Elegance, Refinement and Timeless Beauty. These are some of the words that were lingering that afternoon when we went to the Karat World event at CAV in BGC. Karat World has been able to transcend the norms of the jewelry business by bringing in more intricate designs, thinking of consumers and making each of their products affordable by the masses. For a company made to become something that makes luxurious pieces of fine jewelry, it's not that normal to be in the price points they put in on them. Oh yes! She's the new endorser of Karat World, the one, the only Gretchen Barretto. She was so glad she got introduced to the family that's running Karat World. Beyond the endorsement, she wanted to have a genuine relationship with them because they have been truly good to her. The photoshoot which happened a few weeks before this endorsement only spelled how understanding they were when she cancelled it the first time because of family matters. That meant a lot, the understanding that they gave her, even shooting on a Sunday where employees were supposed to take rest... she appreciated that a lot and how courtesy was still given to her. Now, she's going to make sure to promote the brand even better as they embark on Karat World's journey to greater heights as they celebrate their 20th Year in the business!

Gretchen says "You don't really need expensive things to look classy. I love the pieces I got from Karat world especially the earrings and bracelets I've seen in the shoot. My pants are from a local store and my top is expensive (then we laughed), but everything looks "sosyal" on me effortlessly. You don't have to buy expensive jewelry because at the end of the day, it's how you carry it." which I totally agree with.

She also goes on saying "Thank you" to the family that owns and manages Karat World, and thanks them as well for treating her like family. When we got an invite by Bench a few days ago, I was a little clueless about what the buzz was all about. A new product seems to be in the works and they were announcing it Friday. Bench/ is home for me so I visited the place and had myself settled in a dreamy white room filled with media, Bench celebrities and executives. It was indeed a wonderful white night!

Sam is into production (even at a very young age) so if you often see some music festivals outside of Manila, she's probably part of that. Another lady appeared and I think I've seen her a couple times already. She's Dominique Cojuangco (daughter of Gretchen Barretto and Tony Boy Cojuangco) and she's apparently back in the Philippines for a few weeks. She already left Saturday to continue studies in London. She's been living quite independently and is enjoying being a normal person taking trips on tubes and seeing museums in that city. She says she enjoys life there but terribly misses Manila which is still home. Proud Mum, Aunt and cousins were in the audience and made sure they rooted for her. Bench x Ronnie Salvacion - 25 Things I Learned From My Bench Shoots - An Art Installation

Ronnie Salvacion has been working for Bench for years. One day, he gave Mr. Ben Chan a simple gift... it was a collage of photos from the past Bench photo shoots that he did which included some of the local and international stars that have been with Bench for the past 25 years. 

It was so touching that Mr. Ben Chan made it into a book, and got it printed as is. Aside from that, a whole exhibit cum art installation was also done at the Basement of the new posh Bench Tower. I've been so blessed to have been invited during the Lee Min Ho presscon, and this event came after that. Simply, it was nostalgic looking at these photos.. let alone the celebrities that were there too to witness the occasion.

Julia Barretto Stars In This Week's Maalaala Mo Kaya!

She arrived in the conference room of Star Cinema exuding with confidence and a very optimistic demeanor. I watched her being launched in StarMagic batch 2013 together with other promising teens; and seen how much the public has adored her. She belongs to a line of actresses who has graced Philippine cinema which we know had that distinct Barretto look. Gorgeous as her Mom, Aunts, sisters and cousins, she is definitely Bestined for stardom. She is taking it bit by bit and I think she is going to get it really BIG. 

She answered all our questions without spilling some of the things to be shown in this week's episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya. She knows she has a lot to prove just to be considered as part of MMK because she has watched a lot of episodes from this program. From award winning actors and actresses, she knows how important this is to at least be in the likes of them so she did the legwork. She has done so many workshops and she hopes to bring this all on the table when you see the episode on Saturday. 

She doesn't mind to be paired with anyone in TV or in Film but she wishes to work with John Lloyd Cruz. She also admitted that among the young stars, Julian Estrada is really the closest. She knows she might be getting suitors pretty soon but she has her priorities. She wants to work hard for her craft and still finish her studies and she's glad that she is doing so fine at St. Paul. When she gets to see bad remarks on her performance this week, she said she'll take it like a grain of salt. She'll accept those which are going to help her be better at her craft and weed out those that are just plain bashing. It's normal she says but she'll do her best in any program that ABS CBN trusts her to do.

Mom Marjorie didn't actually have anything to say when she got this role. She just told her to pray about it and that's exactly what she did. All these blessings don't come to just anyone and she hopes this is the start of all the nice things that are planned for her. I laud her for being so humble, so smart, so pretty and so beautiful in a nutshell. She hopes all her fans and those that watch MMK this week be as hopeful and learn FORGIVENESS and giving SECOND CHANCES in this episode entitled "INIWAN".
