Sparkle Artists Elle Villanueva, Sophia Senoron and Ysabel Ortega: Officially "Nailandia" Franchise Owners

Saturday, June 03, 2023

Self-care has never been more important especially after what we've all gone through these past few years. Ms. Noreen Divina often go to salons and spas to take care of her nails and well being. Her husband often joked about always seeing her in these establishments and said she should have built her own one instead of spending much for it weekly. This started her interest in this big business venture.

She knew her husband made sense, which is why she put in the legwork and started learning the ropes of doing and managing a nail salon. Aside from that, she also went to school and learned how to put up her own spas (it involves several courses and took them all) prior to building her own business. Putting her foot where her mouth is, she now even visits franchisees to do work for customers to this day; which at this day and age is quite admirable. To date, Nailandia now has several branches across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. There are also plans to put up more of these branches in other countries like UAE and the US pretty soon.

Nailandia is certainly growing. Some of her brand ambassadors like Sparkle Artists Elle Villanueva, Sophia Senoron and Ysabel Ortega (who initially were just sponsored with nail services as celebrities) took interest too and now; are full time franchise owners of the brand. They saw how important it was to take care of themselves and loved everything they did during an event. Today, they are officially building their branch at Tomas Morato's Il Terrazzo which would probably be done during the last quarter of this year.

Ms. Noreen loved how they saw value with their brand, and now these Sparkle Artists and Voltes V: Legacy stars will be a great addition to their stellar line of franchisees. She also says "I'm very thankful, to the Lord above for all these opportunities!"

They were also hit hard during the pandemic, but Ms. Noreen felt lucky that much of the branches were able to re-open with the care of franchise owners too. Despite hard times, they were also able to provide for their employees in their own way. They stopped royalty fees during that time too which they know would help businesses survive during a very difficult time.

Primetime Queen Marian Rivera-Dantes continues to be the brand's official endorser. They also attribute their success with her trust, and the people, franchisees and customers who believed in them all these years. Hope you see Nailandia in a different light when you hear this story.

ORLY Says Hi To Philippines

Friday, August 10, 2018

Missed this event but it doesn’t stop us from telling you about it.

I’m sure the ladies would appreciate something new, something about that one thing they go to salons for, it’s their nails. I received an invitation a couple weeks ago about ORLY, have you heard about them? I’m sure you do.

They are a nail care brand from LA, and just a few days ago started a campaign called “Strength in Color”, to which they recognised some extraORLYnary women in the Philippines to represent who they are in the industry, some pretty good ones in fact.

By the way, SprintAsia is the exclusive official distributor of ORLY in the Philippines. If you are into nail polish that’s  matte, gel or classic ones, ORLY is your best bet. They also have breathable types, animal cruelty free process, halal certified and some vegan types too. They have been doing this since 1975 so obviously they’ve got the experience to back them up.
They also showed us a thing or two about nail art and the advancements in this particular segment in nail care, they scoured the country and announced a winner that evening.

Tim Yap, Shaira Luna, Sanya Smith, Ornusa Cadness, SprintAsia General Manager Ms. Persie Torregoza, Ms. Georginna Desuasido, Ms. Soleil Ignacio, Ms. Abbey Sy, ORLY International Brand Ambassador Ms. Amy Oung, SprintAsia Vice President Ms. Jennifer Yap and SprintAsia President Mr. Paul Yap

Tim Yap hosted the talk with Abbey Sy, Soleil Ignacio, Georginna Desuasido, Sanya Smith, Ornusa Cadness and Shaira Luna. I guess they wanted the empowered women to represent them in the country, I couldn’t agree more.

