Foundations Strengthen Efforts in Crisis Relief and Supports DSWD

Tuesday, July 29, 2025

While the country is being ravaged by storms, typhoons and monsoon rains, the CSR efforts of DigiP|us Interact!ve Corporation through their subsidiary B!ng0P|us Foundation are continuing to support the Department of Social Welfare and Development specifically the Crisis Intervention Unit in Quezon City. This includes provisioning furniture and logistical support to make sure their help gets to where it is needed in the locale and nearby cities.

This center in Paragon Place in Commonwealth was put up to take in those who need assistance from DSWD through their AICS and AKAP programs which gives financial help to those affected by natural disasters including these recent weather disturbances that have left a few homeless and need of aid. The foundations have supplied over 1034 chairs and 204 tables for use in these centers via their adopt a center program. They have long done these efforts and plan to continue in the coming years to make sure people get services when they need it most.

Generals, Officers Issue Manifesto of Support for Colonel ARIEL QUERUBIN PN (Marines)

Monday, July 08, 2024

I was among heroes this morning from the Marines, Philippine Navy, the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police, all servant warriors as they pledge their support for Coloner Ariel Querubin, the most bemedalled Filipino soldier in history (including the coveted Medal of Valor).

Aside from the call for solidarity and heroism, he, along with 2000 Generals and Officers from different branches of the military are now signifying their support for his bid in running for the Senate.

When Ariel Querubin went up on stage, he discussed how even the venue of the event was instrumental in the history of the country. That no matter how divided people may have been in the past few years, they were there all together to support him. Querubin knows how this time, they are there for their children, their families, and stand united for God and country. He also emphasized how important it is to address external and internal threats, as our sovereignty is on the line.

He is able and willing to serve, a man who's capabilities are now backed by thousands of officers in the military, of it's different branches... And if you want a warrior in the Senate who can spark change, perhaps you know who could do it after the remarkable recommendation of these men and women. The entire nation deserves a good one.

Why the hate on LTE-Advanced?

Thursday, April 14, 2016

List of Phones that currently support LTE-Advanced: Apple's iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, BlackBerry Priv, BlackBerry Passport, HTC One M9, HTC One A9, HTC 10, Huawei Ascend Mate 7, Mate S, Mate 8, Honor 6 (which I have on the photo YAY!), Honor 6 Plus, Nexus 6P, LG G Flex 2, G4, G5, Nexus 5X, V10, Moto X Style, Lumia 950, 950 XL, One Plus 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, Note Edge, Alpha, A5 (2016), A7 (2016), A8 (2016), S5, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, S7, S7 Edge, Sony Z3, Z4, Z5, Z5 Compact, Z5 Premium, Xperia X, X Performance, Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, Mi 5.

I understand the angst people are actually doing on their blogs these days but really, why the hate? Smart Communications just recently rolled out the LTE Advanced Mobile Technology in Boracay yesterday and all these bickering about it surfaced later in the day. The company is actually doing something great, it's a technology that isn't available yet in the Philippines and now that it is, I'd rather have it welcomed than marred early on.

Think about it, PLDT's wireless subsidiary is basically offering faster speeds with the usual LTE band using carrier aggregation. People are complaining about slow speeds for years and now that they've got it measured up to 250 Mbps, they're complaining again? We just made this world class technology that's available in Optus in Australia, Sprint in the US, and Turkcell in Turkey be here with Smart in the Philippines, so is that even something to complain about? It's not for every phone there is in the country as there are only a few LTE Advanced capable phones in the market now, technology isn't really cheap but having it be here alone should be celebrated rather than marred like that. I've worked with  some people from other telecommunications companies abroad and they're not as perfect as they seem to be. People  are clueless and think the ones in Australia (remember that telco that they wished was going to invest here?) were far better when in reality, I've heard horror stories from their users first hand too and they weren't as heavenly as they think.

The technology isn't cheap either and if you were in the shoes of the telco you would rather invest in technological advancements rather than existing ones. Smart made it better, you have bigger bandwidth, you've got faster data speeds and they still complain. Be happy with the new technology, learn to adapt and have the better disposition that it's finally here. Getting it doesn't mean they'll abandon 3G or previous bands, so it's a good thing they started it. So people, don't despair. There's bound to be more technologies out there coming to our country and it's not a bad thing. Did you say the same thing when we were all in 2G phones digging WAP in the past? I guess not. This cutting edge technology is part of their broader effort to service Sun and Smart subscribers, so don't spoil the party. There, I said it. Go take a chill pill.

SMART Sternly Supports Manny Pacquiao On Upcoming Fight!

Monday, April 06, 2015

It's almost a month before we see our very own Manny Pacquiao fight it out with bad boy Floyd Mayweather on May 3rd, 2015. He's currently training in L.A. with Coach Freddie Roach and Team Pacquiao so he could get into the best shape of his life once he gets to that ring and since most of us can't watch live in an overpriced arena, we should definitely get our support across the ocean and overpower his cohorts in social media, it's where we rule!

It's all over the internet today and I strongly suggest you do the same. Celebrities have been posting Instagram videos to show off their champion moves whenever and wherever they are in the Philippines. They put in hashtag #SugodManny in every post to show solidarity behind the man who's put us all on the boxing world map as he's the 8 division world champion beating very formidable fighters in the past. This is the time to take on what's ahead and support the man who's done it all for his family, his town, his province and the country.

I already did it the other day and I think I got the hang of it. Don't forget to tag as many friends as you want and thank the person who inspired you to participate. I was nominated by good looking GMA Artist Ken Chan the other day, now it's your turn!

Smart Communications knows how precious this moment is and they're putting out the guns to show how they would want to support Manny Pacquiao in this upcoming fight. A statement from their own Executive Vice President and Wireless Consumer Business Head Charles Lim states “Some boxers fight for personal glory, others fight for fortune. But since the beginning, Manny Pacquiao has also fought for his countrymen. Now, more than ever, we Filipinos should let him know that we are proud of him and are with him all the way.Manny Pacquiao is not just our national pride. He also serves as our inspiration to work hard and push our limits so the whole nation can "live more!"

Since you're being noble and all, Smart is going to be a little generous too by giving you a chance to win a real deal Manny Pacquiao autographed boxing gloves and shirts if you use the hashtag #SugodManny in all your Instagram posts that contain your very own champion moves! They've also gotten you a lot of perks to show blow by blow accounts of the fight to be shown on http://www.smart.com.ph/sugodmanny. Aside from that, if you're a postpaid or prepaid subscriber of Smart, Sun Cellular or Talk ‘N Text, you can watch the Pacquiao  - Mayweather fight, some of his training videos and short documentaries on your Android devices live without ads for just Php 499.00 which is going to be available for a limited time only through FrontSeat on the Viewstream app that you can download off Google Play. Some of it will also be shown on Smart's corporate Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/smartcorporate.

Smart will also be giving free Pacquiao stickers on the Pico Candy app that will work on Viber, Line and WeChat. This is "Internet For All" only from the biggest network in the Philippines, and that's Smart! Never forget the hashtag please! #SugodManny

Let's all do this as a nation. Let's make our presence felt in social media. Make Manny Pacquaio beat up not just the other guy in the ring but everybody else in these social channels. Find time to show your support as an online warrior, a man or woman, a Filipino. Let's all show them what we've got!
