16th International Hot Air Balloon Festival

This is the first time I attended the Hot Air Balloon Festival and boy was it so far! I've been to Pampanga quite a number of times since I had an EX girlfriend sometime 2008-2009 (I think! Haha!) but this was another thing to attend to since I went along with my photographer friends from the C4. I was excited to say the least because this is kind of the first time I'm gonna see a balloon which is not the usual one you see when going out of the church. It can lift quite a few number of people and the premise was they are going to do that for the 150 dollars you have to pay them. We on the other hand just settled for the 150 peso entrance fee but we had to wake up and travel early (like 1AM in the morning) so we can get there around 4am. It was a long wait and still dark when we arrived on which I spent quite a few energy bars doing long exposures. It was not that nice looking at it now because the lights were too far obviously. I got a prime spot on front and we waited for a few hours just to see these giants in action. I love the big ones and the time they started their flames... it was nice to see in the dark.




They started to fill the balloons with hot air and all the flames were in double time. They needed to fly as soon as possible so they won't be having problems with the wind around 7-8AM. It was nice and very colorful. There were a lot of odd shapes and sizes. Some of them were just for show (like the one for Smart!) but the rest of them tried to fly. Only 2 had problems with it and the others went on a journey to Pangasinan (that is the finish line if I'm not mistaken). This was not bad for a first timer, I know some of my shots were awful but please spare me the drama... I'm a fashion photographer anyway! Hahahahah!











Now how's that? Heheh!

But I'm not that keen on going back to next year's celebration. The travel, the traffic and the people handling the event didn't prepare that much so it was a pain to do. I hurriedly went back to Manila because of work and because this trip was so tiring! I won't come back next year unfortunately! Enjoy the photos! =) Hope you like em!

Working Too Hard in the Office?!

 


If you are working too hard in the office and you concentrate so much with work, this might actually happen to you. Poor woman dies in the office last Friday and nobody noticed until Saturday.

Rebecca Wells was 51 when she passed away and people only knew her as the one who was always working. One woman even said that she might not have been noticed by anybody in the office even as everyone left. She was performing audit jobs for a risk management company. So if you know someone in your office works too hard, you might as well take a look at them more often because they might already be dead.

Sad huh?!

Building a New Website!

My photography career seem to have climbed up a notch after getting breaks here and there after my stint/workshop from a famous fashion photographer based in New York. I wouldn't say otherwise because I know I have been blessed. Gigs have been surfacing here and there for me and I'm getting really busy even on a weekend - which is normally a non working day for me. I want to put up media that would be able to show off my portfolio but I probably would be better off and just build a business website with my name as domain. Making one with institutions like Market Juice would make everything easy and if it materializes it would be easy to maintain everything. I don't need to add something to my currently "busy" life that would cause me to worry more. I'm gunning for something very low maintenance and easy to fix if I need to update it. I also need something that would be at par as far as design is concerned since I am in an industry where first impression matters.



This is my niche and I have been working on this craft for a few years now. I've obviously gained experience and a lot of other things that I need to have in order to be successful in this business. I hope with each step I take from here on it would be to advance my hobby turned career which is definitely not in the comfort zone. I will succeed if I make the right choices early on and building an impressive; professional looking web site would be one of them! Wish me luck!

New 9th Planet: TYCHE

Nope! You are not reading something out of the book. We were all part of the crowd who said WHOA! when space agencies said that Pluto was not part of our Solar System. We now had only 8 planets and so far it has not been that pretty in the skies these days. There are also times we get depressed in one way or another because who's going to represent the underworld without Pluto right? Well don't despair! Because scientists are currently searching evidence about a very weird one right in our Solar System. Yes we are probably going to have a confirmed 9th planet before the year ends, and it will be called TYCHE (Ty-kee) I know you guys are going to be as excited as I am but we have to wait til NASA and other Space agencies would be able to take a look at it!

