MADDOX Holds Iconic DIAMOND Fashion Show: Learn From the Founder's Humble Beginnings

When I heard from the grapevine that Ms. Charo Cordial was holding a fashion show in posh EDSA Shangri-la, it would be epic. She sought the best fashion show director there is Robby Carmona, and a list of celebrities unprecedented, all of whom have been part of the growth of her diamond jewelry brand MADDOX.

Her success didn't come overnight, and we were treated to a very lovely interview and got to understand her humble beginnings. Imagine doing business during the pandemic, changing business models because of necessity, like fate and achieve success that she couldn't even imagine. She attributes this all from the people around her, who helped her with the business and also the clients who have given over and beyond the love for diamonds. 

Ms. Charo says "We are holding this fashion show to make sure Filipinos know that diamonds can be affordable, we have small margins but hope the Philippines becomes well known in the industry as a mecca for it. I'm so happy that even in international trade, they now know we love them and appreciate jewelry. I used to sell agricultural machinery, and people didn't know I'd land in this industry. I am a Bicolana, born and educated there. I went here for the board exam and worked for an international company. I only started selling jewelry during the pandemic. I sold bags, and it was so fun to talk to people. It was hard to ship them, so I looked for other things to sell and started with gold. Then diamonds later on. Maddox came from my son's name, named after Angelina Jolie's first born. Now people know us by that name. I am super happy, I didn't dream of this but talking to you now, I still can't believe it. I am so blessed, I could attribute it to my employees and friends, the people around me who helped me reach this."

She adds "Last year while doing vlogs, they had celebrity customers who also went to their shop. There's a lot of them, so you'll see them all at the show. The idea was made by Robbie Carmona, and icons are involved so you will see them all in different segments."

 

One pretty thing I learned from Ms. Charo was something she said before we went to see the show. She said "You have to love what you are doing, your employees, your customers and give them what they want. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, we all do, I also went bankrupt, in a different business, but I never gave up. It would have been nice to have a lot of artists here but it was hard to manage their schedules."

MAM ELMA Cries at MADDOX JEWELRY Visit: Is This About SER GEYBIN?

Social Media Vlogging royalty Mam Elma was found crying at the Maddox Jewelry showroom when she visited Ms. Charo Cordial in Marikina a few days ago. She's the long time girlfriend of Ser Geybin (aka Gavin Capinpin) and a former educator, who's also been in entertainment news recently. 

At Maddox Jewelry in Marikina, they pleasantly talked not about her personal life, but her dreams and how she shows her love for her family. Because Ms. Charo was easy to talk to, she opened up about how she wished to earn a doctorate degree in education and still make it successful in the content creation field. It's where she began to cry.

See, it was a very hard decision to actually leave her regular job as a teacher, more so because her parents were strongly against it. But she wanted to delve into content creation years ago, so she went ahead and did it. Even so, she plans to continue her studies so she had something to fall back on. She didn't want her family to worry. 

Mam Elma and Ms Charo also talked about her relationship with social media phenom Ser Geybin. Particularly the things they're enjoying before they begin thinking of getting married. It's a serious step and felt the need to still prioritize education as said by their parents.

Bonding Over Sparkles: KATRINA HALILI and Daughter Katie Graces MADDOX SHOWROOM of Charo Cordial

Looks like the who's who of YouTube, internet and showbiz are all converging in Marikina City to grace the MADDOX Showroom of D Maddox Jewelry CEO Ms. Charo Cordial. They must have been finding themselves stuck watching the streams of Maddox Jewelry on Facebook, YouTube and on TikTok. 

We couldn't blame them as they've been showcasing lovely pieces everyday and those sparkles (lovely diamonds) attract ladies naturally, no matter what age groups they belong to. Recently, celebrity Mom Katrina Halili was spotted at their showroom located at 1011 J.P. Rizal Street Concepcion Uno, Marikina City. She didn't come alone as they surprised Ms. Charo Cordial with her adorable daughter Katie (plus their Yaya too). Katie's eyes grew as she saw different gems and designs, as Ms. Katrina thought she'd love some for accessories. But they were surprised she uttered DIAMONDS when asked about what she would love to have. 

They also revealed in the vlog how Ms. Katrina didn't have tapings during the week, and it was Katie and their knack for creating content about their everyday life that is now sometimes spending for her. During the talk, Katrina revealed how several brands have shown they also adore their family, and their AUsome journey. They also candidly mentioned Ms. Katrina's love life, and kids how her ex RnB sensation Kris Lawrence participates in it. Then out of nowhere, Katie became attached to a beautiful necklace, will they get it?! You should go watch that vlog!

GARDO VERSOZA Makes Up For Past Woes with MADDOX Wedding Rings!

A more personal interview took center stage as Gardo Verzosa graces Maddox Jewelry at their showroom at 1011 JP Rizal Street at Concepcion Uno in Marikina City. This time, taking off the Cupcake persona and telling some small details of his Las Vegas wedding, and the few instances he fooled around during his younger years. 

Talking about the wedding, he firmly admitted how it was a bit sad seeing the rings they had to use for the occasion because it felt like it was something that looked like a chicken scratched it. Now, he's taking his time to really look at design, clarity, and how he could make this wedding ring better, so he could make up for what they had in that small white chapel. 

He even divulged how he was a bit naughty during those times because he was a serial dater, putting initials of other people's names on his personal calendar which his wife found out later on about. There was just obviously a pattern. MADDOX Jewelry President and CEO Ms. Charo Cordial attributed the discovery to a woman's intuition, and felt it was just right to say the games over on her vlog. 

