Have You Tried Gentle Parenting?

Sunday, November 27, 2022

I haven't, but from the looks of it, it makes total sense.

Back in the day, the parenting style in the Philippines was perceived to be very strict, ultra conservative, very matriarchal, and include flying slippers and hangers every once in a while.

Not everyone knew that parenting actually can work even if we deal with kids and do parenting in a very calm demeanor. It's properly called gentle parenting. It involves respect, understanding, empathy and setting healthy boundaries, without taking away individual happiness which is extremely important for kids. The style would make them very confident and independent too.

When a kid does something bad, don't attack the person, but the action. Tell them how you feel, introduce another way to do it and ask them why it would be better. Ease in on why you think why his actions are wrong. It also pays to be a good example. Not only would they inherit your good looks, but your manners. If you are kind, respectful, they'll see how you walk the talk and become an inspiration for them. You'll be a person that they'd aspire to become especially your good traits.

You should also encourage his/her good actions. We're not here to just point out his bad side, we should always notice how good they were at school, how they help doing chores. It's the little things that make up a huge dent on their personality because that's how positive reinforcement works. Aside from that, make the habit of asking and supporting their dreams. Be it a cashier in the restaurant, a construction worker, a truck driver, a pilot or a doctor, this will make a huge difference in the long run as they develop independence and the value of education.

Although education seem to be a bit pricey these days, there's always AIA Philippines' Future Scholar. IT FOLDS: ASUS Announces Availability of Zenbook 17 Fold OLED Laptop

If you haven't seen it, then it's time you do. This is the new ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED laptop. This is the world's very first foldable ultra compact and light OLED laptop that can fit in 17.3 inch boxes and used in different modes. Absolutely stunning to see in person.

It utilizes it's huge 2560x1920 4:3 ratio foldable OLED touchscreen, Intel Core i7 1250OU processor, 16GB LPDDR5, 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, Intel Iris Xe Graphics loaded with Windows 11 Home OS and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2021 edition. It's pretty packed for something very light and amazing, I could imagine this being used by executives, content creators and just about anyone who is in the marketing field. It transforms the whole length into a screen so those presentations would certainly be covered if you get this new machine.

George Su the ASUS Philippines Country Manager says "We are excited to be here with you in person. Over 30 years ago ASUS started in a rooftop of an apartment and then went into manufacturing motherboards in Taiwan. ASUS ZENBOOK carries the design philosophy of over 30 years of innovation. The number 1 OLED laptop brand nationwide, we continue to push boundaries of creating a laptop. We consistently remodel the gaming arena and now we are the number 1 gaming brand in the Philippines and the world."

ASUS Expert Series is part of ASUS Business. This includ e the ZenBook, VivoBook, and today they introduced a lot of innovations including the world's first 17 inch OLED Laptop. It's got 6 modes of use and it would fit your lifestyle.

Kyle Hubo says "It is innovative, has Mobility and is setting new industry standards as the first OLED display that has got HDR OLED giving you blur free photos, videos, best in class colors, 70 percent less blue light , extreme contrast plus a quad speaker system. It is practical and reliable. You can use it on laptop mode, portrait mode, landscape mode tablet mode, reader mode, or others. If you want to share ideas, use the kick stand, unfold it for others to see. The 17.3 inch screen would be good especially on extended mode as you can work and watch without closing windows on full screen. The keyboard and touchpad knows when it's attached, so it would be easy to go in and out, switch devices just by pressing Bluetooth buttons on its keyboard. This is also military grade and is built to last. The Core i7, 4K display, and easy to charge via USB-C option will make this one of the most wanted products this year!"

The Glide X cross device screen sharing solution also works on this device. It's free and proprietary, so those photoshoots will certainly be easy for photographers or creative people.

They also showcased the new creator series and told us how it could make our content creation journey easier if you've got a powerful machine. Aside from that, they also announced new promos including a 23,000 worth of products and devices that would come free in every purchase of the ASUS Fold OLED, plus one from Home Credit wherein you can get the device at 0% interest in 12 months payment scheme. Albeit a little pricey, it's understandable because of the new technology we're seeing now. At Php 219,999, it's only going to be sold in the Philippines at 100 units. Things may run out fast so if you're interested, get it from the ASUS official website at asus.com/ph/laptops/for-home/all-series/zenbook-17-fold-oled-ux9702/

Glad to tell you about this :)

JL, Biogesic and Unilab for a Healthier Philippines

Saturday, November 26, 2022

The word "Ingat" resonated with so many Filipinos, more so during the pandemic as health suddenly became so much of a priority (for obvious reasons). Biogesic and Unilab recently reminded us that getting sick could actually affect anyone at anytime, and during these times... there should be "Alagang Walang Pinipili". The feeling and act of unconditional care for others has always been their call. Then on this day, they also renewed their ties with the main man, John Lloyd Cruz. When he looks at you and said "Ingat" with those eyes, things get better.

This time he's taking the point across to more Filipinos, together with that signature salute of his, he's going to communicate how it is to be in a state where there's "Alagang Walang Pinipili". He says "It's had not to feel the care and support of the people you work with at Unilab. They always want to know how you are, how you are doing, and ask you what you want to do. Now our connections get even deeper. Especially now on their 50th year!"

Unilab Corporate VP Alexander Panlilio adds "We believe in the care and quality healthcare we provide for every Filipino family.  Biogesic has always been synonymous with the "Ingat" tagline which John Lloyd does in our messages. This time we want to strengthen our connections with "Alagang Walang Pinipili" just like what he experienced with us at Unilab."

This is a commitment from Unilab and Biogesic. If you want to know more about their campaign, check out their YouTube channel via youtube.com/c/biogesicph.
