Shining Bright: CHARO CORDIAL and MADDOX JEWELRY

Saturday, November 08, 2025

Took a trip way east to Marikina City to visit the physical showroom of Maddox Jewelry. We got to talk to Madame Charo Cordial, the viral online seller, entrepreneur and businesswoman who made her small venture into a gold and diamond empire that it is today.

She had very humble beginnings. Brought up in a small town where farming was the premier industry, her parents had her take up Agricultural Engineering in college. During the pandemic, she just had the the opportunity to delve into jewelry (among her other passions), and that's where Maddox Jewelry started. When we met her, her demeanor was very warm and welcoming. With her fascination for all things gold, she got so busy these past few years garnering not only a huge clientele but celebrities, some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. The difference between her and the other online sellers is that she's got a physical showroom in Marikina (AZDM Building) where she conducts appointments for those who want to see the jewelry before they purchase it.

Here's what we saw there!

We asked her about making investments on jewelry and what is the best time to do it and she said "There's really no BEST time to do it but NOW. As you may know, gold value is increasing over the years and if you don't get it early, you won't see the value grow. I've seen several of my clients who purchased gold and diamond pieces in the past and in a few years, the value is now 5 times of what it was then."

She adds "Jewelry is not only for women, but men too. We have several pieces that are unisex especially the classic designed ones that can be worn by men or women. Aside from that, we have celebrities like Mark Herras who got earrings with diamonds in it. (Tried to find it on display but they said it's all sold out!) We have them in different colors. We have blue diamonds, green diamonds, something that would fit your personality. We'd gladly accommodate you here as we have people who could assist you to choose the right sparkle you need for your jewelry."

Here's a bit of our talk with her that evening:

As you may have heard, her clients are mostly other jewelry sellers that source most of their wares from her. She also wished for a few A list celebrities to collaborate with her since she also does content on TikTok and Facebook.

Her Facebook page is her only selling platform, and streams are regularly done live and deleted right after because most of the sales are done only during livestreams. If you're interested, go follow their page and watch out for schedules, it's mostly from 6pm to 12am and they're quite keen on helping entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. If you've been wanting to start your own collection, they have people to help you at their Marikina office.

Their showroom is pretty full most of the time, it might be wise to ask for appointments through their contact numbers there. I'm off to buy a few very soon. Remember as she says, the time to invest in jewelry is now!

Super nice and very humble, she's shining bright indeed. Thank you and congratulations Ms. Charo! Here's wishing you could help more people and continued success in the business!

Investing During the Pandemic

Thursday, March 18, 2021

Times are hard and it's been a year since we were all locked down in our homes due to the rising case of COVID-19. The rising cases this year is scary and I hope you've managed to still save a buck or two, or maybe thinking really hard where to invest your extra money during these times. Let me suggest a few!

Invest in Healthcare. If you haven't had one, make sure you do as the rising cost of hospitalization doesn't just cripple you, but the economic standing of your family. There are plans, ones that are affordable and if you do invest in one, make sure you get recommendations from family and friends that have benefited from it. There are tons out there, but choosing one that has proven easy to deal with especially on emergency cases would be better in the long run, so choose wisely.

Start a Home Business. Tons of entrepreneurs have already started cooking, making things, doing services from their own homes. If you're a good cook, maybe start by sharing what you cook first to friends and family, because chances are, when you sell them later on, they will be your first customers. Aside from that, it's easy to have deliveries done these days, so no need to go out that much even if you start your business in your own turf.

Invest in a laptop or PC. If you're running a business, you would need things like these to start taking orders and getting organized. Aside from that, you can play games, stream them, or perhaps make marketing materials that you would need for your business. A handy laptop that you can take anywhere or a more powerful PC that you can make as your station when you need to do your business at home. Choose something that you can utilize in the future, it's a hefty amount you are spending for it so make sure it will last for years.

Invest in Jewelry. Things that you can buy these days are gold and diamonds, or just any precious stones that have worth when you pawn it. Good people like Cebuana Lhullier even have been selling it. If it went through their strict appraisal process and saw it on sale, it would be nice to get them from an entity that has been doing it for 30 years. Best of all, they're accessible as they have over 2,500 branches nationwide! You can also check their services or what they sell online via  https://www.cebuanalhuillierjewelry.com or https://www.cebuanalhuillierjewelrypremium.com/ because they too want things to be convenient.

I'm sure you do too.

Charo Santos and My Diamond

Tuesday, July 25, 2017

A dazzling affair with great company happened at the Manila House Private Club as jewelry brand My Diamond announced their newest endorser Ms. Charo Santos. JP Paglinawan their Marketing Manager says "My Diamond has been a success because of people who want the finest, affordable and authentic jewelry in the Philippines. Whether it's your first one or something you would use for weddings, it has been part of the Filipino way of showing affection, make them feel special and that's exactly what we want to convey in every piece of My Diamond jewelry. This is also why we chose an apt ambassador to showcase it's timeless appeal. She's brilliant and successful, she's Ms. Charo Santos. Expensive is relative, it doesn't cost as much as your mobile phones but if you are giving it to someone special how can you keep a price tag on that right?"

Ms. Charo says "A pair of fabulous earrings, rings or necklace is something empowering. Women should be kind to one's self, to make yourself feel good sometimes; and owning one is a good thing. It exhudes elegance and I remember buying one for my Mom a few years ago. We should shine at every stage. We can also make it an heirloom, pass it down to my daughter, in laws or someone special."

She also shared "Take a break, no matter how busy you are you must use simpe lines, look at the context of the event you are going to. Diamond Studs would be fine the whole day. My advice, believe in yourself, work hard and pursue your dreams. Owning jewelry is not just a luxury, it's an investment. I also wish men would love diamonds more, to appreciate it's value because it looks good on them too."

Ms. Charo will be endorsing the brand as a whole with Liza Soberano. If you would like to know more, visit https://m.facebook.com/MyDiamondPH/ and their branches nationwide!
