Check out our walk-through of that exhibit!

Robinsons Hotels and Resorts Introduces 4 Keys To Ortigas Business District

Saturday, December 02, 2023

Ortigas has always been a place for business, and has thrived over the years. Change has always been happening in it, and the tourism, travel and hotel industry is part of that. Recently, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts showcased what you need to be here, not just for business, but bond with friends and family with 4 of their unique properties.

The Westin Manila just opened in March this year. Theirs is a property that is centered on wellness, and if you are up to it, staycations are highly encouraged. The holidays (and their Paskonstelasyon celebrations) are also going to be fun as they've got the Green and Bright theme executed in their offers. They have Holiday feasts for Lunch and Dinner, the famous Westin Holiday High Tea, several Holiday Hampers filled with Organic Food and sweet treats. They also have boutique pastries you can take home in your own home celebrations, plus their signature Rudolph The Reindeer Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse Cake which you can only get at the Westin Manila, or a mini version if you are cutting back on sweets. I love the ambiance there, with 303 rooms, function rooms and a ballroom, you would certainly love to stay there for the holidays. Soon to open are restaurants including a rooftop bar with a Spanish twist. Their GM Alexander Dietzsch would welcome you there!

Maybe this huge Sisig would convince you. GO stay at Ortigas' iconic hotels!

Their other property called GO Hotels and GO Hotels Plus have several offers for the holidays including 40% off on their various locations. They also have the new RHR Gift Card available in different denominations so you can give it to your friends and family as gifts too. With GO 24/7, you can check in anytime and check out of the hotel for a whole 24 hours after. You can also book in advanced via GO365, they also have people available online to answer your questions, now that's convenient!

If you've gone into a conference, meeting or stay in the Ortigas district, chances are, you've probably done them in Crowne Plaza or Holiday Inn. These icons have lots to offer especially during the holidays. Crowne Plaza's UNBOX activities plan to combine business and leisure. If you book a room with them, it might come with a special gift where you could get discounts in Xin Tian Di, 7 Corners Restaurant, more discounts on future stays, or even free ones on your next dates (which they raffle off). Go stay with them and Holiday Inn Manila Galleria during the New Year's eve as both hotels have a Countdown Party at special rates, with more surprises up their sleeves.

Pretty good showing over at Robinsons Hotels and Resorts, which I hope I'd get to personally stay at soon. Now you're informed.

Quezon City to Kick Off Business Investment Summit

Tuesday, October 04, 2022

Quezon City has been doing quite good despite of the current challenges of the economy. With the pandemic happening, the various complications we get from EU war, the higher US interest rates and inflation, it's hurting us most where it hurts. This has raised prices of essentials, making it difficult for ordinary pinoys to put food on the table.

Not gonna take it without a fight, the Quezon City Government is slated to do a Business Investment Summit with the theme "QC is Future Ready" slated October 7th at Novotel Manila in Araneta, Quezon City. This would be an event where they'd present to various stakeholders how the city has been able to achieve phenomenal "ease of doing business" levels despite the business challenges encountered by the local government unit. They will also be presenting the different initiatives they have planned and currently implementing.

There is more to see in QC!

This will also be the perfect venue to exchange views about programs and policies, with the aim of better managing LGU and private sector expectations, to help different sectors grow especially in Quezon City. Expected attendees include local and international investors, business leaders, government officials, various stakeholders. Mayor Joy Belmonte has put in reforms on her first term that has garnered 83 awards and recognition from different organizations. It is crucial that in the next few years, she would be able to address to bring more investments and help generate more jobs for her constituents as we all recover from recent years. Suffice to say, it's time to make Quezon City the paramount choice of building businesses. The city is benefiting from the automation and digitization efforts on services like registrations, assessments, tax payments which has been prioritized by the city. They also will continue with social services, the fight against corruption, educate and enhance skills of those who serve the people.

This is certainly a good step to an even better Quezon City, to make people feel progress especially at these very challenging times. It's time we take it to the next level!

Josiah’s Starts SARTIN at Summit Ridge Tagaytay

Wednesday, June 27, 2018

Cuba in Pasig, a posh night

Attended the Cuban themed event a couple of weeks ago. I felt Havana was a stones throw away from Pasig City as Josiah's Hospitality Management celebrates the forthcoming F&B operations management in Summit Ridge Tagaytay City. They call the place SARTIN of which is prolly a connotation from period english "certain", to minic in agreement or more. We got to try different drinks, authentic Filipino street favorites which they also put in their Josiah's twist.

Josiah's Catering has established themselves as one of the industry's best and has been the go to food service company in the Philippines for several years now. Not surprised as they've gotten the nods of food critics, celebrities, ordinary people because of their exceptional dedication to prepare food that's good, presentable, even world class. It's prolly the reason why they've taken strides to up the anté with Josiah's Hospitality Management, a subsidiary that is concentrated on hotel management and f&b operations, because they can.

With fellow bloggers at the Josiah’s catering event

As their CEO Fresh Versoza puts it, “Tagaytay has and always been a good location - it's certainly a great way for us to initiate our first F & B operations. With its picturesque views and cool climate, it's the perfect backdrop for what we see as a significant culinary destination. We want people to experience an exciting and delicious haven." the Josiah’s Catering, Inc. Executive said.

Everyday should feel like a holiday, these drinks got us in the mood

Shrimp for the lovers, breaded and fried for antipasti

Burned my tongue with these dynamites, just the way I like it

Chicken Skin, Chicharon Bulaklak and everything that’s good on the street

Boneless Roast Pig, unbelievably good!

Food and beverage wise, they deliver. The service that evening was equally good. Now if you’re expecting for anything less, that would mar what Josiah’s have been working for all these years. They are one of the industry leaders because they’ve done the legwork. If you are a property owner and want to be a part of their success, you may contact them through their website contact channels, they’ll be doing a good job for you too.

Host Jun Dumlao, Ms. Jill Miranda-Tan (Brand Director-Josiah’s Hospitality Management), Drixel Ortega (Operations Manager-Summit Ridge), Fresh Versoza (COO-Josiah’s), Monica de Ocampo-Casperino (Director for Sales - Summit Ridge) and Lisette Arena (Senior Marketing Manager-Summit Ridge).

We said they’re good with good reason, it’s what the Josiah’s brand is all about.
