RADYO5 Launches New Look with 92.3 TRUE FM

Spent the afternoon at Quezon City Circle for the launch of 92.3 RADYO5 TRUE FM as they roll out programs for the only news station on FM frequency. Their tagline is "Dito tayo sa totoo!", and we all got to see hosts of the several show which will comprise the programming schedule of the rebranded station.

Present during the occasion was Mon Gualvez, Ted Failon, DJ Chacha, Lourd de Veyra, Danton Remoto, Dr. Love Bro. Jun Banaag, Dr. Edinell of Healing Galing. Broadcaster Cheryl Cosym, Balita Pilipinas hosts, and several more personalities involved in the station. TRUE FM wants to provide entertainment, music, true news and public service to all corners of the Philippines. This is the first two in one station in the country, and they are putting that into good news.

Ms. Cherry Bayle says "As you all know we had a Radyo5 liner saying you have to leave the usual, that's why we did public service on FM and news too. We changed the lineup of programs and did a lot of things people can experience on the station. We came up with TRUE FM, truth in journalism, relatable stories, unwavering public service and entertainment."

 We also talked to Dra. Edinell of Healing Galing which will be back after a 2 year hiatus

In the morning Mon Gualves will do Bangon Bayan, Ted Failon and DJ Chacha will do a self named show for commentaries. Ted adds "I hope there will be more mobile journalists, we need to have citizen journalists that can do it right. Pam and Julie will be doing it on our show, like feature stories, political ones, and true news."

As for showbiz talk, there was a part where the title Queen of FM was being pitted with DJ Chacha and Laila Chikadora, and they cleared things during the press conference

 

Also, Senator Raffy Tulfo was phone patched as he was still traveling from a different province when the press conference happened. He told us why he wouldn't be stopping radio anytime soon.

There are still a LOT of things to look forward to now that they've changed their radio station's name and direction. They continue to become different, and will be making change in bringing what the TRUE people need to hear on radio, TV and online. Congratulations on the launch of 92.3 RADYO5 TRUE FM!

New People, New Programs at Radyo5

Looks like programming will become a little different this 2023 for Radyo5 92.3FM as they launch new shows and put some of the top broadcasters in the industry on their frequency. True to their tagline of "Ito na ang totoong tunog ng Serbisyo Publiko!" much of the changes they'll be having is the addition of public service centric shows that would cater to different folks which would make sense once you hear their names.

I've been listening to Dr. Love aka Brother Jun Banaag in his previous radio station. Let's just say he starts his program in the evening up to the wee hours of the morning so you have someone to accompany you do your work. He gets the 10 to 12am slot every Friday and talks more about family life, relationships and deep faith hence his moniker Dr. Love. Aside from that, his voice is of legends and very deep which I think is really cool to hear.

Aside from him, the new show Bangon Bayan will be ON on weekdays 4 to 6am hosted by Mon Gualvez. If you miss Cheryl Cosim, she's in the late afternoon show Sagot Kita! which will be from 4 to 5pm to tackle current events and public service. Your favorite FM DJ Laila Chikador on the other hand will be hosting Good Vibes together with financial guru Stanley Chi. This will be on prime time at 6:30 to 8pm. For a bit more help for the Filipino people, there's Pinoy Konek hosted by LGBTQIA stalwart Danton Remoto which will be doing legal, OFW affairs and public service talk from 9 to 10pm.

This has been a welcome addition to the RADYO5 hit shows of Ted Failon and DJ ChaCha, the entertainment show Cristy Ferminute hosted by Cristy Fermin  and also Wanted sa Radyo with your idol Sen. Raffy Tulfo. This is just the start of the year and there's a lot to look forward to on RADYO5, make sure you follow them on their social channels as they update you with even more changes in the coming days.

3 Parties You Should Not Miss During MassKara Festival

I work hard but party harder. This year, I'll be flying to Bacolod to witness the MassKara Festival. It's my first time but I do frequent the place because almost all my relatives are there. I know the arrangements for the streetdance and grand parade are already being done because I know a few who will be part of that. But when the night comes, we don't have to just go home and sleep... we need to party even more!

I've taken the pleasure of listing down 3 major parties that you should not miss during this weekend. You need to be in the most happening places in Bacolod so you would not just sulk in your hotel room while you're on vacation.


Party #1

MassKara Love Dance

On October 17, 2014, head on the Central Football Field in Mandalagan, Bacolod City. The whole place will be transformed into a music festival ground where freedom, expression and screams will be sacred. They will take you to that place where a weekend of party and love converge. It'll happen from 12 Noon to sunrise the next day! I will be there to take photos of people so see you!

