Gaming takes a lot of resources, and it needs to have a fast refresh rate so he can do hand eye coordination at max speed, and he's thankful the phone can do 120Hz for its refresh rate. Imagine the things you can do with that on third person shooters or rpg's, he's pretty fond of that.
Honestly, I haven't had the pleasure of actually using a Samsung device in my lifetime. I've seen them with friends and I see how happy they are.