You may purchase their products from Pure Beauty, online store ZALORA, also from Watsons, Landmark, Robinsons malls, Cash & Carry, ICM, PCX, Lazada and BeautyMNL. You may also directly get in touch with then in case you need a lot via SPRINT ASIA LOGISTICS, INC by calling +63922 8065633 or their email address b2b@sprintasiabeauty.com

Eu'Genia Shea: More Than Butter, A Way To Empower Women

Friday, April 14, 2017

We all have our own way of taking care of ourselves, but there's always some really good regimen we can do for skin, hair and just about any part of our extremities that can make it all better. I've been reflecting on it all day while in the bath tub. Men and women have seen the remarkable benefits of using skin care butters as it alleviates the problem of dry skin, hair, wrinkles, cracked lips, stretch marks, cracked heels and nails. I'm taking There is certainly nothing wrong with skin care butters like cocoa, but when you're looking for the ultimate nourishing and natural cream, shea butter is one of the finest products known to man. Packed with numerous antioxidants and vitamins like A and E, shea butter is very beneficial to the hair and skin. It takes care of everything from head to toe which would be beneficial for the entire family.

Unfortunately, not all shea butters are created equal. From source to methods, it really is different especially on how they extract the precious shea oil from shea nuts.

Luckily, the world has the Eu'Genia Shea company. It's a family run business with roots in Ghana and America. Mother and daughter embrace the generations and a long tradition of shea butter knowledge. They have long seen the superiority of raw, unrefined Ghanaian shea butter.

Harvard graduate Naa-Sakle Akuete launched the Eu'Genia brand in 2014, naming the shea butter line after her mother. In fact, Ms. Eu'Genia is the former president of the Global Shea Alliance, which includes some 400 members from 31 countries. In addition, Akuete's grandmother was a well-known mid-wife who used rich shea butter in her practice for years. Shea is healing, very nourishing and known for reducing stretch marks.

Eu'Genia Shea is a wonderful business filled with pride, self-empowerment and exceptional Ghanaian shea butter imported to America. The company's headquarters are based in Brooklyn, New York, and the gorgeous variety of shea butter products can be purchased through e-commerce at their website https://www.eugeniashea.com/. The luxurious shea butters are sold in three strengths, including Everyday Shea Butter, Pregnancy Strength Shea Butter and Dermatological Strength Shea Butter. Each butter comes filled in colorful tin containers and can also be purchased through a monthly subscription if desired.

Eu'Genia Shea butters are also in a quality class of their own. The brand uses at least 95% shea content, while their competitors use less than 25% shea. Another aspect that allows the Eu'Genia Shea company to stand out is the mission behind the brand and the compassion that goes with it. Akuete and her loved ones are strong on family values and social responsibility and have labored hard to ensure that rural Ghanaian women workers receive benefits and proper job security and employment opportunities.

Eu'Genia Shea has since established a co-op of female pickers in northern Ghana that provides sustainable wages and training to their employees. The family run enterprise also donates 15% of their profits back to the co-op in the form of an education fund.

It's an amazing way for Akuete to give back to her country, she says and to introduce people in America to the magical, natural goodness that shea butter has to offer.

That's just remarkable.

Pampered at La Belleza Hair and Nail Salon

Saturday, November 15, 2014

It's been a while since I got my hair worked on by the good people of La Belleza Hair and Nail Salon. I've been carrying bleached hair these past few weeks (as seen with Alice Dixson) and it has grown out a few inches already. I was trying to grow it out a bit so I'd have longer hair, and perhaps style it a bit later on. It turned out to be unruly because when my hair reaches this long, it tends to have a life on its own. Big curly hair that won't stay in place, yes I've got it all in the bag. Funny but if you were in my shoes, you'll shed a tear or two, or just have tantrums the whole day.

My stylist Cher Nogara asked me what I wanted to do with my hair. She knows I'm crazy when it comes to that and since I haven't gone red yet, I told her to do so that afternoon. The thing is I already had my hair bleached so I asked what would happen of we just covered it all and didn't bleach anymore (as it is a painful process). She figured since I had parts of it already white, it'll turn bright when doused with the red color we're planning. A two toned red? That sounded mighty fine by me so we went ahead and did it after a short shampoo.

While my color was processing, she suggested I get a foot scrub too. Now I don't do this on a regular basis so please don't shoot me, oh and don't squirm on the hairy legs because I'm a quarter Spanish (had to put in a lot of disclaimers) but it was real good. The minty, menthol on small bowls you see ended up in the water used to soften my feet. I got a fruity scrub too which smelled like strawberries, something to exfoliate the skin during the massage I got in the calves - and that got it dreamy. They hit it right in the spot where it was hurting when I walked so it was super duper good!