The one who discovered this new planet are actually two astrophysicists named Daniel Whitmire and John Matese from (Kamuning joke! hehe) the University of Louisiana at Lafayette which might not have been doing that much down south. They are pretty old already but said that if this discovery becomes official they promise to do cartwheels. It will be all up to the International Astronomical Union though, maybe they can trick them first to do the cartwheels before they announce if its real or not. The planet by the way is very far and a lot like Jupiter in structure and form. Mostly gas and trying to cool down but it is taking a long time to do that so the release of those hydrogen and helium is making the planet look big. It is almost boiling point there so you get the idea how hot it is. The heat they say came from its formation (so you have to study your Big Bang theory to understand that).

The only thing we can do for now is watch that sky and enjoy the night while they confirm if this is orbiting on our Sun making this the real 9th planet! By that time teachers can put up the old posters of the solar system and just erase the name of Pluto and make it Tyche hehehe!

La vie n'a pas été facile sur ce côté du monde. Le taux de crime a été à un record de tous les temps et le gouvernement n'a pas un programme solide pour l'éliminer. Vous craignez constamment pour les vies de votre une aimée et la sécurité de vos affaires. Il y a quelques mois, il y avait un incident où huit touristes étaient dans une situation d'otage. Nous n'avons pas questionné l'héroïsme des hommes de police mais le manque d'entraînement a été évidemment vu. Je ne voudrais pas attendre jusqu'à ce que quelqu'un je sais ou près de moi être dans la même situation difficile. Je sais qu'il est dur à être victime d'individus sans scruples s'occupant si de votre vie et de la famille est d'inquiétude extrême. Si je vous étais j'installerais l'équipement video surveillance dans ma maison et aussi mon emplacement d'affaires. Il m'épargnerait beaucoup de mal de tête qui court environ sur qui blâmer quand je deviens la victime. Je n'espère pas... mais vous ne pouvez jamais dire vraiment.

Les vies de ceux que je suis très attaché à toujours serait ma priorité. La technologie est déjà disponible et la seule chose que je dois faire est le harnais il. Il pourrait me coûter quelques francs francs mais la sensation d'obtenir ma famille et mes amis la sécurité que nous méritons cela tous l'emporte sur.

Reminiscing with Videos

Here I go reminiscing again on some of the songs of the 90's and believe me I've been there and done that literally. I don't want to go onto details but I'm sharing with you some of my favorites. Gwen Stefani has always been my ideal girl but nobody knew what happened to her. They apparently are not making music anymore and nothing seems to be surfacing on the hit charts these days that you might want to ask WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?! Yeap, I know, between that and the number one singles they sent out a couple of years ago I couldn't imagine why they would suddenly go out of the business that fast.



Danity Kane is one of the best girl groups that went out in the late 2000's but of course if P Diddy was managing you, you don't know where you'll be after a few years. I heard they disbanded because of obvious reasons, they didn't sustain the hits and the whole genre of music they tried to do. They are also overshadowed by the biggest one Pussycat Dolls. Well my vote still goes to these girls, see how they can sing and dance? That's exactly my point. The PCD can only sing on some parts but with Danity Kane they can all do that in their songs. This is one of the groups that I'll surely miss.



This new one from Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's Daughter named Willow is surely going to impress you. I really thought she sounded and looked like Rihanna. The deal is she is only 12 years old. Yeah she is that young... but I'm not really thinking that it'll be impossible since her parents are also soooo talented.

Looking For Deals: Cars

I seldom go to malls or shops these days because of my busy schedule. To tell you honestly I don't even know how I survived this month without getting any hitches because of Philippine Fashion Week. I even went there without my van because as soon as the week started it totally went out on me crippling me from easily getting in and out of the venue. I said "This is not going to happen again... I probably need to get a new one" and so I did. Finding vans specifically within my area is a little hard because classified ads from newspapers don't work like what they used to. It usually shows a whole lot of cars in a "nationwide scale" and you need to check them out one by one to see if there is one in your area. If you are lucky you won't even find one too LOL. I'm not looking for brand new ones and second hand cars would be okay. I have a specific model in mind but I need to weigh out things first if I could get a better deal than that so I'm definitely open for something else. I checked out one great institution AYOSDITO.PH and got the leads I need showing everything within my area! What a time saver!

