NADINE Together With Us Virtual Concert Slated June 28th

If you haven't been under a rock, you know June is PRIDE month. It is done to commemorate the Stonewall uprising, and now around the world as a protest to gather together, to push for equality of LGBTQIA+ members, and run against years of discrimination.

Fashion icon and pop star Nadine Lustre is a strong ally, and together with TaskUS, they're holding an online concert called "NADINE, Together With Us" on the TaskUs PH Facebook page. This will happen on June 28th, which is on Monday at 6:30PM.

This virtual concert is being staged for the benefit of displaced drag artists and elderly gays from Home for the Golden Gays Foundation, a non profit organization helping elderly gays have a place to stay. Nadine will also be performing with Philippine based drag queens Vinas DeLuxe, Lady Gagita and Andy Crocker. As you may already know, entertainment workers have been heavily affected since venues have been closed down because of the pandemic. Performers these days basically have nowhere to go. Aside from that, it's been hard for non profit organizations to gain funding since everyone is confined at homes. Nadine knows their plight and she says "I have always admired the level of artistry of Philippine drag queens. I know they spend hours just to put on a look and practice for one act. It's an art form. I'm sad that I don't get to see them perform these days because of the pandemic. We need to help them. I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, and to be part of this cause, to amplify their voices, I hope they could feel that they are loved and valued."

For those who don't know, TaskUS is a leading tech enabled business service company that does Digital CX, AI Operations, Content Security and Consulting. The company has always been a stalwart of LGBTQIA+ rights, keeping their workforce inclusive. James Reid for #DewIdol - Mountain Dew

He is blessed, he's got an illustrious career ahead of him and the love of his life by his side. People notice how he's worked hard for it, paid his dues and now his sacrifices are bearing fruit. International brand Mountain Dew just identified him as the new #DewIdol and consequently releasing a new beverage size with the same name. 

Mountain Dew also has released a new commercial seeing this good looking guy pay a man 10 pesos for the drink, forcing a few swashbuckling moves until he got his attention, he needed to do that because the hearthrob didn't know that this drink only costs Php 8.00. 

Unbelievable? Believe it! 

 Before the event even started, I was roaming around the event area and James was already going through the booths with his friends enjoying what seems to be an experience, of what a new Dew Idol should be. Ball in hand, he was already shooting hoops. Surprisingly he's good at it!

This is not a review but more of an observation and what to expect in the new JaDine movie Never Not Love You.

Hearing the word #JaDine alone would prolly make you think that it’s going to be all about milennial love, or run of the mill tweetums love story, but no. They met by circumstances, Gio and Joanne eventually went into names, then courtship, you really would feel they really liked each other.

They were struggling, Joanne an 8-5 employee, the other an artist. They are trying to find their “thing”, telling a story about their dreams, Joanne wants a dream job (very specific), while Gio just wants to be happy. It felt like they were trying to work on their lives from different sides of the spectrum. They matured, so this wouldn’t be appropriate for teenagers from the conversation alone, plus there are lots of kissing scenes left and right. Their work made them go places, that’s where London comes in. The trials of the long distance relationship wasn’t gonna be easy, that’s where it probably started going downhill. Who’s happiness were they going to find? Who’s going to be a priority? How much are you going to sacrifice for the one you love? Do you stay miserable while the other one lives a good life? What lengths would you go to just so you could keep them happy? Then ask themselves later on if they still love each other, after time has changed them, will that still hold true?

If you would want to know how they answer these questions, then it’s time to watch Never Not Love You. It’s shows on theatres nationwide. This is one heck of a matured JaDine movie you wouldn’t expect from them, albeit experimental you’ll love how it was put on screen. Yes you’ll see good looking James and Nadine, but you’ll also see Gio and Joanne go through life’s struggles, and the beauty of adulting. Ask theatre owners to show it because it’s one JaDine project you shouldn’t pass. This is their transition, you’ll love how they’ll play husband and wife. 

It’s a promise to hold if it still applies, to Never Not Love You.

James Reid and Nadine Lustre for Never Not Love You

It looks like James Reid and Nadine Lustre is back. Fresh from their highly successful concert in Smart Araneta Coliseum called JADINE REVOLUTION, they are doing it on the big screen with NEVER NOT LOVE YOU. The screenplay and direction is done by blockbuster maker Antoinette Jadaone and is produced by their mother studio Viva Films and newbie San Joaquin Projects.

JaDine is also taking you overseas with this one as most of it is shot in London in the UK. You know they’ve done quite good during On The Wings Of Love and on this one, you’ll see JaDine portray the role of Gio, who’s a graphic designer, and Joanne a Management Trainee. They’ll be telling a story with ups and downs, how they eventually fell apart and perhaps start a new one. They already have successful films in the past like Diary ng Panget, but judging from the trailer alone on Viva Films channel, this talks of more hurt, more intense conflicts, hoping in the end that their love survives.

James says “Our relationship is more matured. For me love helps me grow, it depends on the person you’re with. Remember we started out as friends so we really began with a foundation. This film will be a little bit matured and might not be watched by young ones because of the language. It’s experimental, it’s what Antoinette Jadaone wants to happen, it depends on where the lines would go. Gio is a go with the flow kind of guy, I know our fans will watch this movie, I am 100 percent sure. We want them to see something different, this will be more real, raw, we know how things happen now, it’ll all be a little bit fearless. I don’t see myself as a millennial, more like an old soul. Direk is very young, she asks us through improv so we had to collaborate. Next project for me is Pedro Penduko. Like in the movie, they had to be apart in order to grow.”

Nadine Lustre says “Love can be romantic, for friends and family, love that I get from them is just beautiful, I became a better person because of it. In this relationship I learned a lot, and I am treasuring that. I actually got sick when we shot in London and we were a bit pressed in time. We had actors, we got permits to shoot there. We also hired professionals for bit players and even shot organic. To be real. I guess relationships are different in every couple, ours is very open minded. It’s not much of an issue for us. This is not a series, what we say and do here will be forever. The difference is how we did it, most are done on improv so it’s different from our past projects. I’ll be doing The Nurse which is a suspense horror type of a project, so we’re doing a lot with separate projects after this.”

This movie NEVER NOT LOVE YOU will be shown on theatres starting Black Saturday, March 31, 2018. I bet this will be good, I know how much the JaDine Universe miss these two!

It's a story about two childhood sweethearts who ended up loving each other but never had a real relationship. They're also doing this with distance between them, but when things got complicated James' character suddenly wanted more.

James Reid and Nadine Lustre for Cherry Mobile

During the successful event of Cherry Mobile, one of the most applauded performers were of course the pair of James Reid and Nadine Lustre. I only have interviewed these two for blogcons and seen them perform during events from Smart. They are one of the most trusted endorsers out there and I think I know why they worked, there's something genuine between these two. 

Just like Cherry Mobile, Nadine Lustre and James Reid wasn't as popular as before they made the movie - that boosted them to stardom. Their fans have seen their value, both talented, can sing like recording stars, made blockbuster movies, and can act as lovers with their eyes closed. Add to that, they are good looking too.

After doing a solo number, James Reid came in to sing with her. I might not have gotten photos from that part, but hey, here's the video! My apologies for some ruined view because there were a LOT of people in front of me. Enjoy!
