HOPE in times of Crisis

Ever wondered why the Maginhawa Community Pantry has been so successful? It's because they do something that makes sense, don't cheat the farmers, and a lot of good, kind hearted people that choose to help each other in times of need. Although there are thousands of them lining up to fill up their pantries, the help didn't really run out and even the local government noticed, a really good thing.

That little brouhaha over red tagging (by some people that this pantry wanted to also help) was definitely an issue, but hopefully it's been cleared. I wish the support QC is giving the organizer (over security) is enough so that they could still help more people who need it. The good deed has also spread like wildfire in other parts of the country, and I'm so happy that happened. We need to still have HOPE that in some way, we all would get through this no matter how impossible it may look like today.

I've seen some private entities are also lending a hand. Like Pizza Hut who sent 10 whole sacks of rice to the Maginhawa Community Pantry, that's going to benefit a lot of people especially since Filipinos consider this as staple. I hope other organizations, corporations do the same. Aside from that, I hope those who line up only get what they need so that others would benefit from it too. (Although I don't know if this is from the corp or their employees, it still is important to help when you can.)

We can't lose hope even if we feel so burdened these days. There are good Samaritans out there that would still love to do it. We need to look for the opportunity to help in times of crisis, look for organizations that do and share what you can.

Pizza and I have a very harmonious relationship, it loves me, and I love it. It always brings me comfort on a bad day, it also makes me happy to spend time with family and friends because some of them are really good.

Well, Pizza Hut is not going to just stand there and watch us be sad because of the pandemic, as they just announced this week the emergence of the ULTIMATE CHEESY BITES PIZZA. It's a cheese lovers dream pizza made into reality. Imagine the crust with 24 individual bite sized poppers on the end and 4 cheese layers of Mozzarella, Cheddar, Cream Cheese and Parmesan. It also comes with a Marinara dip for those who want a little tangy flavor, and some really awesome packages if you're up for it. Pizza Hut Opens New Hip Branch in Mall of Asia

I super love dining at Pizza Hut Bistro in Gateway Mall, but this one is special. It's a new hip branch they've recently opened up in SM Mall of Asia, and if I may I'd like to quote the executive that said it's the first of it's kind in the world... so in a nutshell this is history in the making.

What's different you say? It's the OPEN CONCEPT. Probably patterned on this trend in the US, they very well know that it would work in the Philippines too. You can take a look and see the whole restaurant from end to end, even the kitchen adopts it as well. That thing in the end has glass from one part of the restaurant to the other. You'll see how your dishes get prepared and salivate on how they make your salads, pasta's, pizzas, chicken and drinks all in one place, and now all you've got to do is experience it yourself. It's a revamped menu too! Not only that, one area of this busy restaurant is dedicated to Pizza Hut merchandise which are now selling like hotcakes, I mean their pizzas, because it honestly looks good too. The whole place can accommodate a BIG crowd, as it felt like a huge food hall but really, this is just one restaurant.

Oh and the famous THICK CRUST PIZZA! I of course want the one with STUFFED CRUST so if you can order that, please do!

Oh yes, they have desserts!

If ever they have events or see that the restaurant would be a little tight like on this day, they can set up pop up counters and sell em slices, or better yet, whole pizzas! 

If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you visit the Pizza Hut SM Mall of Asia branch today. It sits right at the center of the mall near the entrance where the fountains/wishing pond are found. After going inside, it's on the left side. You can't miss it because it's probably full of people already! They have a separate counter and the place is pretty open. You'll get to smell pizza even from afar! Haha!

We've all been to Pizza Hut and know how much they've improved their menu over the years. They're not just a plain pizza chain now and has evolved to what seems to be a casual family restaurant. From soups, salads, fried chicken, pizza and pasta, they all have that and more. Although it's already affordable, people still wanted to find ways to fill up their tummies without breaking the bank. Pizza Hut knows and heeds your call. They made new Hut Feasts and get you the freedom to choose!

Now they've come out with 12 meal combinations which can feed 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 of your friends and family. You'll get pizza, some side dishes and even drinks already included. I've seen meals as low as Php 259 up to Php 1,999 and they're pretty packed with the lovely food that Pizza Hut offers. Here's what we saw earlier on video.
