Commitment to Education: Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025

While we're busy with the elections here in the Philippines, the folks from Acer are reiterating their commitment to education via their Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025 held in Bangkok Thailand. This happened last May 7th and 8th with the theme "Shaping Tomorrow: AI and Digital Technologies in Education", something that brings delegates from Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand and our very own Philippines. They participated in discussions about the role of artificial intelligence in honing minds in the region and digitalization. 

It's a venue to give folks from the education sector information about the difference of putting tech into education. As it is, Acer has a whole ecosystem of AI powered devices to help with education and teaching . Together with their partners from Google, Microsoft Windows, Intel, Aopen, SpatialLabs, Predator Gaming, they also gave a rundown on how to use ESports in the education sector specifically with the Altos BrainSphere R680 F7 and Altos BrainSphere R880 F7.

SB19's MINTYLADORSES Come Alive with Acerpure Cozy HF1

Acer's Home appliance arm Acerpure just made a remarkable idea come true specifically SB19's MINTYLADORSES through a special edition model of their Acerpure Cozy HF1 which they mentioned during Christmas on YouTube.

It's handheld, has 100 speed, pretty easy to carry around so you can show it off to fellow A'Tins. It also comes in a box with their faces on it, plus a few stickers, sketchpad and a lanyard so you can wear them proud in concerts or just about any occasion. Acer Leads PH Laptop Market

Seen this coming, but now it's confirmed. Acer is officially the leading consumer and gaming notebook brand in the Philippines. With over 35.7% of the market share according to GfK, they are lading in the consumer notebooks with 34.2% and gaming notebooks with 40.6% market share. This is huge, imagine having one in three of the laptops here in the country!

I guess this stems mostly on how they kept the costs down, often having best of value offers and endorsers like girl group G22 and PPOP Kings SB19. They also have the annual Predator League that is participated by a lot of ESports teams here and around the region. Epic Celebration at #AcerAtingPasko with Kings SB19 and Ladies from G22

We had so much fun at the #AcerAtingPasko event at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall a few days ago. Thousands of fans, media partners and onlookers took time out to celebrate Christmas with the PPOP Kings SB19 and the fabulous and talented ladies of G22. Before the festivities, we were treated to Christmas songs by world class UP Madrigal Singers. 

At the event, they first showcased their newest products and announced their offers during the holidays including Php 5,000 off on premium Acer products (select models on laptops and projectors) and up to Php 10,000 worth of appliance center EGC's when you purchase select products from their stores this season. But from what I gathered it's all about the 2024 AI PC's they have specifically the Swift Go 14 AI and the CoPilot+ PC that it has in the system. It's going to make life easier especially if you're more of a creative or using them for office functions. The new laptop has better battery life than its previous models. That alone is something so good to see on the holiday sale.

 

Anyway, Bullets and A'Tins then had the time of their life when SB19 and G22 performed on stage and did several of their worldwide hits, no doubt, we could feel the screams from the same floor we were in and the bleachers. It was deafening, and we're not surprised. They were ultra talented, good looking and knew it was time to treat their fans with their music! SB19, Sandara Park, G22 + More Artists Made Acer Day 2024 Epic!

 

I think I'm still trying to recover from the recent Acer Day 2024 celebration at the Mall of Asia Arena. Seeing some of the country's brightest stars, singers, performers in one stage must have been impossible at one point, but Acer Philippines made it happen.

It was like a dream, seeing Cup of Joe dish out several trendy songs, TJ Monterde singing some of his hits, Ebe Dancel also doing some heartfelt numbers, and Rico Blanco taking the performance level to even greater heights, it was just amazing!

Seeing them this time, I now know who my bias is and yes, it's Felip! His vocals are unique and deep, which I absolutely felt so crazy about. ACER's foray into home and aiot devices through child brand acerpure just had a showcase of their products at Glorietta 4 in Makati City.

Endorsed by the Pambansang Krungkrung ng Pilipinas and KPOP Sensation from 2ne1 Sandara Park, we had a glimpse of the new acerpure air purifier pro P2, acerpure Cozy F1, acerpure cordless vacuum, acerpure clean, acerpure cool C2, and a whole enchilada of home appliances that would make your home a bit more technologically advanced. 

 

It was fun because they had a few improv performers to entertain us first at the event. We also played a few games wherein we had to spot a few germ characters amidst a nice home set at the Glorietta activity center.

Acerpure Cozy F1 and F2 has a modern design, very efficient air circulator. It's also energy efficient so you get less electrical expense for your home as it uses a DC motor. It's got an adjustable stand, very versatile and comes in a few colors.

The acerpure P2 classic is a 2 in 1 air circulator and air purifier. It does what it says as it circulates air and cleans it. So does the acerpure C2, and also has less energy consumption. Portability and Performance with the Acer Swift Edge 16

Looks like Acer is on a roll as they recently announce the release of a new Swift Edge 16 in Manila, boasting portability and performance all in one. It's a given in previous Swift models that it can be a good companion for work, education and a little play, but what makes this a good thing to buy especially these days when applications need more than the usual computing power?

