New JapaNice Stuff from 7-Eleven

Tuesday, May 31, 2022

I've had so much lovely meals from 7-Eleven especially when I was still in the corporate industry and had to run, finish my meal in under thirty minutes. It is so convenient and I must say, they've slowly rolled out different ready to eat food, even fresh vegan offerings to make sure you're getting good meals every day.

Today is a special day as they expand their international menu with Japanese selections as they launch the 7-Fresh Japanese Rice Snacks which includes Salmon Mayo Onigiri, Tuna Mayo Onigiri, California Maki and Mixed Maki. These items are seen in Japan konbini stores and other Asian countries, now they're making it available in the Philippines so we have choices in over 1,600 7-Eleven stores nationwide.

I'm already looking forward to have the Salmon Mayo and Tuna Mayo Onigiri. This has been something I've been eating every time it's on the menu of any Japanese restaurant I go to. The 7-Eleven version has 2 flaps on it, just take the packaging off and eat up, it's one of my favorites. If you fancy maki's, they've got everyone's favorite the California Maki, for those who prefer different ones, you can get the Mixed option. Best of all, it only costs Php 50 (55 for the Salmon Onigiri). It's cheap, but they use quality ingredients for it which means YOU benefit from it. Don't go hungry in the office, school or at home because you can take this out.

So guess what's for dinner tonight! :)

PSBank’s New Pa-Send Service

Thursday, June 27, 2019

These days, banking convenience should be a service that everyone enjoys. Gone are the days where you have to go physically to a bank just to do a simple transaction, it must be accessible wherever and whenever you need it. This is where Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) makes it easy.

The thrift banking arm of the Metrobank Group just recently launched their “PaSend” service. It allows you PSBank depositors to send instant cash online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Now you can simply choose to send money your relatives, friends and business transactions via the PSBank Mobile App. Recipients can simply withdraw the amount from any PSBank or Metrobank ATM.

Albeit not completely free, the service is at a very minimal cost versus other domestic remittance platforms in the country. The catch is, they do not even require the recipient to have an existing account via PSBank. A perfect way to move the economy without alienating those who do not have bank accounts with them or elsewhere.

You may download the PSBank Mobile App on the App Store of Google Play. If you’re already registered to the service, simply click on the “Pa-Send” option, choose the account where your money is coming from, indicate the amount to be sent, nominate a pin for the specific Pa-Send request and the person’s Full Name and Phone Number. It will be validated by the bank and send a second pin for the recipient. You would then need to communicate the first pin so he could go to a PSBank or Metrobank ATM to get the cash via PaSend/Cardless Withdrawal option. If the amount is withdrawn, an automatic email/SMS will be sent to you to make sure they’ve got it already. These layers of security are so assuring!

Note: you can only send from Php 200 to Php 5,000 and only in a specific amount of time. PSBank’s Senior Vice President and Marketing Head Mr. Noel Tuazon says “There are about 77% of Filipinos who still do not have a bank account. The PaSend service hopes to address the growing need for low-cost cash remittance without the need for an existing deposit account. This is our way of making true to our brand promise of keeping things “simple and maaasahan”.

The PaSend service is just one of the various digital initiatives of PSBank. You should try it out for size and become a part of the digital economy. You can use it to gain a broad range of economic activities that use digitized information as key factors for production and finance, especially for the micro businesses in the country.

7-11 Opens 2000th Store in the Philippines

Wednesday, March 08, 2017

Jose Paterno says "We have been doing this since 1984, I think our 1500th store is in Cagayan De Oro and some in Visays because we are expanding in the other islands and we want to concentrate back here and so we're coming back where we started. We're growing fastest in Mindanao, but the habits of the market evolved, and we have expanded our food servings like gourmet Filipino food and other things at CBD's and we have entered the digital age making Cliqq rewards exchanged points with products. In an emerging market we aim to be the physical gateway allowing banks to deputize in broadening financial aspects, quicker and more efficiently. There are ecommerce opportunities, expanding shelf space virtually. We are growing more this year. We now have 40 stores with that decor patterned with the ones in Taiwan. We are the ones who plead no contest to sari sari stores and we only want to sell those that are not sold on these stores to get people. We are expanding in the north as far as Ilocos, and down south in Naga (talking about Luzon) and we have to make sure to support them before we do open. It becomes viable now for testing grounds, for the market, so they put up plants here if it is viable."

Ena Williams SVP of Global Expansions Team 7-Eleven Inc. "We are the largest at 61,550 stores in 18 countries around the world. While our company is global, we remain to make our business adapt to the community. The level of the store growth is phenomenal. I would like to thank our franchisees and our employees for the things they do making this successful. What makes it so successful is that the Philippines was able to mark an unprecedented growth without compromising quality. It's a challenge but they have managed to do that at ease."

Congratulations 7-11! Can't wait to see you in my neighborhood soon!

7-Eleven Philippines Introduces City Blends

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

My #StatusItsComplicated pose LOL

What's your status?

The good people from 7-Eleven Philippines just wanted to ask you that question. It just happened to be a little near Valentine's day so it kinda feels a little awkward, but don't worry because it's just coffee.

They call this CITY BLENDS. When you're already tired from that over hyped, over priced and over fancy coffee, 7-Eleven Philippines just did it simply wonderful. It dawned on them that the real successful way to sell this product is by keeping it real. They want it simple, cutting slack of bringing you that same journey of bean to cup. They found the best machine for the job and set it inside selected stores in the metro. Their goal is to have this whole experience available for everyone in 700 stores within the year. A feat so great, they're challenging themselves to get you all these at a very affordable price, in cups that specifically reflect the season too.

Whether you're Single, Taken or Complicated this Valentines day, you have the choice to show your own status and get the best bang for the buck cup of coffee from their stores. You think I'm joking?

It's honest, yes, it's honest to goodness coffee in a cup. It's also easy to brew it yourself too because you basically just need to place the cup and press one button to enjoy this beverage. Check out our video below!

Aside from enjoying this coffee, I don't have to spend 180 pesos to get one. It only costs as low as 20 pesos for fresh, real coffee. Isn't that neat?

Executives from 7-Eleven Philippines say that this is just the beginning. They have more plans lined up for this new brand of coffee from their stores and it'll reach other branches real soon. Now, there's no more excuse, there's no more complaints to utter when all you want to have us just a cup of coffee. Best of all, it's easy to get it in 7-Eleven, the Philippines' number one 24 hour convenience store.