They then covered me in mud that had eucalyptus tones on it, it was so cold. It was the perfect way to end that bit but they started buffing my nails like clockwork so a pedicure ensued. Pampering while waiting for my color to take effect? I must say, this wasn't a bad idea. I should have been doing this a long time ago haha!

Now it's shiny! :) I also got colorless thingy on it so it'll last longer. So nice no?!

Cher and her team immediately got me rinsed, then they put in treatment on my hair so my hair would turn out relaxed and manageable. She then whipped up a dab or two of their imported wax (which you can purchase from the salon) and got me the hairstyle I always carried. It looked even better now that I have longer hair. A few hours in the salon never felt this good!

Now just look at my hair! :) Doesn't that just make you smile?!

I always get what I want when I drop by La Belleza Hair and Nail Salon. Thanks to Cher Nogara and their team for making me feel this good every time I step out of their salon. They are located at the 2nd Floor EK Building #50 Don Antonio II Holy Spirit Drive in Quezon City. Call them for appointments 09264563433 or 09231371547. They are open from 10am to 8pm and you can also just walk in. Why be boring when you can have hair this good right? 🐮

The Philippines number one premium whitening brand Glutamax and Posh Nails has held a White Zumba Party to celebrate their brand's partnership. From now on, Glutamax products will be seen quite frequently in Posh Nails branches and they on the other hand will be dishing out Whitening Manicure+Pedicure Services that's Powered by Glutamax. Isn't that awesome? They promise to make your nails stain free, lighter, smoother and more youthful. Jusy ask their pretty endorsers Stephanie Sol from GMA and Alice Dixon of whom we saw that afternoon.

Turning Blue: La Belleza Hair and Nail Salon

Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Would you mind playing this video first?

You see, I haven't paid attention to my hair these past few days and got it to grow a bit longer than usual. Since it's a tad curly it went bonkers on me and went unruly. I looked like Einstein and I couldn't handle it anymore so I did the next best thing. I went back to La Belleza Hair and Nail Salon in #50 EK Building at Don Antonio Heights in Quezon City. It's quite near EVER Commonwealth and right before Jollibee in that area. My hair stylist Cher takes good care of me and doesn't limit my imagination when it comes to cut and color. After all, she's won awards for this and pretty much done the same for artists and celebrities from different stations. Now it's time for me.

My roots were already showing because of normal growth so they had to take care of that by bleaching. This is done so I could have the same shade of color later on. As always, I must say that bleaching is NOT for everybody. It is a little painful so you have to understand it's only for those that could withstand it. Aside from that, there are obvious risks but I trust them this much that I only do it when I'm with them. I've never ever been so glad.

After a short round of bleaching, they got my hair rinsed and blow dried. Now that it's already in the same shade, it's time for color! :)

My favorite color in the world is BLUE. That's exactly why I chose this color. It's not weird, it's just different so I'm keeping it in this shade for a while. I plan to grow it even longer but had them cut the sides so I won't look scruffy.  They also put in treatment serums on my hair and the results were just amazing. It became more soft and manageable, and I think it gave the color of my hair an even brighter look. They took care of me like family and you can't get that anywhere else. It's exactly why I trust them with my hair.

Don't be afraid to experiment, talk to your stylist and tell them what you want to happen. I've googled my hairstyle and checked my options. I think this one just fits me. About this time, another guy was actually in the salon getting his hair curled so it could look like this. I am blessed with curly hair already so it gave my hair the height it needs for this! It's not often that I say that I love my curly hair but this is one of the occasions.

True enough, after a few snips here and there, my hair turned out with the perfect BLUE that I was looking for. Some people are even telling me it turns purple when seen in different lighting conditions and that's just the best complement I've ever received since having it.

Thank you so much to La Belleza Hair and Nail Salon for taking care of me. I'll wear this BLUE hair proud out on the streets and in other events. I'm sure people would just love it just like I do! If I were you, I'd also take advantage of the sale from PinoySavings.com's La Belleza promo and get deals up to 80% off it's original price.

