Luigi Revilla for TRES

Tuesday, September 18, 2018

This is my first time to meet Luigi Revilla, the brother of Jolo and Bryan. He's the son of Senator Bong Revilla and Lovely Guzman. Albeit coming from different moms, he was never treated as such and so when TRES was pitched for production they knew it had to include this guy. According to him, if his Dad says he's got to do this film, he will do it. It was so nice to see him in good spirits.

Luigi says "I am doing a part of the movie called "AMATS", thank you for being here. I was studying so I wasn't around that much in showbusiness so I concentrated in my studies. I finished entrepreneurship in Enderun College. Right now I am learning the ropes of a few businesses I do with my wife. In AMATS, it has double meaning. It either has to do with dru9s or women. He's an addict, Assunta's character got him into the circuit. She's like a cougar, and I also am battling it out with Ronwaldo Martin's character here. My love interest here is Myrtle Sarroza, he fell in love and tried to get back on track. We feel these stories are apt for the third installment of TRES, and our directors have different styles but we all get along especially while we were doing this episode. What I want to tell you is that we all have something to give, I wouldn't say being a blackbelter would be an advantage, it's more of a strength and I hope people would love it."

He adds "AMATS is different, 72 hours is Bing Revilla esque, my brother Bryan is dark and his acting comes out. AMATS is more millennial, not much explosions but fast paced moves utilizing my skills. I always go to him and talk about the scenes, I like his style because we get to be inspired by music we also use to motivate actors on the scenes. I had a scene here with Markki Stroem and he lost his tooth when I kicked him in the face, props to him he was so professional and it was accidental. It was one big fight scene and that happened, unfortunately."

On his brothers he says "We first saw each other during the wake of my grandma, I think it was God's plan that we meet in Boracay and every Sunday since we get together, I am so blessed that even Tita Lani accepted me from day 1. She never made me feel out of place, I love Tita Lani and I am blessed they accepted me in the family and now we are so close. My wife and Tita Lani are also very close, I am so happy that happened."

Luigi is a young Dad, he wanted to have a son early. He wanted to be a family oriented guy so he could spend time with family, he wanted to become like his Dad and the type of person he is. With this movie, he hopes to get that it opens up doors of opportunities for him and his brothers so they could make more films and help people behind the scenes too. He prays that his Dad continues to be strong, he doesn't want him to be free so he could be with all of them and make up for the years that he hasn't been able to be there because of circumstances. He's thankful for the opportunity to work with his brothers and until now he feels he is dreaming.

I hope the industry accepts them with open arms so they could enjoy something they love to do, acting. They would gladly do the legwork, his Dad is very hands on from the people who are doing this film and he wants to one day work with his Dad, hopefully soon.

Good luck Luigi!

Bryan Revilla is Back as VIRGO in TRES

Tuesday, September 11, 2018

Met the good looking but so warm Bryan Revilla. I know ladies would definitely love this guy, so masculine, and very charming. For those who don’t know, he’s back in the film TRES which is a trilogy of sorts with Jolo doing 72 Hours, Luigi doing Amats and Bryan doing Virgo which is sort of a full length in the same film, like inception no?

He goes about saying that he dedicates this movie to his Dad and his Grandpa, Bryan says “Virgo is not my Zodiac sign but it is the name of the character Virgilio Bautista. I had to finish school and finish my degree, Consular and Diplomatic Affairs. I also am very active in church, with Alpha force so in a way I share my experiences, what God can do. Right now I am single. This story is about a PDEA undercover agent. His father was a previous druggie who got his whole family slaughtered: Joey Marquez plays my adoptive Dad and I have Carla Humphries as my partner. Kiko Matos, Dong Abay and Basti Artadi will be my arch nemesis. I have known Richard Somes for a while now, we never had the chance to work together so when this happened, we spoke about it, I said perfect I know the guy. Now this is what we’ve done in Virgo. I work for my family, I do property management, I also will do more things on production more.

