POKWANG Turns Mishaps into Shining Life Lessons

One of the most hard working actresses I've seen in the Philippine showbiz industry is comedienne Pokwang. Her impeccable timing, punchlines and knack for fun in every scene is just super entertaining and with that, she's gotten roles left and right, but not forgetting how to save up and invest in some jewelry pieces which she loves and hope to keep for a lifetime.

In a recent YouTube guesting she did at the channel of Ms. Charo Cordial (YT: @Maddox_Jewelry) she personally went to their showroom in 1011 JP Rizal in Concepcion Uno in Marikina City, she shared how she lost not just jewelry but also an expensive watch when she was told to remove it from her wrist during a scene, and ended not knowing who got it from her because she was in a hurry to finish takes for the day. That cost her 350k, shrugged it off and just charged to experience. This didn't stop her from still getting and collecting more pieces which she does often via Maddox. She treats them more than just an entrepreneur, but trust them even with her personal pieces and sell them sometimes. She also gets tons of orders of her personal gourmet products as Ms. Charo loves em too!

People love Ms. Charo and had been well known for sourcing well designed, and properly priced jewelry. Her clientele includes several celebrities who've trusted getting their pieces from her, from the store or online via FB live streams which she often does. She also does vlogs and talk to them about their personal lives, raw and authentic too. 

This episode with Ms. Pokwang is still getting traction as people are very interested about how she turns her experience to something positive, and how she dealt with the hate she gets online on some instances. MADDOX Jewelry Holds First Fashion Show in Marikina City

Madame Charo Codial was always thinking of ways how every Filipino would be able to afford real diamonds and jewelry. She's been the go to source for these precious gems,gold and diamonds. With her success, she's been raring to hold a fashion show to showcase the beautiful rings, necklaces and tiaras that the brand MADDOX holds. We saw that and more last December 4 in Marikina City.

 

There were a lot of celebrities who came and joined the show. The reason being, they're legitimate customers of MADDOX Jewelry and have enjoyed their purchases too. Aside from that, they had several foreign models to make sure the bracelets, rings, necklaces with diamonds were seen.

National Hog Festival 2024 Slated March 1st

When there's a party in the Philippines, there's nothing better than having the coveted LECHON on the table as it symbolizes wealth and abundance like no other. Filipinos have been so creative in the kitchen, and over the years have whipped up different dishes which are now staples in every home.

This year, the National Federation of Hog Farmers, Inc. is doing a National Pig Day Celebration.To make things extra special, they are going to attempt a Guinness World Record for the most number of pork dishes to be displayed and be served to attendees and guests afterwards. This is a tall order, but definitely possible. This will happen on March 1st, and this will start off the whole 5 day festival in both Cubao in Quezon City and in Markina Convention Center.

Activities will be done at Novetel Hotel and Gateway Mall (during the first 3 days), then will culminate at the Backyard Congress in Marikina Convention Center in March 4 and 5.

According to Vice Chairman Alfred Ng of the National Federation of Hog Farmers, Inc. wants to promote the efforts of the local agricultural sector in helping achieve the food security, safety and sovereignty goals of the country. They also want this to also help in boosting the tourism industry as they get to highlight some of the country's best dishes. They also want this to be the venue for both the hog raisers and different institutions to network with some of the largest hotels and restaurants to hopefully source it sustainably and not have imported pork for much of their supplies. Quezon City is certainly the perfect venue for this as the LGU's would also want to ensure that every creative dish made is all hygienic and follows strict protocols from start to end.

Make sure to be there when it happens on March 1-5, first in Novotel then to Marikina City's Marikina Convention Center. See you there!
