The Glow Atelier Starts Exclusive Distribution of The BARUM Systems in the Philippines

The freedom to choose what to use for your skin is something that I treasure, and so does 103 million other Filipinos. These days, we've had the opportunity to travel and discover things that are apt for Asian skin. We've seen the resurgence of Korean derm products, one of them is The Barum, a brand that has been recently launched in the Philippines. This is exclusively going to be distributed in the country by The Glow Atelier.

Their philosophy lies in "Proactive Skincare", something that is fully scientifically approached, to not just act on issues now, but starting on making the skin resilient. Spent the afternoon at the Renewplus Medical Aesthetics clinic over at the 2nd Floor of The Lerato Tower 3 in Malugay, Makati City. As the name suggests, it's a place to get your treatments done. This means a lot, and we got to talk to Dr. Paul Francis Verano about it. He says "Renewplus is about cutting edge treatments and wellness services. It's a place to renew, reimagine and radiate. This is put up by businessman John Bilaos and offers a full line of treatments, laser and body procedures designed to only enhance your natural beauty. Experts Explain Advancements in Exosome Use: ExoDerm by Facial Care Centre

It's been a while since I've gone out for a little self care and pampering. But before that, I heard that there's a lot of development about using exosomes for treatments. Initially, I saw them using it at Svenson for NexoHair, a treatment made for hair loss, alopecia and the likes, but this time, they're taking it in even better applications specifically for skin and call it, ExoDerm. This procedure is being done at Facial Care Centre and their branches. We went to the Makati GT Tower branch which is at the corner of Ayala and HV Dela Costa streets. It is highly advised to get an appointment first before going there.

We met Mike Lee, the CEO of PrimaCure and his father Dr. Young Seob Lee, world renowned South Korean Plastic Surgeon and premier expert in this field. They explained to us the applications of exosomes and the things they can do now for the skin. Mike Lee explains "Undergoing this procedure for a regular patient would immediately have all your inflammation and blemishes clear. It can take effect somewhere between 1 to 5 days, and its purpose is to revamp the activity of your cells. When you are younger, you didn't have melasma right? Of course we get that through aging, but at the cellular level we need energy for it. We had anti oxidants to counteract pollution, UV rays, your lifestyle, nutrition and hormonal things. As we age, we're not able to regulate that as well. These stressors will affect the mitochondria, which brings you less energy, less collagen produced, and you'll have laxity and melasma. This happens when machines get old, then it makes it dry, because it falls and can't retain moisture. Like your cellphones, it needs updating, same concept goes with exosomes. It sends growth factors, genetic materials to revamp the skin. It makes your current skin behave younger, like when you're 36, it could act as 28 or even younger."

Dr. Young Seob Lee adds "In our next projects with our research in Europe, we are targeting post menopausal applications of exosomes, to prevent many uncomfortable issues with the female form. Initially we held research about its efficacy, and we have determined it to be quite good. And we might not just be applying this to post menopausal but post partum as well to prevent issues there. In the Philippines, we might have this soon."

The core technology that they are using is now being done for different applications. Their process is different and not derived through stem cells. The vesicle that enables delivery of needed products for skin/hair is the great thing about this and the different things they can do is promising. It's developed enough to do pathways that would benefit different kinds of treatment and it is already proven in the products they've come out with. They've seen it happen to more than a thousand patients in the Philippines alone, and numbers on a global scale would be a lot bigger. The customization they could do would be good for a lot of people.

The gorgeous people from CATHY DOLL Philippines made the SM Beauty space even prettier with a #WhatADollDay event. This was done for folks who love the brand and onlookers that would want to get first dibs of their newest CC Cream line and new products together with influencers Toni, Echo, Cha and Dior... and a surprise guest they revealed later on, the Asoka Challenge Queen herself Lenie Aycardo.

This is the first time I was covering a Cathy Doll event, and I used to see them in different BL series that I watch especially those from Thailand. They're extremely popular, and with good reason, because their products really do work. It also doesn't cost much which makes it possible for them to be used for a greater demographic. It was so nice to see the brand also puts importance in being inclusive hence their endorsers. No matter what orientation, shape or form you are, Cathy Doll products are made especially for you.