Or just head on over to their salon at the 2nd floor of the EK Building, at #50 Don Antonio II, Holy Spirit Drive in Quezon City. Call them for appointments at 09264563433 / 09277172014. They'll surely take care of you.

Make Me Blush Nail Spa and Beauty Lounge

Monday, May 05, 2014

Feeling so down and stuck at home? Stressed from work? Feel so ugly and sticky in this kind of weather? I know, I went through all that and more. Don't worry though because I've seen this new fancy place at the 3rd Floor of the newly built Hemady Square Building right beside the Christ the King Church in E. Rodriguez, Quezon City. I got the pampering I deserve after all that work and play I did the previous week.

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't normally go to nail spas because I think it's too girly. I don't want to tell you to do the same. Men need clean nails though, so having a manicure and pedicure is just as normal as a haircut these days. If you're still afraid to go to one, this one isn't going to scare you. It's upscale feel is just right. Don't be afraid of the colorful interiors because you need that like endorphins. I proceeded inside with only one thing in my mind, that was to relax and get my nails done. Simple and achievable, right?

You'll be greeted in the front counter by the owner herself, Ms. Alyssa Sy. Just like her spot, she's warm and very friendly. This goes the same with her staff which is a must in services like this. She suggested I get a full body massage when I was expecting foot pampering that afternoon. I gladly said yes and tell you about that later. They have the price list and services already listed on the counter but you can always ask for what they can do for you or suggest stuff to get pampered with. The room smelled wonderful too which I think is because they've got mini lights with peppermint aroma in one part of the room. It was calming, soothing and happy at the same time. Wouldn't get that anywhere right? :)

Seating is comfortably available on both sides of the room. It can probably sit around 10 people at the same time. This would be the ideal setting for a nail spa party. It would also be great if you want to veer away from the usual bridal shower like an alternate venue if you want a small gathering to ensue. You have one side for those who want a more sturdy royal seating, whilst the other can be good for those who want to slouch around and want it softer.

The usual zen music is there but you can always request for songs you prefer. It's an audio - video thing so I'm sure you won't miss out on TV programs if you need to watch your favorite telenovela or movie when available. If you need emergency internet connection, the place has wifi so just ask for it but really... you are here to relax so put that phone on silent and enjoy the experience being disconnected. Get back to the action when you're done!

Make Me Blush also has hair services. Alyssa is a great make up artist and hair stylist. She's also trained and certified so you know how that goes. Though you can't just walk in everyday for this, you must set an appointment where Alyssa can arrange for you. A call would do, I'll give you the phone number to call in a bit. Meanwhile, it was time for my massage ^_^

Their massage services are pretty big. They've got it arranged by 30/60/90 minutes. From Head, Back, Hand and Foot massages you can expect them concentrate on the specific area you want to get taken cared of. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Combination or Stress Buster... they've got different kinds and packages that would suit your need. My eyes lit up when the Deep Tissue Massage was mentioned and said "I'll have that, thank you Ma'am." and smiled all the way to the room in the back. Their beds were kinda velvety. You have the usual and the comfort room just beside it. After the massage, I almost dozed off. It was nice and relaxing, I immediately thought of going back again just for that. The attendant was also nice and she was explaining everything when I asked a lot of questions about the massage. Did I say I was going back there? Hehe of course!

Nail services were impeccable. Pedicure was a breeze and my feet didn't get murdered. I love how meticulous they were in taking care of the nails. Huffed and buffed in the right places. Plus, my friend Ruth had a blast with the colors they had on the shelves. It's all complete! Don't you just frown on some other nail places that show you thousands of style templates but ends that they don't have the colors? Hehe. It's not gonna happen here. Aside from that, she's also got some colorful bags sold in the shop. That would totally complete your look!

For people who live nearby, please come and visit. For those who are from other cities, they have parking available so it'll be worth the trip. I had a great massage, got my nails done... and it doesn't take a genius to tell that it was damn good. Clean, simple, relaxing and very affordable. Call them for appointments, thank me later!
