Marvel presents THE AVENGERS!

Last night was really nice. Nuffnang and PLDT hooked us up bigtime again in another long awaited treat via the movie THE AVENGERS! I got to see more than a hundred nuffies in one place again and if my memory serves me right this is already the third or fourth time Nuffnang did this for the community!

I met some wonderful bloggers there too!

The movie as anticipated was so good! This must be my third time to watch it but I never really can't get enough of it I'll watch it the fourth time this Saturday. The attendance last night was impressive and who wouldn't be if you saw throngs of bloggers like that in one place, amaaaazing!

Gorgeous people from Nuffnang Philippines. Thank you!

PLDT by the way also has a Payday sale going on so if u have a slower connection at home this is the time to upgrade that dsl line. Or if you don't have one yet, its time you do because you can save almost 5,000 pesos plus a wifi package so you can go wireless right in the comfort of your own home!

Thank you so much to Nuffnang Philippines and PLDT for a great movie, and great activity for the community! That's why I love you so much! :)
The placed was filled up in no time with Nuffies! =)

As for me, I'll have to continue playing with Captain America and Iron Man here. :)

The 1st Shakey's Junior Pizza Masters!

Thursday, April 26, 2012

JPM emailblast

When I was a kid I really wanted to work in a fast food chain but I thought they wouldn't hire me because I looked too rich or something to that effect. Even if I asked my folks they wouldn't really stop me because they want me to explore opportunities whilst I'm still young. I guess I have some more kids to envy now.

I heard SHAKEY'S is going to have Shakey's Junior Pizza Masters; for kids 7 to 12 years old they would be able to participate in this summer program for more of what this chain is famous for; fun, family and pizza. Imagine your kids getting their hands on those world renowned recipes while they make it right in your own home, wouldn't that be amazing? Well you can start them off getting trained by staff and crew of the actual restaurant. This will start on April 30 to May 8 and the training will be held at Shakey's Quezon Avenue. If you want to register as early as now please do so at the following venues:

Shakey's Eton
Shakey's Loyola
Shakey's Matalino
Shakey's North Edsa
Shakey's Tomas Morato
Shakey's Quezon Avenue

for fb and twitter posting

The goal here is to make them real deal pizza making masters and I'm sure after 7 days it'll be a life changing experience for the kids and you too. The training fee of P750 is already inclusive of a notebook, pen, apron, meal stubs for 7 days and a graduation shirt. This will all be culminated on a simple graduation ceremony on May 8 and there will also be a Dough-Tossing Demo from the first-ever batch of Shakey's Junior Pizza Masters plus lots of fun, games and surprises!

Let's do this! :)

4 DA BEST! The Repeat!

I just saw some of the most hilarious people in the world a few days ago whilst having lunch at Packo's in Sct. Esguerra QC. I must say I have been laughing non stop to their antics on TV shows and youtube videos of their respective concerts outside the country. It's been on the works for many years and true enough they have been able to consistently fill up huge venues when they did it the first time and now it's up to another dose of humor with Ms. K BROSAS, TSOKOLEIT, Ms. POKWANG and POOH in a grand showdown of fun and laughter at the Music Museum on May 4, 11, 12. It's entitled "4 DA BEST The Repeat" which is a run on their successful concert last March.

I got the chance to chat with them over lunch and they really were a rowdy bunch! They kinda know each other too much that their timing and comedy wouldn't be a problem because it's something innate. It's not something that is learned or scripted... its something that you are born with otherwise you wouldn't be an effective comedian says Ms. K Brosas. I've been following her on twitter and all her antics on the WAPAK na WAPAK Dear Teh video blogs as well. It was so nice to get to talk to them in a different light. Tsokoleit exuded so much fun but in hindsight he was this soft spoken person that always mentioned God in almost all his tweets. It's a totally different person that I was seeing that afternoon. It was a little off putting but I guess we are really different in cyberspace and in real life. It was really fun though to hear from them the small antics and talks in between when they suddenly burst into laughter. This bond seemed to be based on friendship and years of being together in the scene. When asked about Vice Ganda and what they felt about his success and all, they both said so many nice things about Vice and didn't think about envy like what other people say. They know Vice from way back and they are so happy about his success too. Isn't that so nice to hear from them? So humble.

I got to also ask some questions about their love life but they are happily single. Ms. K Brosas was so proud of her daughter too who is taking the path of being a beauty queen. Who wouldn't if you've got genes like Ms. K right? She's so pretty! =) though she lambasted her a bit about her humor. She can do everything else but crack a corny joke =)

They say this will be four times (No, make that 8 times!) the FUN, HAPPINESS and LAUGHTER so make sure you get those tickets and watch this once in a lifetime show by famed Director/Producer Andrew De Real via Anime Entertainment. Reserve by calling SM TICKETS 4702222 or Ticketworld at 8919999. Ticket prices start from 2750, 1980 and 1100. If you want something fun to do on weekends this might be the perfect date activity for you and your loved ones!

