smart too!). 

Jaime Bautista PAL's CEO says "This is the apt time to make you more in love with PAL and our services."

Ria Domingo PAL's VP for Marketing adds "Now we've taken our inflight entertainment service to a new level and providing new products and we've been doing this for the past months, a step forward for what we offer for all our mabuhay milers, and customers. They also had BAMBOO live on stage to take us to the experience area, a huge plane in the fountain area!

 Philippine Airlines is our nation's flag carrier and they continue to expand to more territories than any other airline based in the Philippines because their thrust is to be a 5 star airline in the next couple of years. It will happen very soon and this all starts with the services they provide their current Mabuhay Miles loyalists and their customers who have always been there flying with the first airline in Asia.

I can't wait to locally travel soon!

Philippine Airlines Forges Partnership with Holiday Inn

National flag carrier Philippine Airlines just made their bid to be the next 5 Star airline in Asia. They plan to do this in a couple of years and they made sure to expand the long list of companies that they'd be working together to be able to achieve this feat. It's not a long shot because other companies were already doing it but they made sure the heart of the Filipino would always be in the forefront, making it even more special. This time, they did it with Holiday Inn Makati.

"It is important that we celebrate this event. We have been flying Philippine Airlines and it's exciting to see how much have changed for how many years. I never had a late flight, when you are loyal about a company you could see the change. It's unusual to get the same crew, but I've had that happen twice and it was nice for them to recognize me. We are both wanting to achieve perfection, in a market where more people are traveling more. We both recognize in our company that it is something important to us, we will keep it as long as possible. Thank you so much!" says Intercontinental Group Head Christian Pirodon.

Jaime Bautista of Philippine Airlines says "The executives unanimously want service beyond expectations for our customers and the goal is to be a 5 star carrier. Our vision is to be a 4 star airline in 2017, and 5 star in 2020. There are only 10 airlines in the world that have that and much of them are in Asia. For us to be able to get that we need to make our passengers happy and this is what we'll implement. This latest collab with Holiday Inn will make our cardholders redeem world class places to stay, PAL wishes to hold this partnership for the long haul."

Mayette Casanova AVP for Loyalty Programs promises more options for members to earn more miles with more of their partners. Members can now earn miles when they wine, dine or stay in the hotel. Members can now redeem miles as well to pay for it in the hotel. 

Maricor Aquino of Holiday Inn Makati adds "We're having a promo with Philippine Airlines, with Stay Dine Fly, members can now get 50% off on weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and for every night you get 500 miles. Philippine Airlines Launches myPAL Roam

It looks like Philippine Airlines and their group of companies are pushing the envelope on this one as they launch their own global internet hotspot called myPAL Roam, a global mobile hotspot that promises to connect you in over 80 countries in cooperation with Skyroam. Skyroam in itself isn't a mobile company and doesn't use sim cards for their device to work. Their service actually connects directly to whatever local telco, of course it's better with SMART. They apparently give you the local HSPDA+ connection rates for only Php 490. That means there will be no bill shocks for people like you who often go out of the country. This device can now be rented through PAL Boutique located in the PAL Ticket Office lobby of the PNB Financial Center in Pasay City (at the back of World Trade Center), NAIA Terminal 2 Departure area or via roam.philippineairlines.com. The device may be returned to the PAL Boutique NAIA Arrival area or On Board Return Service (yes inside the plane!). 

"In partnership with Skyroam, you can ise this in over 120 countries worldwide. This is the latest addition to what PAL has been offering onboard. myPAL Roam is the latest addition to Philippine Airlines service innovations together with myPAL Player and parts of the myPAL eSuite. I've shown you their fashion show a couple of weeks ago when they launched PAL Boutique where they have Filipino products exhibiting our own talents and craftsmanship. If you might have forgotten that show, here it is! 

In a nutshell, I think this is much like what they use in Japan where people rent out the device and return it (literally throw it on a designated box). This one however can be taken elsewhere which is also convenient but it still has it's flaws (I heard data caps) but is good as an add on service.

Philippine Airlines Shows "Heart of the Filipino"

Had a wonderful time with the people from Philippine Airlines during their bloggers night at Revel - Palace in BGC. In attendance were mostly travel bloggers, some fashion bloggers, lifestyle bloggers and influencers from different parts of the Philippines and it was nice to see everyone in one place. The occasion was hosted by Robi Domingo and one of PAL's executives. We were there to witness some really good new advertisements that they're coming out with this year geared towards Filipinos, OFW's, those who are living abroad and foreigners too. This time, they're concentrating on continuing the legacy of Philippine Airlines as the country's official flag carrier and state the reasons why they are who they are.

The actual advertisements they launched included world class Filipino singers Sarah Geronimo, Ms. Lea Salonga and rockstar Bamboo. Little did we know Philippine Airlines had a trick up their sleeves as Bamboo performed on stage right after the reveal. Here's part of that performance that the bloggers and online media enjoyed!

Watch out for more of these efforts from Philippine Airlines to appear not only in different newspapers, international news agencies, large billboards in different countries showcasing different tourist spots and the important message their bringing this 2016 that there's no greater thing that would impress visitors in the country, than the Filipino Heart.