For those who don't know, Ms. Charo is a licensed Agricultural Engineer who has made headway in a very male dominated space. She now has this brand and continues to be successful and a trusted brand in the jewelry industry. Gardo sees this as an inspiration and which is why he's trusting only the best to make that wedding band dream, a reality with MADDOX Jewelry.

TERESA LOYZAGA Has THIS Grievance with Maddox Jewelry

It looks like another iconic actress has been seen at the Maddox Jewelry grounds in Marikina City. She is the iconic actress Teresa Loyzaga. Maddox Jewelry is owned by businesswoman and entrepreneur Ms. Charo Cordial. Ms. Teresa Loyzaga though has one grievance, and it has reached them at the Marikina showroom.

Ms. Teresa Loyzaga has been long watching the previous online selling live streams of the brand and had the chance to say "mine" on some of the items, but apparently she doesn't get noticed during those streams. This didn't sit well with her at all, so she did the next best thing... she went directly to the Marikina Showroom located at AZDM Building JP Rizal Street in Marikina City. 

When she got there, she was a bit shocked to be personally attended to by Ms. Charo Cordial. Shortly, she got several pieces that she loved, quick, fast and efficient. She got a pair of earrings for her granddaughter (daughter of talented actor Diego Loyzaga). She laments how she's at a phase where she could invest in jewelry pieces as her child is already an adult. The talk between them was cordial and honest, including some small details on Diego's recovery. POKWANG Turns Mishaps into Shining Life Lessons

One of the most hard working actresses I've seen in the Philippine showbiz industry is comedienne Pokwang. Her impeccable timing, punchlines and knack for fun in every scene is just super entertaining and with that, she's gotten roles left and right, but not forgetting how to save up and invest in some jewelry pieces which she loves and hope to keep for a lifetime.

In a recent YouTube guesting she did at the channel of Ms. Charo Cordial (YT: @Maddox_Jewelry) she personally went to their showroom in 1011 JP Rizal in Concepcion Uno in Marikina City, she shared how she lost not just jewelry but also an expensive watch when she was told to remove it from her wrist during a scene, and ended not knowing who got it from her because she was in a hurry to finish takes for the day. That cost her 350k, shrugged it off and just charged to experience. This didn't stop her from still getting and collecting more pieces which she does often via Maddox. She treats them more than just an entrepreneur, but trust them even with her personal pieces and sell them sometimes. She also gets tons of orders of her personal gourmet products as Ms. Charo loves em too!

People love Ms. Charo and had been well known for sourcing well designed, and properly priced jewelry. Her clientele includes several celebrities who've trusted getting their pieces from her, from the store or online via FB live streams which she often does. She also does vlogs and talk to them about their personal lives, raw and authentic too.

MADDOX Jewelry Holds First Fashion Show in Marikina City

Madame Charo Codial was always thinking of ways how every Filipino would be able to afford real diamonds and jewelry. She's been the go to source for these precious gems,gold and diamonds. With her success, she's been raring to hold a fashion show to showcase the beautiful rings, necklaces and tiaras that the brand MADDOX holds. We saw that and more last December 4 in Marikina City.

 

There were a lot of celebrities who came and joined the show. The reason being, they're legitimate customers of MADDOX Jewelry and have enjoyed their purchases too. Aside from that, they had several foreign models to make sure the bracelets, rings, necklaces with diamonds were seen.

Shining Bright: CHARO CORDIAL and MADDOX JEWELRY

Took a trip way east to Marikina City to visit the physical showroom of Maddox Jewelry. We got to talk to Madame Charo Cordial, the viral online seller, entrepreneur and businesswoman who made her small venture into a gold and diamond empire that it is today. 

She had very humble beginnings. Brought up in a small town where farming was the premier industry, her parents had her take up Agricultural Engineering in college. During the pandemic, she just had the the opportunity to delve into jewelry (among her other passions), and that's where Maddox Jewelry started. When we met her, her demeanor was very warm and welcoming. With her fascination for all things gold, she got so busy these past few years garnering not only a huge clientele but celebrities, some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. The difference between her and the other online sellers is that she's got a physical showroom in Marikina (AZDM Building) where she conducts appointments for those who want to see the jewelry before they purchase it.

We asked her about making investments on jewelry and what is the best time to do it and she said "There's really no BEST time to do it but NOW. As you may know, gold value is increasing over the years and if you don't get it early, you won't see the value grow. I've seen several of my clients who purchased gold and diamond pieces in the past and in a few years, the value is now 5 times of what it was then."

She adds "Jewelry is not only for women, but men too. We have several pieces that are unisex especially the classic designed ones that can be worn by men or women. Aside from that, we have celebrities like Mark Herras who got earrings with diamonds in it. (Tried to find it on display but they said it's all sold out!) We have them in different colors. We have blue diamonds, green diamonds, something that would fit your personality. We'd gladly accommodate you here as we have people who could assist you to choose the right sparkle you need for your jewelry."

As you may have heard, her clients are mostly other jewelry sellers that source most of their wares from her. She also wished for a few A list celebrities to collaborate with her since she also does content on TikTok and Facebook. 

Her Facebook page is her only selling platform, and streams are regularly done live and deleted right after because most of the sales are done only during livestreams. If you're interested, go follow their page and watch out for schedules, it's mostly from 6pm to 12am and they're quite keen on helping entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. If you've been wanting to start your own collection, they have people to help you at their Marikina office. 

Their showroom is pretty full most of the time, it might be wise to ask for appointments through their contact numbers there. I'm off to buy a few very soon. Remember as she says, the time to invest in jewelry is now!
