7-Eleven Holds Tour in Central Luzon

I am so happy this happened, but they didn’t invite me ah!

Anyway, 7-Eleven just concluded their 7-Eleven Tour 2019 last April 7 at Clark Global City in Pampanga. The route took them all to the jungles of Subic, to the busy Clark roads, then Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and back. It was arduous but these cyclists aged 16-75 participated in 48 or 106 KM courses which took their turns at Floridablanca Pampanga and Tipo Zambales respectively.

Over 3,000 professional and recreational cyclists joined one of the largest bike events of the year, the 7-Eleven Tour 2019 which took place last April 7. The event saw elite and weekend cyclists bike from Clark Global City passing through Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), then to Subic and back. In 2 hours and 29 minutes, Mark John Galedo won the title with Michael Jan Farre and Rench Michael Bondoc following suit. He won the Php 20,000 grand prize.

7-Eleven came back from a 7 year hiatus and this event was made possible with their partners NLEX, SCTEX and Clark Global City. Their CEO Jose Victor Paterno says “We believe this tour would be a great venue for professional and also to discover the up and coming generation of cyclists in the Philippines. We hope they found a glimpse of the scenic beauty of Central Luzon and perhaps be inspired to bring honor and pride for our country.”

You should hurry because the stickers can only be collected up to November 17, but claiming of the Spinners can still be done until next year January 3, 2018.

7-11 Opens 2000th Store in the Philippines

Jose Paterno says "We have been doing this since 1984, I think our 1500th store is in Cagayan De Oro and some in Visays because we are expanding in the other islands and we want to concentrate back here and so we're coming back where we started. We're growing fastest in Mindanao, but the habits of the market evolved, and we have expanded our food servings like gourmet Filipino food and other things at CBD's and we have entered the digital age making Cliqq rewards exchanged points with products. It's got it's own bar code that you can easily register with so each time you go to a 7-Eleven store you can rack up rewards points and exchange it for merchandise available on the app. The kiosk is also an access point so if you're around the area you can use your free 70MB for wireless connection. If that's not enough, you can opt to transfer your points for credits in your wifi access so you can surf some more.

These are my current favorite products in 7-Eleven and I'm glad they can actually become reward points every Php 50 purchase. The fridge that houses most of the sandwiches, the Milk Tea and Wintermelon Tea that's pretty new, plus this thing called Go Long which is a giant version of Yakult. It's just some of the things I love from the store.

Now I had some friends with me during that small event we had at 7-Eleven so since I've got some points on my card, I sent them some points too so they can get rewards just like me. The app basically has a section where you can redeem it and it lists down some really good freebies which you can claim as soon as you open your app. Just show it to the counter and you'll get it when it's available. Aside from that, you can use these points to purchase products if you feel like you want to shop. There are tons of promos and free stuff they've given away and if you've got multiple cards, you can have them registered on the app and combine them all! That way you don't have to really bring your cards along and just have the barcode on the app scanned by the friendly 7-Eleven staff on your phone if you're purchasing from them. Now isn't that convenient?

Mustache Fun at 7-Eleven: #LetsSLURPfie

Waaaahhhhhhhhh!

That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw this photo. Back in highschool, my friends would tease me because I looked like that guy who had a brain freeze in that Slurpee commercial. This time, they're taking that same Slurpee experience to another level by releasing a one of a kind, limited edition Slurpee Mustache Straws that people can collect and enjoy together with their favorite Slurpee flavors in every 7-Eleven Store. Oh and yes, they come in different, quirky designs!

Having been introduced in the 1950s, the Slurpee was just an accidental creation of Omar Knedly as it was born from a broken soda fountain. They called it “Icee” back then and our favorite 7-Eleven named it “Slurpee” during the 1960s so it could be young and catchy with consumers in that decade. Now, you can see Slurpee in all 7-Eleven stores nationwide and since 1984, Filipinos have been loving Slurpee's classic flavors like Fuji Apple, Raspberry and Bubblegum. There are special flavors too every season like the Classic Cola Blast the favorite sweet and tangy Watermelon Lime which most stores have.

For the mustache, you just need to add Php 49 so you could get one. Just choose any design when you purchase any size of Slurpee. What they do nowadays is after they grab Slurpees with the Slurpee Mustache Straw, they post it on Instagram donning their best bigote pose.
