Saturday, May 10, 2025

In case you are looking for places to eat during Mothers Day, here's a little guide for those who prefer the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

There's Italian American comfort food, coffee and pizza at Prologue, some Korean BBQ you can cook ala minute at Maple Tree House, proteins at Yappari Steak, Spanish tapas and wine at Barcino, food from around the world at One World Deli, and the lovely, fresh Italian cuisine at Cibo. SM Mall of Asia will all have this at the installation they have for Grand MOA Hotel at the Grand MOA Fair tomorrow so if you are up for a stroll around the mall, go get your food and drink fix at different places inside the sprawling property and make those memories again with the best woman in the world, your MOM!

There are tons more to look forward to in restaurants and events in the mall on this day, so make Mother's Day even more special at one of the biggest malls in the world, SM Mall of Asia! Follow their social channels for more recommendations.

Say I LOVE YOU to your mom of course!

Celebrate Mothers Day with NOVA VILLA, CES QUESADA, FYANG and JM: "PICNIC" A Tagalized Korean Film Released by Nathan Studios

Wednesday, May 07, 2025

While the rest of the world is happening, there's this Korean film called PICNIC that's taking the theaters by storm. This is a film directed by Kim Yong-gyun and will be showing today (May 7th) in theaters nationwide.

We were at Gateway Mall last night to cover the premiere night, and the lobbies were filled with JMFyang fans and movie goers who were screaming on top of their lungs when they saw stars on the red carpet. We were able to record the media conference before the screening, so please enjoy!

The film is certainly a tear jerker. It revolves around the characters Eun-Sim played by Na Moon-hee (voice dubbed by Ms. Ces Quesada) and Jun Geum-soon played by Kim Young-ok (voice dubbed by Ms. Nova Villa) and their friend Tae-Ho played by Park Geun-hyung (voice by Kuya Bodjie Pascua). The younger version of Eun-Sim and Tae-Ho was dubbed by Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra.

They are a rowdy bunch despite the number of octogenarians included in the cast, and there's certainly no shortchanging of "landi" if you could say that out loud. Super happy about scenes where they were able to throw shade at each other. It didn't matter if their backs would hurt at each turn, they will tell you a spade is a spade even if it hurts your feelings, even if it means bringing back the past. The conversations were so amusing that when you're about to cry, they'll insert humor in between so you would giggle about the situation. I think this was clearly done that way to make sure it wouldn't be heavy and cerebral.

I super love the banter between Ms. Nova Villa and Ms. Ces Quesada. It was a good decision to provide Filipino dubbing for it as it felt a lot like home. No need to rush reading subtitles to understand the story because it could easily be understood in cinema audio. Should you watch it? DEFINITELY. I bet you'll find the story more apt for the children rather than for the Grandmas or Mothers involved in it. They'll learn a lot about how to go through the intricacies of love for family. It's a gem, and if you find KDramas so good for watching in the corners of your room, go do this in the cinemas because the experience hits certainly different.

Congratulations to CEO Ria Atayde and COO Ms. Sylvia Sanchez who knew right from the start that this would be a good thing to bring in Philippine shores.

Less Stress, Smart Washing and Caring for Mom with the TCL C20

Friday, May 12, 2023

Mothers Day is around the corner and I bet, you're already trying to rack your head thinking of what to give your Mom this year. After all, she took care of you since Day 1, fed you til you got so big and get yourself a job. Does your clothes smell nice? Chances are, your Mom washed your clothes right? She must have been working hard accomplishing tasks on her day job, breaking her back again at home putting food on the table, then either hand washing your clothes for a couple of hours. You want to make her life less stressful? Why not get her a new TCL C20 Front Load Wash Pro?

It's a pretty good investment. It's big as it's got 10.5 Kg capacity. You can also dry clothes up to 7 Kg. It uses a honeycomb crystal drum, does Air Wash, Steam Wash, Fast Washing, or opt for drying in low temperature. It also can do soft drying and is equipped with a safety lock so it's not going to be dangerous for kids and their apos. These days, they also need something that's energy efficient (with the high cost of electricity) and this one has a DD Inverter Motor in it, isn't that great?!

This TCL Washpro C20 also has a Dryna Heat Inverter, something so smart that it automatically adjusts the heat needed to dry your clothes. Best of all, you've got lower maintenance because it has a Drum Clean function which uses hot water inside to clean (after every wash) and make sure it cleans clothes thoroughly every time. It also scrubs each part of the textile because it's designed the honeycomb crystal drum that way. It's pretty tough on dirt, but still take care of the delicates. You'll also see less clothes bound for ironing as the steam puts less wrinkles on your shirts, pants, just about anything you put on the washer.

The TCL C20 Wash Pro certainly would be something your mom would love to see gift wrapped and all when she comes home from a long work day. If you want to know more about it, check out tcl.com/ph/en because there's a lot more information there. Ciao!