Need I say more? Capisce?! =)

Lending a Hand and More Money Matters

Wednesday, April 25, 2012

It's so hard to earn a dollar or two these days that most of us actually live from pay check to pay check. I have seen friends literally ask for money from their other friends and still haven't been able to cope up with the economy making each passing day a burden for added interests and more loans to pay for previous ones. It's sad that these friends charge way more than banks do. Good thing I saw Blue Global Media on line. They've got some of the most impressive rates I've ever seen in the industry. You should probably take a look at what they offer.

I may have been successful in managing finances these days but I have friends who need a loan or two to at least survive the economic conditions we're in right now. Looking at their folio it looks like they even are one of the top affiliate networks in the US and UK. I'm not surprised though because they've got what most institutions don't have and that's a track record that speaks for itself. I wonder if I'd be able to avail this later. The funny thing is while I'm typing this, a friend just popped in and asked for a loan. I might as well give them the information that they need.

I'll check on them later if they have resolved their problems. I know there are a lot of people who need the extra money out there. I'm glad to see some institutions could lend a hand when some are in need. I'll ask them to probably avail of the cash advance affiliate program if they haven't been able to get their salary yet. It's the best thing to do.

The Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars!

DSC_0011

The PBA has been the undisputed number one professional league in the Philippines and probably carries this title also in Southeast Asia. No matter how much they are succeeding in the Philippines and this region, they continue to fight for one thing in particular. It's the thing that they are good at which in this case is Basketball. I remember the time they were holding summer clinics for underprivileged kids/athletes in the metro via Coca Cola Hoopla, but now they are partnering with PBA on this task and dubbing it as the Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars! Coca-Cola knows that the PBA is the right agency to hold grassroots programs since they are the authority when basketball is concerned in the country.

DSC_0002

To fill them with love and happiness that they deserve, plus education and camaraderie through sports, they will certainly achieve more if they tie up with institutions like the PBA. In the Philippines, every corner of every street probably has a basketball court and the love, passion for it is unquestionable. Dreaming to play for a professional basketball team is in every mind of a Filipino kid. Commissioner Chito Salud and Powerade Team Governor Mr. Ronnie Asuncion signed a 3 year MOA for Coca-Cola PBA Youngstars league. This will entail youth ages 13 to 16 years old to join the said competition and hold separate regional events throughout the country. Try outs are now currently scheduled with an estimated 3 localities in each region. An estimated 1,500 players this summer will pit against each other and end via a National Finals Game slated May 27, 2012. The tournament will officially open May 2, 2012.

“We are very grateful for this opportunity to reach out to the Filipino youth in collaboration with the country’s premier sports organization. Through the Coca-Cola PBA Young Stars League, we will be able to directly share in the PBA’s vision of encouraging the Filipino youth to become good citizens through sportsmanship, honesty and integrity,” said Powerade Team Governor Ronnie Asuncion.

The Powerade Tigers will also be doing some appearances. PBA will solely handle the league but Coke will  be the sole sponsor, they have started April 21 to April 30 for the tryouts. This is in part of Coca Cola's 100 years celebration in the Philippines.

Although Coke's Hoopla and Batang PBA programs will be gone, this new grassroots program will be integrated to their initiatives. Players will be coming from all over the Philippines. In the Nationals there will be only 2 teams left from NCR, then 1 each from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. This is a long term partnership thrust of the two entities to promote healthy, active living to the youth; as well as build values of sportsmanship, honesty and integrity. Congratulations to the Philippine Basketball League and Coca Cola for this wonderful project!

Jason Mraz: Love is a Four Letter Word

Tuesday, April 24, 2012

jmraz

Jason Mraz, aside from being good looking and of course being successful in his previous albums is a Grammy award winner and songwriter that has outstanding album sales plus record breaking singles, all of which happened in just a couple of years. In the Philippines he has swooned ladies with his hits like Make it Mine, Lucky and of course I'm Yours! This is the only song that has topped the charts for a whopping 76 weeks making it the choice to be the Song of The Year way back 2010. It also earned him 2 grammy wins last year, something that artists or songwriters wouldn't be able to fathom but he was able to do it just in a couple of years!

Now he's releasing a new album properly entitled "Love Is A Four Letter Word" that talks about the ups and downs of relationships put into songs. It's one thing to experience it but its another thing to actually have these in his album. See how he puts the twists and turns into your heart, making it cry, making it playful sometimes but ultimately learning from the experience and eventually seeing something optimistic if it didn't turn out quite well. Jason Mraz is truly an artist in a whole other level. If there's one thing he'd suggest you to do, it's to get his album. Make sure you visit your favorite record bars and grab one of those CD's with Love Is A Four Letter Word printed on it! It's got lots of tracks that his current fans and new ones will absolutely adore! I don't need to convince you really, right?