Jericho and Dior took time to introduce the Cathy Doll CC Lip Serum and Cathy Doll Get Set Go Browcara. They have these in different shades and scents, and can be used if you are either fair or brown skinned. I'd be surprised how confident Jericho was during the talk and how he showed it doesn't make you less of a man if you are using cosmetics these days, as they say, it's already 2024! Dior on the other hand taught how to apply the browcara, as some of you may know, it'll make your brow appear more pronounced but not leech like. It looked good on them and it was applied in a few minutes. Men need perfect brows too.

Last July 31st, the posh Greenhills Mall turned even more beautiful as CHARM by Joel Lopez MD opened its doors to the public. This is located at the Lower Ground level of Greenhills Mall at the hall on the left side if you are entering from OB Montessori. CHARM stands for Center for Healthy Aging and Regenerative Medicine which is an apt term for the services that Dr. Joel Lopez and his team are offering.

 

While they've been doing regenerative services, they put importance on actually offering it to all ages because it would be better for people to take good care of their skin while they are still young. They also encourage patients to learn a thing or two, become empowered and experience improving their overall well being. Think of it as a more wholistic approach rather than just cosmetic. A Brilliant Boracay Summer with Andrea Brillantes, Kyle Echarri and Brilliant Skin Essentials

Boracay was suddenly even more brilliant as Star Magic artists Andrea Brillantes and Kyle Echarri went ashore for Brilliant Skin Essentials summer event. This was hosted by the brand's queen and CEO Ms. Glenda dela Cruz. The event last May 19th also was the perfect time to introduce their newest brand ambassador and some new products which is part of the new line.

Ms. Glenda says "We call this a Brilliant Summer, and honestly, I am overwhelmed by the amount of support we are getting. Thank you all for making this possible. Even if they say that the hot season is over, we're still celebrating summer!"

She's continued to give really great incentives to brand partners and this time, she flew over 300 franchise owners, distributors and guests. They also had Andrea Brillantes and Kyle Echarri entertaining them all in the evening with song and dance numbers. Andrea mentioned "Brilliant Skin has been something I use since I was 15, and I know it's effective." Kyle added "Being with this brand makes me feel like I'm with family, which I'm sure even you would attest to! (and points to the crowd)."

What a Brilliant Summer!

Sunshine Cruz is the face of THIOCELL

My Daily Collagen Super Series Triathlon Set on March 10th

Your best race ever is about to happen at Subic Bay this March 10, 2024. At the press conference for the My Daily Colagen Super Series, they told us how the brand has been preparing for this Triathlon by doing a few firsts.

This is going to be a new course, with some parts of it being in the actual Segara Hotel where people will also be getting their race kits from. Aside from that, they made it pretty flat and beginner friendly so they could be a good prep event for most of the Triathletes that are competing in other races. This is what Ms. Nylah Bautista (current Race Director) assured participants and they are preparing well in terms of security, medical and well placed race stops so you can hydrate well.

Triathlon Team representatives like FitPH, TriMac, LakanTri, Wednesday Tri, Team Zeru, New Bound Tri, Rockstar Triathlon, GS Coaching, TinayTri and more were there to witness the signing. Faith Garcia the Ms Aura International 2021, Doc Rob, Doc Jill and Patricia Javier and My Daily Collagen executives Oliver Sales, Ms. Ana Perez of Global Wellness Enterprises will make sure you are going to have fun with the course, but still make it challenging for you overall.

For those who don't know, this is the most well attended Triathlon event in the country with standard distances. My Daily Collagen is best for those who undergo rigorous training especially if you are exposed under the sun as it helps you retain water, even has vitamins and minerals to help you recover.

Showcasing Hard Work and Brilliance: The Brilliant Awards 2023

Just got off the Brilliant Awards 2023, The Brightest of All Time. Brilliant Skin Inc. holds events like these annually to honor the regional leaders, franchisees, distributors of their cosmetic products in the country. Clad in their most gorgeous white and pink shimmering outfits, they were all welcomed at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Pasay City by Brilliant Skin CEO Glenda Dela Cruz.

