The Rise of Ascendra International: A Conversation with the Founders

Things are taking shape at the headquarters of Ascendra International. We had a glimpse of it at the 6th Floor of Global Link Center along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City. We were welcomed by their executives headed by CEO Engr. Jurgen Daniel Gonzales, their Chief Strategy Officer Joseph Lim, COO Miko Imson and their Chief Financial Officer Ms. Francesca Fugen. As you may have heard, these names are no strangers in the network marketing industry and has brought decades of their experience to Ascendra International.

Their CFO Ms. Francesca Fugen says "Thank you and it's a pleasure to see you all here despite the rain and doing this on a Monday. Welcome to ASCENDRA! What you are seeing today is our new home, you will see a lot of things happen in this place." 

 

Chief Strategy Officer Joseph Lim says "Thank you to everyone who made it here, especially those who have come from far away like Northern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. We always hear that if it's MLM, people need to suffer, to have a lot of sacrifice in order to reach for their dreams, but in Ascendra, we will be part of your journey in achieving success!" 

COO Miko Imson told everyone about how excited they are and thanked them about spending their day at their new office. He described it as a new milestone, as the new office will be a venue to make dreams come true for a LOT of individuals and their families. He dubbed this as the start of their partnerships, and a new beginning, with hope and love.

Their CEO Engr. Jurgen Daniel Gonzales says "I am formally welcoming everyone in our new home. I want to thank everyone who put their trust in Ascendra, we are on a trial stage, haven't had proven things yet, but you are here to put your trust in us. And what we can say is, we will not break that trust, and together with our CSO, CFO, COO, we will be your partners in success. We will try to make it easier for your to achieve things with Ascendra!"

They also emphasized how they want to change the industry by utilizing a business model that is rooted in sustainability, transparency and ownership. They will not be like the run of the mill corps and do products first. They also want to focus on their long term goals and use AI, education, to fulfill their purpose. They want Filipino entrepreneurs and support them through trainings and have distributors access it without trouble. They are also keen on streamlining all their processes, to make sure to lower costs, give what's due them, and to raise network marketing standards as a whole.

The Huawei Ascend G6 Launch

Last Saturday was a little special by phone brand Huawei as they opened their first store in the Philippines at the SM North Edsa Cyberzone in Quezon City. To make the the day even better, they got popular endorser Jasmine Curtis Smith to be their brand ambassador in the Philippines and launched the Huawei Ascend G6 which is their mid range phone alternative to their Huawei Ascend P6. These are android phones so you can fully customize it. 

This particular phone has got an eight megapixel rear camera. It also has a five megapixel front camera so for those who LOVE taking selfies, this is the best thing money can buy. The phone can also take wide angle shots so if you want to show your friends how huge a place is, then you need not convince them. Just show them the whole angle.

Mr Charles Wu, Country Manager of Huawei Technologies Philippines says "This is just the beginning of our commitment to consumers in bringing them high quality phones at affordable prices. Watch out for our even bigger, better models soon." That just spells there will be more of these items to watch out for inside their stores. A visit would probably be the best thing to do now that they have a store open in SM North Edsa.

Jasmine says "It's time you get your money's worth when choosing the right mobile device for you. Something that would fit your lifestyle, something that still would have the computing power you need important for day to day activities and without breaking the bank." She totally wants the public to take notice of what value the Huawei Ascend G6 birngs. At around 10K for this powerful phone, it's one of the most affordable quad core devices in the market. They are also expecting the release of an LTE version of this phone later this year. I haven't used it yet but I plan to visit the store in my free time. Or if they choose to lend me a unit later on, maybe I can tell how it performs in my app, usage and video tests. Happy Birthday to ME! I Just Turned **!

Hahah of course I won't tell you how young I am. I just celebrated my birthday on the 6th and true enough I had a blast! Actually I survived not telling anyone about it when we went out Saturday evening. I did not want anyone to know anyway, but I think this particular day was special. It was different than the other birthdays I spent the last few years. You ask why? It's because my brother is in town and you could tell that we are complete... he hasn't been here for the last 4 or 5 years so even the Christmas celebration would be different.

My friends from photography fondly called NOCTURNALS covered 4 clubs that night and I was gearing up to shoot too but I begged off when one of our gigs got canceled because there were too many photographers that time. It was awesome because I had more time partying rather than doing the deed. The ladies there were nice! I even like some of them... Did I get drunk? well I made it a point to get drunk. I needed to do that so I could forget some things I should not mention here anymore LOL. My best friend that time was tantararan!



Yeah that is me in the picture LOL NOT! Now I thought it was going to be a temporary thing since I fancy the San Mig Light when I go out. But man the Super Dry was great for me, I did not even have a hangover the next day even if I had about 6 bottles that night. It was just right for me... I hope we get to drink that much soon LOL.

Aside from that, I had to run to my friends in Pasig in the morning for breakfast and a chit chat on a British guy who turned out to be the fiance of a friend's friend... well that was confusing too but they were not able to talk to him that much even if they were all drunk.. I hate that with Pinoys... English is supposed to be our 2nd language but it looks like even they were having a hard time talking to him. Another guy was even mentioning words that are not in the dictionary. WEIRD! I was a little ashamed about that REALLY! But I was already 28 hours awake so I did not push for that anymore coz I was so tired to think about that.

I got home around 8 or 9 in the morning and my Mom opened the gate for me greeting me a happy birthday, that was sweet. =) I slept and woke up around 4 or 5 in the afternoon. We went out that evening for Pizza and Pasta in Itallianis because I wanted them to experience the great time and food I had there a couple of months back. My brother thought I was sad, when actually I was just thinking about work while I was there. Not a good thing I know but hey I have to work that night. I got the team pasta and chicken too. That was nice! I hope my brother does not worry about me.. that I'm not having fun... because if you think about it, it looks like I had fun already! :)