The ISUZU CROSSWIND I looked at was automatic, less than a hundred thousand kilometers and within the half a million budget I had. I think I'd go ahead and contact the seller. I found his contact details there too. I also have the option of trading in my old trusty Space Gear so I can get a discount off of it. I need to get that fixed too. Their online classifieds are very easy to look at and breeze through. They got what I need and let me know if it's within my area so I can check out the merchandise before I purchase it. I might not know how to buy a car but with the normal precautions they indicate at the site it's all going to be good.

Now isn't that nice to know?! =)

Valentines Day: So What! LOL!

A lot of people don't care weather its Valentines Day or not, one of them is ME. Of course there will be a lot of people raising their eyebrows... probably most will say I'm bitter, or maybe tell themselves that I'm like this because I'm not happily married. Well, for you guys, let me say this one thing.... I DON'T GIVE A DAMN!

Hahaha... first of all, the reason I'm single is NOT YOUR BUSINESS. Second is that if you think you are HAPPY because you are with someone, think again... not everyone who's married is truly HAPPY. Go to the corner and chant spells to make yourself believe your own lie. Don't even tell me about your kids, I can have that in my spare time. I hate you people for thinking that you are all that just because you have a family. I can go out every week and get women as much as I did years ago, actually I even got better now. I get laid when I want to. While you on the other hand only have one at home... not that I'm saying... but just sayin LOL!


I can still go out to clubs, drink or smoke in posh places and go to every single one of them anytime I want to. You on the other hand probably just call your friends and sit outside your house and drink like #sunogbaga's telling yourself that you are happy doing that. That's right, keep telling that to yourself. Hahahahah!

Someone just asked me out for a date, I told her "Huh?! Why should I go out today don't you think its cheesy?!" She said "Because its Valentines Day and I don't have a date!".. I answered "So what am I a pity date?! Do I look that desperate to you?!", she said "Because you don't have one too and I figured we go out like old times.." I said "Hunny I'm not that historical to be part of your "OLD TIMES" I'd rather not go out to be part of your culture. She said "sungit mo naman!" hahahah and I told her, no, I'm not a snob, I just hate going out just because it's this day or whatnot... I'd rather go out for the right reasons. If I wanted to go out I'll do that on weekends and I'm not going there to see someone I'll marry. Bars were made for hookups, if you find a diamond in the rough that's another story.

She said "You know what, you should get married soon... I'd like to see you married off rather than growing old not having someone to take care of you"... I said "Hunny, if I only married so someone could love and take care of me, I'd hire a caregiver or get a personal doctor... Sharon Cuneta could do that."

This Valentines Day sucks, it's full of people who want to pretend that they are happy. I wouldn't wanna break it to you guys but you have been hooked by people who want to sell flowers, food and stuff that make you fat. Commercialism at its finest! You'll die early and spend a fortune on all that crap and hospital bills. If you want to show someone you love em it wouldn't cost that much. Be happy if you are married; but don't go telling someone else that they are not happy because they are still single. I can do that tomorrow if I wanted to! =P don't make us look bad just so you can feel so superior because you have extra baggage.

For those who I heard were talking behind my back; eat my shorts! Always remember that envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own so in a way you are an ungrateful basta*d! LOL!

Getting Our House Fixed

When I arrived from work this morning I had to go and change clothes so I can rush to the gym. It's what I do on a normal day but when I picked up my shirt I heard something crack. My foot suddenly slid in one of the floor boards. Yeah I know this house is pretty old and we might need to renovate the second floor but I almost fell in this time. With the funds that I have right now it might be possible but the logistics of living somewhere else while doing that is giving me nightmares. That and I need a reliable Floor company that would be able to provide me with the design and structure that I need. I still want hardwood floors and the warmth it gives. It would be nothing fancy; just something that would look good on my space and give me the non slippery/rustic feel I have previously. Maybe I'll purchase more pieces to match it but as for now I'll settle for the old things I have since they are pretty expensive.

I don't want to fall in on it again so I'll try and look for ways to fix that temporarily then purchase hardwood floors once renovation starts. It was funny this morning but it's good that I am thinking of renovating this now. I guess it is time. It wouldn't be humorous if I fell all the way through and land on the ground floor right?! Ha-ha!
