KUYA J's Dons New Look and Food at Eastwood Branch

I was this happy when I found out that Kuya J's was opening a new store in Eastwood City. It stands on the old area where Something Fishy used to be almost fronting Pho Hoa in front of the road. They are donning a new look and their food is being slightly presented differently, a lovely way to start this evening!

The interiors are fresh, clean looking and they plan to actually implement these in stores nationwide. These are exciting times!

Oh and if that's not enough, the food is just amazing!

I particularly love the Lechong Baka and Caldereta, the Crispy Pata comes a close second.

Now I just had to let you look at him for obvious reasons. Enjoy!

Jericho Rosales, Jessy Mendiola for “The Girl in the Orange Dress” this MMFF 2018

This is definitely one of the films people look forward to watch because why not, it’s the only one discussing romance this December and ultimately combining two fine actors that have never been paired up, discussing a matter that anyone can relate to; when you fall in love with someone you think is not at your level, but forgot that they too are human just like you.

Here is our interview with the Jesse and Jericho during the shoot of the film:

Jessy Mendiola says “The craziest celebrity thing I did? I chose my heart over my career, but I didn’t regret any part of it. About the hungover story, I remember getting hung over after promising to pay for my friends birthday party. I checked my wallet the day after and the receipt was there. When I called her it was as if she paid for it, that was crazy. You need to watch this because it’s Christmas, it is fun, it is about giving and sharing, you will fall in love with us. If you see what Quantum produces every year, they have got so much promise because all their romantic films have done well. It just makes you feel good, please watch this as it focuses on love.”

Ria Atayde says “I am a huge Jericho Rosales fan and Echo is just amazing. You will also fall in love with the movie in the few hours it will be shown. ”

Jericho Rosales says “Every profession has good and bad things, the steady career, the perks, free stuff, attention, people think they know you, some actors abuse their popularity. Things happen, bash us, make a perception, it’s just a dog eat dog kind of industry and we work long hours without benefiting from the government. I have always pointed out that I didn’t want to be a celebrity, I just want to be an actor. I need to even watch this because Lino is depressing, I need something kilig, something that would get me over friendship issues. You should watch it because it will make you feel normal, smiling, because it really feels good. You need positive chemicals before you plan to watch the other things because this just gives good vibes. We didn’t put so much weight on the dress, it was just stolen, but when you see her from afar, you can identify her like a scandal on his head. Actually, this is about friendship. About running away from limelight, I did want that a few times in the past, but I don’t like the days when I get compared to anyone, affecting my family and my son and this kinda gives you a glimpse of that. It’s like a rock and roll world. It is not the dress, but the girl in the orange dress. I must say my fans, they are not much and they give me advice, they are the thinking, accepting kind of fans.”

Go watch The Girl in the Orange Dress this December 25 and see how you can enjoy someone else’s adventurous relationship, romance and love story. Talk to the person beside you in the cinema but not to be scary, who knows, you might fall in love there too.

Erich Gonzales and Jericho Rosales for SIARGAO

It looks so dreamy just by looking at these screenies from the movie. I was handed these shots a couple of days ago and I must say, they've probably done a remarkable job in cinematography. Though from the looks of it, no matter how talented that guy or gal may be, Siargao must have been really picturesque already. This is the setting of this movie by Direct Paul Soriano called SIARGAO. 

It feels more like a story that would grow on you. The pacing is light, like the drama that it tries to exude from the start. Like star crossed lovers meeting in the perfect place and in the most opportune time. With no assurance if love would grow or not, a thing that you would ask if you would want to gamble and experience it under the hot beachy sun.

Jericho Rosales is no strager in this genre, and if you don't know, they've proven it so many times how effective he is in series he's shown in different countries. His eyes alone could communicate the emotions, no woman would even want to push him back if he wrapped his arms around them. If that would bud the romance between his character and Erich Gonzales, I couldn't think of anything difficult that would come out of it, unless she had issues. Will this be a good one for Diego and Laura?

Erich who plays Laura (a Vlogger) is your run of the mill tourist, stepping on uncharted territory. I just don't know if she's going to be that hopeful or careful in falling in love in this film. Is this a city girl meets country boy story? I don't even care anymore because as much as I want the story to move, I think they're more or less... showing the majestic spots of the province in the film. I love Erich in anything, she moves and tells stories when she speaks. Like Jericho, she can move you with emotions and cry buckets of tears with it. You will also see an Erich that could surf, cliff dive and run around like an adventurer. If you want to know her story, then you should watch SIARGAO for that alone.

I saw Jasmine Curtis a few days ago during the ABSCBN Press party and she was really skinny. Her beauty evidently still there, but this would be a test for her. What would she play a part of aside from being a strong willed environmental activist in the province? It's her turf but what would she play in the lives of Diego and Laura? She would look fit as the third party, more so since she depicts a tough cookie. We can't blame if she would whip out all her guns if she's also gonna fall for Diego too. He's probably a local hearthrob eh?

SIARGAO is a movie by Ten17P, same people who did Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis, Mariquina, Dagitab and Transit which all received accolades here and in the international scene. It's part of the entries in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2017. If you would want to see niche film as Direk Paul explained, this would be it. If you also love Erich like I do, make room for this in your list of must watch films this Christmas Day!

Jericho Rosales and Bela Padilla for Luck at First Sight

Spent an afternoon watching the new movie of Jericho Rosales and Bela Padilla starrer LUCK AT FIRST SIGHT under Viva Films. Honestly I don't watch that much Filipino films because I often find them corny but I think it just needs one or two ingredients on it that could make it work, you just need good actors.

That's what Jericho and Bela is in the first place and doing the role of two troubled people with added problems like money, suddenly find themselves lucky at first... then lost everything again. What caused it will be seen developing in the movie and this romance between Jericho and Bela probably will convince you they're meant to be together. It's those small things that builtd up and make this romance believable. 

If you're in love or just hopeful, make sure you watch it on your favorite theaters soon! This will make your heart melt, and you'll be happy for them.

Eugene Domingo and Jericho Rosales for "Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2"

Eugene Domingo is going to make you fall in love, like romantically in love and still make you laugh. Jericho Rosales gives more of his leading man material, but transforms into a monster for comedy, that's what the Director promises in this Graded A film called "Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank 2". This is their official entry to the Metro Manila Film Fest 2016.

Eugene says "Chris Martinez knows me very well and it wasn't hard. My character had little bits of my life on it. After you watch this, you'll get a sense why she had to be difficult in this film. It was easy to shoot and we even had time to drink after the first few days. We have a different material now and we're making a sweet romantic comedy film. This is the perfect cast, perfect script, a perfect family movie for Christmas!"

Jericho Rosales says "I think it's the script that mostly builds the comedy here. We have food actors but if you really listen to the words we utter on the film, you get it why we did it. I even did a VERY passionate kissing scene and I can imagine it close to a spanish telenovela. It's so good! This came at a time when I had time to explore, be a crazy guy but I was so happy to be with game changers. They have intellect, best 9 days in this project."

Kean Cipriano says "This was my first film and doing this again was so much fun. I've had issues in the first installment but this time, we had super nice shoots that's just happy. Even if we did it for 9 days, super fun!"

Just imagine Joel Torre and Jericho Rosales in one film, add great actors with Eugene Domingo, it's bound to be the top grosser this December 25. Visualize their punchlines, this is timely, it's very light, Eugene is here, it's funny, it's going to make you stay in a happy mood, it's also going to make you cry laughing, it's a good sequel, it's relateable, it's quality, it's been two years since she's gone, she's also in love now (with an Italian guy), relax and make sure it's on top of your list this Christmas!
