SING GALING: Sing-lebrity Edition Starts This September 27

Looks like your weekend watching will be severely interesting as TV5 amps up one of their hottest fun shows SING GALING as it enters another installment of SING GALING: Sing-lebrity Edition to find the Ultimate Bida-oke Sing-lebrity. 

 

Hosted by gorgeous Donita Nose, funny vixen comedienne K Brosas and literally *shadey* Randy Santiago this coming September 27 onwards. This is for the benefit of their individual "Bidaficiaries" and will be judged by Rey Valera, Ariel River, Nina, Ella May Saison, Mitoy Yonting and Ethel Booba.

And if that's not enough, they'll be fielding in over 48 celebrities in the show coming from different genres and industries. They have the opportunity to choose their charities and help if they get to be the Ultimate Bida-Oke Singlebrity. This includes Almira Teng, Andrew Muhlach, Anton Diva, Arman Salon, Bobby Andrews, Carmi Martin, CJ Navato, CJ Opiaza, CJ Ramos, Chad Kinis, Cedrick Juan, Dawn Chang, Divine Tetay, Dominic Ochoa, Gio Alvarez, Gus Abelgas, Jay Gonzaga, Jay Manalo, Jeff Tam, Johannes Rissler, Keanna Reeves, Krissha Viaje, Kych Minemoto, Laila Chikadora, Leandro Baldemor, Lloyd Samartino, Luis Alandy, Madam Kilay, Mark Ian Garcia, Maoui David, Maui Taylor, Meryll Soriano, Nathalie Hart, Nikki Valdez, Noel Comia, Patricia Javier, Rey “PJ” Abellana, Rikki Mae Davao, Romnick Sarmenta, Rufa Mae Quinto, Ryle Santiago, Sexbomb Mia Pangyarihan, Sexbomb Monic Icban, Troy Montero, Valerie Concepcion, Via Antonio and Yobab. As you can see there are TV, film and theater actors, singers, and internet celebrities who will surely do their best to get that crown.

 

Let's not forget your Singtokers (Gab, Queenay, Ari G, Yanyan, Muse Jazz, Niko and Zendee) who will also do hosting duties, online so you get to know the contestants through behind the scene segments for the duration of the show. Again, this shows 7PM on Saturdays and 8PM on Sundays and will be shown on TV5, Sari Sari Channel, Buko Channel, and TV5 social accounts where available.

This will certainly be an exciting year for you, those who love these celebrities, and their chosen charities. So who's your bet?

Rockin, Dining & Rollin at Red Box!

Dragging along a couple of people from my office is hard. We're serious business minded people and we barely go out. It's like the norm for around 5 years because we have different priorities. It was a great thing though that I got hooked up by no less than Ms. Cecille Van Straten of Chuvaness.com and I'd like to thank her for this bit (Thanks Ms. C! :) ).

After getting the reservations to Red Box fixed, we walked to the Eastwood Branch which is a stones throw away from our office. It's inside the Eastwood Mall, top floor right beside the Cinemas. It was my second time to be there but I didn't really get to go around that much the first time because I had to cover an event. They assigned a cozy room for us which is near the entrance. It was quite neat because I didn't even know it was going to be that BIG!

I didn't know it was going to be that huge, we were only five people because the others backed out. Of course they envied us so much afterwards that they wanted me to book the place again. For starters they've got a couple of dishes prepared for buffet. We dug in and got a taste of what they offered, just take a look at my full plate!

Cream Dory with Lemon-Butter Sauce, Bok Choi, Pork Slivers in Hoisin Sauce, Pork strips in Tomato Sauce... doesn't that make your mouth water?!

We never got dead air while we were there because we never ran out of things to do. It wasn't just Vidoeke that we had on the room, there's a full grown pool table too!

It was the perfect way to welcome our new Mexican office mate to break the ice. As you can see we had lots of fun singing our hearts out on state of the art audio equipment. Everything was easy and accessible. It was all computerized and we didn't really need to look at huge volumes of books to look for a song. Their system even displays the top hits and they never run out of new songs too! If you are not in the mood to sing, they've got concerts and MTV style videos you can play to your hearts desire!

Service was impeccable. Their crew always checked on us if we needed anything. You can easily call them too on the phone if you need something else done on your party area. This guy below always made sure we had something in our hands to drink and they've got a wide variety of drinks to choose from!

It was soft drinks for the girls and a couple of bottle of beers for the guys! Nope we didn't get drunk this time but if we ordered more that would be a BIG possibility LOL!

So the next time you and your friends decide to have fun right in the heart of the city, try to get a reservation at Red Box and you'll surely gonna have a grand time!

Sing Your Way to Ireland!

I must admit; I haven't been religiously practicing my vocal chords lately but yeah I've done quite a number of drinking sessions and karaoke nights in my lifetime. Music has been part of the Filipino culture and true enough we've had tons of champions in the past!

With that in mind, why haven't we joined the Karaoke World Championships? Yes, there is a competition with that name and I'm sure they are just as threatened now that KWC Philippines Inc. has got the license to get the Philippines represented this year! They are now holding auditions looking for that Male and Female Champion that will go to Killarney, Ireland later this September. There will be no professional singers allowed! So your chance is as good as mine!

How do you join the KWC Trials?

To join the Philippine Trials for the 2011 KWC to be held from September 8 to 10 in Killarney, Ireland, you must purchase WOW Concerto, WOW Mabuhay, WOW Fiesta, WOW Music Video Pack, or a WOW Song Video Pack within the period of May 1 to June 30, 2011.

Only buyers of WOW Videoke products during the promo period or their nominees (call them so they can find you a donor too!) are eligible to join the KWC Philippine Trials.

The daily trials for Philippine contestants will be held from May 30 to July 9, 2011, from Monday to Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM. The KWC Daily Trials venue at 1081 EDSA, Balintawak, Quezon City (formerly AMWAY Building). I went there with some blogger friends too last Saturday and yes we did try to join the competition. Unfortunately because of my good looks and awesome voice I got to stand as a judge instead LOL!

Hosting the event was Jayson and Ana of Karaoke World Championship Philippines!

Three things to accomplish is to join the KWC and get that coveted crown, get local contestants for the Male and Female Category and host the next one in the Philippines!

The bloggers showed how it's done and tried to sing out their competition! As you can see they really tried!!! LOL

Winning the contest for the bloggers was Kenneth Ignacio, congratulations! =)

Yes the CEO and KWC also gave away prizes to the bloggers who joined the contest!
Of course you need to practice more at home then audition in the Daily Trials to get to Ireland! ^_^
