I know it's almost 12, but can't just stand around and do nothing. So the best thing to do is give you a few things you could consider getting from Shopee. There's tons of things around, but since I've attended their event a few days ago, I've come to a conclusion that there's no escaping the deals and steals they have, so just give in and shop. TECNO SPARK 20

 

This is the upgraded version of the previous SPARK series, but made affordable. It regularly is priced Php 5,599, pretty good hardware for gaming. So if your boyfriend, brother, husband needs on this holidays, this is the time to get it. They also have the Spark 20 Pro out before the year ends, so if not the Spark 20, get the other one instead.

SONY ZV 1

If you're looking to up your vlogging game, one of the most loved brands of cameras actually come from SONY. This ZV-1 has a 20.1 Megapixel 1 inch type sensor, real time tracking, eye auto focus, a bokeh switch (so you are not lens dependent), a directional mic with wind screen so you don't need that furry cover for it. HONOR Smartphones 

HONOR has several phones on sale this 12.12. Some products will also be 50 percent OFF which is really huge if you're out to get a phone. The HONOR X9a 5G is one that I use, and quite abuse, but it's one of the toughest phones I've ever had and I've used it for coverages and interviews. I could say this is much for the clumsy ones, I admit, I've dropped it a few times and it didn't get dent or damaged whatsoever. I've seen this be run over by a car during the launch (as I was there) and it's a pretty tough cookie. The HONOR 90 on the other hand is good for photos, if you're much into that in your socials, it would be better to get that instead.

REALME 11

Their best phone currently is the Realme 11. It's very pretty colorwise, has ample screen resolution, high screen to body ratio, bright and tough with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. You can get 8GB RAM with it, and they're running a promo when the clock strikes 12 on 12.12. I would suggest you get this if you're more into video. You can also do a bit of gaming with it with ease, I've had an older model that still works but I suggest you don't drop it as much because glass is glass. They also give freebies, so check their offers if they have them on special dates.

 POCO F5

Meet the POCO F5. This is an 8GB phone with a 256GB internal storage. It also comes in a 12GB, 256GB version too plus a 1 year warranty. That's how confident they are with the product. SAMSUNG Outs Two Entry Level Phones Galaxy M02 and M12

The Samsung Galaxy M02 and the Samsung Galaxy M12

Looks like Samsung is going to be giving consumers a LOT of choices this year. Recently, they launched 2 new entry level phones in the market and we've gotten to test out one of them, the Samsung Galaxy M12. The other one they launched is the Samsung Galaxy M02. 

Here's our first impression of the new Samsung Galaxy M12 on video:

The Galaxy M12 comes in Black, Blue and Green. It's got a 6.5 inc HD+TFT display, an Octa Core 2GHz Exynos 850 Processor, comes in 4GB and 64GB storage. You can also expand it to 1TB on a separate micro SD card and enjoy hours of social media, streaming and gaming as its got a 5000 mAh battery. It also has Quad rear cameras featuring a 48MP main cam, 5MP ultra wide, 2MP Macro and 2MP for depth of field. The front camera is an 8MP, so you can still take awesome selfie shots with apt amount of details. The phone also has got 15W fast charging capability, a finger print scanner on the side and dolby atmos audio. I have had the privilege of editing photos, videos, recording them as well and it performed at par/even better than other entry level phones on this price range. It did run Mobile Legends and Call of Duty Mobile on it, I've enjoyed several minutes of games before I started browsing social media channels on it. 

The more affordable Samsung Galaxy M02 on the other hand carries a Quad Core MT6739WW processor. It also got a 2GB RAM and 32GB storage for all your photos and videos. It comes in Black, Blue and Gray colorways and has dual back cameras that have 12MP main and 2MP for macro shots. It also has a 5MP front camera which is ample for selfies and taking videos for socials. Currently, the prices for these two land on Php 7,490 for the Samsung Galaxy M12 and Php 4,490 for the Samsung Galaxy M02.

The front cam is 16MP so those selfies will be very detailed. The TCL Tab 10s on the other hand has a Mediatek MT8768 chipset, variants of 32GB 3GB RAM, 64GB 4GB RAM, can take 1080p at 30fps videos, and a 5MP selfie camera which is sufficient. It has an 8000 mAh battery so it can last the whole day and a few hours the next day if doing usual tasks.


The TCL 20 SE and TCL 10 5G will be available in the Philippines in hundreds of mobile phone stores as it is part of the VSTECS supply chain. All the big mobility retailers are part of that so you can expect it to be seen quite often. The TCL 20 SE is the most affordable at Php 7,990, at 6.8 inches it is going to be the best one in that segment. The best 5G phone in that price range of the TCL 10 5G can't be beaten as it will be packaged either with data plans, promotions and will be released soon. I have a personal phone that is dedicated to gaming. I do this so as not to disturb my workflow because one, it would run out of storage and memory, two, the notifications would be crazy disruptive. These days it doesn't just take good eye hand coordination to win games, but noticeably these past few months made me realize that there's a whole lot of things can help you get ahead of the pack.

REALME Reaps Awards To Start The Year

REALME is at it again as the mobile phone and AIOT product manufacturer gets well deserved awards on its belt this early. During the last quarter of 2020, they already got the top spot of sold mobile phones in the Philippines, but this time, they're being recognized by organizations and award giving bodies based in other countries.

Who else but Miss Universe Catriona Gray, Restaurateur and content creator Erwan Heussaff, Bianca Gonzalez and huge gamer Gino Quillamor vouched for the new Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Note 20 Ultra.