Ms. Glenda says "This night is all for you, I know there are a lot of people who came from the Cordilleras, Region 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, Bangsamoro and NCR. You are the ones who are really brilliant."

She adds "We have been able to weather through the challenges of 2023. We had fears, uncertainty, and I thought everything would be gone. I learned to be grateful, and to tell you honestly, I'm a better version now. My life is an open book now, I let go of people that I loved and accepted it even though it was difficult. We made waves when we started our Pinakamakinang events in Araneta, and now we are in Malaysia with our TikTok shop, and with our online platform in countries like Dubai (UAE), Malaysia, and soon in Singapore. We did this because of you. We continue to work hard, and I hope this goes the same with all of you. This proves that no matter what they say, you stand behind me all the way. I won't be wasting your trust. I thank God for saving me so many times, and he has done so much for me."

 

After personally thanking the "Brilliants", a term she coined for those who support her, she began showing her gratitude with the tons of celebrity performers she prepared for them. With the likes of Mariel Padilla and Luis Manzano as their hosts, model and actor Daniel Matsunaga, song and dance numbers from international stars 4th Impact and talk of the town Andrea Brillantes, everyone was just so glad to be in the midst of their endorsers who went there to just perform for them. Add to that singers JK Labajo, Kyle Echarri, Jason Dy, good looking actor Paulo Avelino, our golden boy Alden Richards, rock phenom Kean Cipriano and KZ Tandingan brought the house down as each of the winners were announced on stage. It was really nice to see how the crowd reacted when people from their own region was called, and how proud they really are.

Ms. Glenda was so thankful that despite her recent health challenges, they were all able to gather in one place so she could personally spend time with them, to take photos, talk and thank them for the hard work they put in for Brilliant Skin.

CATHY VALENCIA Celebrates 18 Years in the Business

Whenever I hear her name, I remember countless artists, celebrities that have been able to experience the Cathy Valencia Advanced Skin Clinic. Results that you can't deny, which is why she's still the premiere name to trust in the industry. Recently, they celebrated their 18th year in the business. It was also her birthday, so she threw a thanksgiving party for her most loyal clientele, her celebrity endorsers and the media a few days ago.

The Cathy Valencia Advanced Skin Clinic has been doing skin and aesthetic services since 2002. They now have lots of products available in their clinics designed to maintain, enhance, improve and nourish your skin. We had a grand time there, seeing them bond over games and entertainment numbers was super nice to see. Celebrities like Kitkat, the gorgeous Jessy Mendiola, Marco Gumabao, Enchong Dee, Sunshine Cruz and her daughters, the lovely Sanya Lopez, Tita Anabelle Rama, sweethearts Loisa Andallo and Ronnie Alonte went to the event, to wish Ms. Cathy a happy birthday, and tell us about the various services they love in their clinic.

Dimples Romana Launches Own Skincare Line DREAMCAKE

Dimples Romana is a very talented actress, business woman, a very dedicated Mom and go to brand ambassador for anything under the sun. Her undeniable charm, sunny disposition and unblemished character make her a viable choice to encompass different ages, all throughout the years.

Dimples says "Thank you so much for coming to my launch, this is a love letter for me. My dream team is here, we also worked with people from Korea and we all love anything formulated there. I'm a sweet tooth, and this is why we crave for cake all day. It's a dessert, but want what I crave be personified in this brand. I have been representing a lot of brands in the past, but I'm turning 38 in a few weeks which is why I want to leave a legacy. This is the fruit of what I've learned over time, I always have that craving to be youthful, glowing, amazing, a goal for all of us. I rarely wear makeup, and having undergone lasik, I couldn't wear anything so I wore only Dreamcake today. They were very open to things I want to do, this is a passion project. I am hands on, but it's really a good team behind it. At this point in my life, this is what I want to leave, slow and steady for the skin we want to have."

The series has also transcended every age, as seen on social media, people have been rooting for the genius doctor. They are continuing to do so, and today, part of the reason to be happy is her being the celebrity endorser for DreamGirl. 

Currently they have one product out in the market, particularly the DreamSkin by DreamGirl GluKoGen Soap. What it promotes is giving you that toned healthy glow.