He adds “My family is my number one critic. My Mom or Dad, I show them things, ever since I was a kid. They push us so we’re good at what we do. There are a lot of challenging scenes here, the action ones are pretty much the hardest because we have around 2000 bullets to shoot, it was deafening. I also lost about 50 pounds so just imagine how much I had to lose from being obese. It takes a lot of discipline. Right now I may be alone but definitely not lonely, let’s leave it at that.

When I started this all I was doing it for Dad but now I am enjoying what I am doing now much like before. Either way I want to also work on the production side, so far this is the dream right now. Doing this now is truly an honor.

Here's part of the presscon on video:

Seeing Bryan excited about this and having seen the trailer, I could see how he’s hungry about acting, about being on screen again. It was honestly brusco, it was very masculine and I love how it didn’t look cheap, I guess it’s time to watch worthy action movies now, and this by most standards is good. It’ll be on theaters this coming October 3, and these guys look so good in person, very warm and friendly too.

Congratulations to IMUS Productions and Star Cinema who will be distributing this too.

Jolo Revilla for TRES

Tuesday, September 04, 2018

Just got off the the press conference of TRES, a trilogy of film episodes starring the three Revillas Jolo, Bryan and Luigi. We had time to talk to Vice Governor Jolo Revilla and he was very game to answer questions for the upcoming film. His part is called 72 hours, which will more or less show what will happen in scenes, in that amount of time.

Jolo says “I always see you in presscons, I am so happy for your support and trust after all these years. My episode is called 72 hours, I am here with other stars like Albert Martinez, Rhian Ramos, Dominic Roque, Ronwaldo Martin, Benj Manalo, Raikko Mateo and Precious Lara Quigaman. I am so blessed to have been able to come back through Probinsyano, a chance that I didn’t want to miss. I lost almost 60 pounds, my Dad suggested to me that we should make our own film through IMUS Films. He knows we had to help a lot of industry people, the stunt men, people who work behind the camera. Rhian here is a police officer while I play a PDEA agent. My last appearance was in My Binondo Girl, guestings in a few MMFF movies. Dondon Santos and I have worked in Pepeng Agimat and we enjoyed working together, this is three different stories in one movie. Lovi and I are good friends, I also worked easily with Rhian, my Mom also worked here as my Mom so everyone is working together. This film is my Dad’s idea and we made it for him and the Filipino people. As a son we love him very much, he gave his all, his name too.

His advice to us (his dad Bong), is be humble and not to forget those who have helped us. My heart is fine. I am very involved in production, we have discussions about it and do get conflicted in some decisions. My brothers and I are different, I think we have done remarkable in these three instalments, it was all my Dad’s idea. So now we have equal exposure, different perspectives. From an agent, the victims, the police and the drug addicts. Bryan will be with Carla Humphries and Luigi will be paired with Myrtle Sarroza.

Jolo adds “All I can say is that I have the highest respects for Jodi, I treasure each and every moment we spent together. I miss showbusiness, memorizing scripts, it goes to say I can let out my feelings. I miss acting and I am thankful I get to work with the crew, I miss this all. As for the budget, I guess I have balanced it well. We are here for my Mom, so we take care of our family, our people in Cavite, if you see us weak my Dad would be sad, so this is the reason you see us all strong. I wish for my Dad’s freedom of course.

My Lolo is an icon, my Dad too, so doing this is of course so much pressure for me. This is something we have worked on for years. My brother Luigi has done programs in the past, but this is his first time to do a film. He’s very promising. We did this all with very lengthy pre production and divided the work between ourselves. Each episode maybe took 13 shooting days, but this was all prepared last year. The scenes here are very risky, we got wounds, bruises, some accidents. We used real cars, sets, as I’m not into graphics that much. It also looks more realistic, I am happy we’re doing action films once again. We need this push to bring back the genre we all used to love. In the eve of Buybust, the one with Erich, Coco and other films which recently have acclaim, we’re doing this.

This film will be distributed by Star Cinema + Cine Screen and will be shown on October 3, 2018. This is again produced by IMUS Productions. I'll tell you more about it when the screening happens a few weeks from now.

Chill!
