The Firm: Premiers on AXN ASIA!

1

Classy, intriguing, dirty, fast paced and frivolous. That's how I describe this great new show on AXN called THE FIRM. Imagine an idealistic person joining a law firm in the hopes of getting startling cases and good directions but only ending up seeing how dirty politics is both inside and out the office plus the involvement of the real deal Chicago mobsters. That's THE FIRM's selling point and with it's 2hour episode premier last Sunday it has taken quite a buzz from courtroom drama/suspense aficionados here and outside the Philippines.

This is a continuation of the movie with the same name but it'll be set ten years after. I read this particular novel by John Grisham and you should too because there are other things in the book that probably won't be shown in the TV series. They just came out after a stint in the Wintness Protection Program and thought that they would be able to live normally again only to see that the same old enemies are there plus a lot of complications too in the story.

Ampatuan Cleared of Rebellion?! WT*?!

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

I want to break free from the cycle I am stuck on right now. I am not doing my best going to the gym lately. I think I have been a little too tired from work and just decide to go back home and sleep instead of at least running a bit to reduce stress. I don't know why. I guess it's because of the schedule. I think I'm not used to becoming a day walker LOL.

We have some things in the office I need to take care of and some which I need to help my peers so we could do a project efficiently. I was not much of a team player before but I think I am doing a pretty darn good job lately. Just look at me now, I am in the office 2 hours early LOL... well I can't sleep at home so I decided to just go to the office instead so I can do something fruitful.

Today, I have heard the AMPATUAN's won their case of rebellion against the Philippines. I hate it... it looks like we are all losing faith in the justice system huh!? Supreme Court clears though that they won't get away killing 57 journalists still.... but you know, I still feel they did something wrong... please forgive me to wish someone to die after that. =(

MOA on Ancestral Domain Unconstitutional!!! - Supreme Court

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

MOA is rejected, now it won't be given away that easy!

The Supreme Court ruled 8-7 against the MOA on Ancestral Domain between the Government of the Philippines and the MILF. The court reiterated that Malacanang and the GRP Panel abused its power for pushing for this MOA implementation without considering public consultation. As they say in the movies... I'm not surprised! ^_^

Justice Conchita Carpio-Morales, on the other hand asked the GRP panel to start public consultations from hereon while negotiations are still being done with the government. Peace Process Executive Order 3 Republic act 7160 was the culprit here. The part thats unconstitutional particularly is the recognition of the Bangsa Moro Juridical Entity to act as a state. It ain't gonna push through now because nobody offered public consultation. I would personally be happy about this, I wouldn't want to give away parts of the Philippines to unscrupulous individuals that long before had hostaged the government to comply with their radical ways. Talk has been going on for years, and they could not control their people. Everyone knows that, they should consider ending this asap. People are dying, hurting and being fled away from their homes. Its not enough that people talk and let other parts of these unruly people make their own rules. They go back and haunt innocent ones. May God have mercy on their soul!

Still WAR in Mindanao (-_-)"

Thursday, August 28, 2008

US envoy Kenney, MILF chief Murad Ebrahim meet on peace process in Camp Darapanan in Mindanao

Things that happened today kinda knocked me off my feet... I watched the news this evening... It was all bad... all about the war down south... Like this stuff about the government and the MILF and the numerous ways they point fingers at each other. The Philippines looks like a bloodbath in the south. In the island of Mindanao where there is a lot of promise, there is right now WAR. Yes ladies and gentlemen, they are at WAR.

The MOA that was supposed to be signed in by the government giving territorial privileges to the Moro Islamic Liberation Front did not push through because the Supreme Court stopped the proceedings since they considered this unconstitutional for the Executive branch to give out land that belongs to the republic. Yes, I hate the MILF... not because I am Christian... but as a citizen of the Philippines I do not want anyone hurting the civilians and making them human shields for their cause. A couple of their supposed men blatantly went "TRAITOR" and ransacked several towns in the war stricken land. Killing a few soldiers and civilian too. People think its simple, but this has gone for hundreds and hundreds of years. I would prefer that the government just stop these traitors and start dealing with these hooligans. Stop them from hurting people down there, they have their rights too you know! (-_-)"

All I want is peace down there, can't these guys just stop and just work their *** off like me. I remember the basic principle of life taught to me when I was in high school...we need to study to learn, learn to earn, earn to live, live to serve others... now why couldn't we just do that... I want to punish these people who think too highly of themselves because they weild guns... they think they can do anything because they have power over others... I hope they know what they are doing... I hope the government can resolve this once and for all.