Cafe Bob's is a landmark in Lacson Street and if you're doing MassKara, you should never miss this 2 day spectacle that will happen on the actual street. They are also bringing in Spectrum Live! They'll be coming in with the best of the best acts in Visayas and Mindanao. DJ's from Spectrum will be spinning right after the sun sets. Lights and sounds on this grand EDM party might not be seen quite a while in this side of the Philippines so if you're into it, come grace the Invasion Tour in Bacolod! This will happen in 2 days, October 17-18 so you've got time to roam around and enjoy this one!

This is the BIGGEST outdoor dance festival in Bacolod. Think about the lineup of 35 DJ's, 4 MC's, 2 bands all being done in 4 long nights. BIGFISH MANILA: Innovation Black: Photos of Tritonal and the Event!

One of the most awaited events in town and we were there to cover it. We attended the White Party but this time we go opposites and still got through attending INNOVATION BLACK. Everyone was in their dapper black outfits and we got first dibs on what happened there. We even got the chance to talk to Tritonal live in the flesh before the party started. Are you ready?

We were there around 10ish and the place was slowly packing up. The VIP seats are on the sides and on the lower part of this photo with the illuminated tables. Black was everywhere! This was the view from the press room because we were about to interview the DJ's before they spin. Yeap, world class Tritonal was going to be in front of us. It's my first time to meet these famous DJ's! Oh actually it's their first time here too go figure haha!

They were so fun, they were not that intimidating because they were so nice to talk to right from the get go. We were a little shy I guess to ask questions but after a while they got us into it.

Nothing but Power Horse to start our creative juice flowing and keep us energized throughout the evening til the wee hours of the morning. Actually I was really hyped until about 8am, this was around 10pm when I got it so imagine that while I was even drinking! :))

 

 The word TRITONAL came from 80% TNT and 20% Aluminum. It's what they usually use as air bombs and for them to have this particular name to use as their monicker entails a lot of things. They've proven to be one of the most formidable duos in the House/Trance circuit and it shows on the tracks that they have been releasing these past few years. Some of them are even big in the iTunes charts so just imagine how much people believe and live their music. They've got several remixes of music greats such as Jerome Isma-ae who's consequently also playing that evening. We didn't get to interview him though because his plane was kinda delayed. Mind you these guys are jet-setters and on some instances they only land and leave countries in less than 24 hours. Chad and Dave are no different in this lifestyle and they've been representing the US in this genre for a long time now. Their hits Essence of Kea,  Crash Into Reason, Let Solitude, Piercing Quiet, and my personal favorite Cloudbase are just some of what they've been known for and are continually working on projects here and there also with other artists from Europe and elsewhere in the world. They've got a huge following and why not, their sound alone speaks a lot why they continue to be one heck of a representation from the United States that all started with a few things before they became this magical now.

Dave by the way is also married to a Filipina and I remember talking to her years ago on Twitter. She's Elleah, also an EDM vocalist but when asked more about projects they are doing today Dave and Chad said Elleah's quite busy with her own craft right now that they don't have time for that but would really love to do more things with her soon. They kinda know how proud we are about how she was able to play amongst men in this genre and the fact that she's Filipina just made our day. Dave said she mentioned a lot of things about the Philippines but said he should try the food. Adobo was mentioned and hearing this from him just made our smiles a little wider that time. I can't wait what they'll play that evening but they forewarned us that they will be playing some new tracks as well that's never been heard before in other Tritonal gigs. True enough, they showed us a thing or two about what they can do!

Cuervo was actually one of the major sponsors of this INNOVATION BLACK party and above is their executive + ladies from the brand. There was a part in the program where they introduced the new drink called CUERVO BLACK. Honestly, when I tasted it, it was smooth and perfect! It's going to be something I'd look forward to drinking a lot of pretty soon!

When we went down to check out the scene; DJ John Paul Lee was spinning. Everybody was up on their toes and partying like no tomorrow when he did his set. By the looks of it, our DJ's were at par with the world's best no doubt about that!

Even the ladies on the AXN Asia booth agreed with me! Don't they look gorgeous too?! :)

I've met some of the nicest people. This guy on the left, I like his hair LOL!

Then they introduced CUERVO BLACK to the crowd in STYLE of course! We went rowdy with them celebrating this awesome party called INNOVATION BLACK!

Then they started their set! It was TRITONAL!

Then we partied like there was no tomorrow! Tritonal's music was awesome! I heard Jerome Isma-Ae was great too! You guys should experience this soon coz the next one's actually the biggest Halloween party in the country called CREAM Halloween Ball. It's where everybody dresses up in their favorite costumes or something fancy! You'll love this next BIGFISH MANILA gig on October! You should definitely buy tickets for that as soon as they release it! I'll tell you when it'll be on my site so stick around!