Processor wise, it's got an AMD Ryzen 7040, plus a AMD Radeon 780M graphics card that can do much of the job. Otherwise, they put in a AMD Radeon 780M graphics and AMD Ryzen AI if they elect a different processor. In case you need to grab and go, or travel while working, it'll be possible to do things without worrying you'll run out of batteries in transit. ACER Continues Sustainable Path: Puts More Power to Devices and Use Less Energy

Just got off the ACER Global Press conference this evening.

A few things were discussed, one of them is the power of AI and how it could power things that are done today. From security, power, safety, medical use and new innovations like eKinekt and sustainability. They plan to use 100 percent sustainable materials in their supply chain in making and packaging their products.

Acer's Robin Wu introduced "ebii", an AI driven bike that is both safe and smart. With it's minimalistic design, flat free tires, and smart device that can provide real time data, and also help to make your ride efficient. It's got a fast charging battery, and can be monitored when you park your bike. It also has a rear collision alert, handlebar bag, an all day bike with less carbon footprint.

Maki Nakamura on the other hand started on their Vero lineup. The Acerpure Pro Vero is packaged in eco friendly materials, and can improve air quality with decreased power consumption over time. Aside from that, they also have Acer Vero Laptops like the Aspire Vero 15 which has 40 percent PCR on chasis, reducing CO2 emissions using 30 percent used plastic on its body. With the 13th Gen Intel Core processor, Intel Evo certified, 12 hours battery life, and a 15.6 inch display. It's also equipped with a 1440p webcam, so you won't look digitized on those Zoom meetings. It's also got Eco Mode to save on batteries, sufficient and fast ports, plus available in different colorways, it looked good from where we saw it.Packaging was made from 90 percent recycled material, 53 percent less water used on it, and still tough by undergoing rigorous tests. They also have the ACER Vero projector PL3510ATV, has a DLP chip, 50% energy saving capability and is brighter than most videos. You can also use an android TV dongle so you can use Google Play apps, the usual            smart projectors need not be expensive with it. They also said this can work 24/7, must be magic!

On their ACER Predator gaming products, they want to push the envelope. The Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition has a 13th Gen Intel Core i9, runs on Win11, and Game Pass from XBox. Those games can be played right away. It will be part of the Predator lineup out of the box, plus the titles they have which can take advantage of the resolution their machines can do. You can also use profiles for your 3D settings, so you can immerse yourself in that game like never before. They still have the classics don't worry, and have new titles published fast every time. Even game devs of Octopath Traveler 2 was there to swear by it.

There's also the Helios Neo 16, with a well designed aluminum cover, GeForce RTX40 graphics card, NVIDIA knows this is their largest jump so far in technology. Those rendering, graphic design would be more detailed with what they have, so imagine what they can do in gaming while keeping it cool and quite still. It's custom cooling solutions keep your laptop in best temperature even in high performance games. Not only that, it can turn heads.

There's also Triton 17X that carries a GeForce RTX 4090 and the latest gen i9 intel processor, it's powered by the most advanced core enabling the ultimate experience in laptop gaming. It's been used in a pro gaming tourney already and plans to push boundaries in the next few years. It's also got a CNC milled body, grills on the side, triple fan and a vapor chamber, heat won't be much of a problem. It's portable, well designed and can perform well. There's lslo a Nitro XZ452CU V which is a ultra-wide monitor, so those multiple windows can just loiter around and still look fancy in it. It deserves its own spot on your office or living room, it's that good. There's also the Predator Orion X that has a LOT of power, we're talking about 24 cores, gaming, multi tasking, streaming, DDR5 RAM and swappable drives, imaging the things you can do with games and work. No compromise on performance, has it's own cooling system and a well designed tower that fit everything on top of your table. That's power, performance and design. I want it personally.

To see what they're offering this year, we listened in to the #NextAtAcer 2023 Global Conference which they streamed at their FB page and YouTube channel. Aside from their recent environmental efforts which has been quite successful in the past few years, this year, they strengthen their goals for sustainability in 2035. It looks like school season is back and with that, we've got to have inspiration to make the youth study further, so the good looking guys of SB19 obliged and made the afternoon extra fun as Acer Philippines and Adidas partner up to bring the A game this season. When you feel that businesses are on a slump, you sit and wonder why others are thriving. Acer Philippines just opened up their flagship store at the SM Megamall Cyberzone in Mandaluyong City. This place is sprawling with everything tech and I've heard the growth in the consumer laptop industry has bee huge for Acer, I'm not surprised - as people have been looking for things that they can use for home office and online school, and Acer presents a pretty affordable line of laptop computers too.

The Acer Philippines Flagship store also houses a section dedicated to Predator, their gaming laptop computer brand which is used by countless serious gamers here and abroad. They're also displaying the latest models so people can get an idea how it works and perform with heavy graphics. I bet they have the Predator 15 there which I was eyeing a couple months back.
