I've been witness to several Toyota Racing events in Japan (remotely) and in the Philippines. Hearing how passionate people are in the sport makes me feel so good knowing they get to show Toyota Motor Corporation's knack in motorsports and it's development. Now there are big brands supporting them for the same reason, and one of them is Casio Computer Co., Ltd. via their best Casio EDIFICE watch which they are gearing for global promotion.

You can see how they have shared values. They do innovation like no other, they also use tech for their advantage and showcase it by providing EDIFICE to Toyota Racing team during the FIA World Endurance Championship Season. Both brands will also be displayed proudly on the cars, a sight to behold!

Filipino Actor DINGDONG DANTES is POLICE LIFESTYLE's Global Brand Ambassador on its 40th Anniversary

God must have spent a little more time on Primetime King Dingdong Dantes when he made him. He's a very talented actor, host, Dad to Zia and Sixto and a loving husband to the queen Marian Rivera-Dantes. He's very passionate with sports, motorcycles, and just about any adrenaline inducing activity. He also does it with style, panache and swag without even trying to.

 

He's the perfect fit to represent Police Lifestyle. They have been in the industry for 40 years. Today, he's been hailed as the first and only Filipino brand ambassador together with British F1 Racer Lewis Hamilton. In fact, they've already graced a huge billboard in New York City's Times Square.  Executives from the brand graced the event yesterday at Ideal Vision and Watch Republic at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. 

To mark the special occasion, Mr. Dantes was awarded with a special edition POLICE 40th Anniversary Sunglasses with serial number 001. Their call is "AUDACITY WANTED", a term to describe their products and a man's ability to not just exude machismo, but to make it evolved and timeless.

Here are some highlights from the event and a few minutes of the interview that was facilitated by the fabulous Frank Briones, the President of Thinline Advertising. We also included a few minutes to showcase the watches and eyewear that was on display at Ideal Vision and Watch Republic. Dingdong Dantes also went to these stores to say hi to patrons, fans, and the staff. Man was able to spend time taking photos with them too. It was so gracious of him to do that despite his busy schedule.

TIMEX Releases Fall/Winter Collection

It's a Monday but we're raring to see the latest masterpieces from TIMEX at the Mall of Asia.

Time Master Poseidon Collection Launch

I had an epiphany last night when I watched the launch of Time Master, a brand that Brian Daniel Poe Llamanzares did at posh Prive in BGC. You see, I'm not alone in this world who think Millenials actually lack a lot of things, but Brian is totally different. I think upbringing has a lot to do with it. I shook hands with him, small talk, but felt how passion has fueled this inalienable gusto for time pieces.

He distinctly remembers how his Father (who was also there by the way even if he doesn't go public that much) always had him appreciate how good a watch could be by generously giving him one every time he accomplishes a milestone, life goals and how he felt so reassured of his love and care. It got him to feel the timeless pieces boost his confidence, allow him to harness that energy and make it into positive things, he'd like to convey that as well in these collections.

They brought out the Time Master Poseidon Collection. It's a series of watches that could endure 100 meters depth, make you feel godly if there's an opportunity. The design is bespoke, could be worn in a casual garment, or a suit for formal occasions. It also had that Trident Neptune would have in all his scenes, and that en-vibes power.

Brian is blessed, he had his whole family back him up during the launch. If you look closely, there's his father, the Queen of Philippine Cinema Susan Roces also flanked by Senator Grace Poe, premier actress Lovi Poe and the rest of their family. 

I saw some pieces like the Time Master Metal Ore with steel as main material, leather straps, and a couple with a very nautical theme. The models carried them well, accented their plain clothing and made it upscale by wearing the watches he's got at Time Master. I would really mistake this to be an existing international brand already if I didn't know it was just being launched today. That's the plan, and when I heard that I was equally excited for him.

Bryan says "Its about having a story behind a watch, it's designed to be passed on from generation to generation. One that you could take to adventures, one that you could make memories with. It was common sense to name his brand after a mythical beach. The hour glass has a trident on it. It's the Poseidon collection. "

He adds "As all of you know it's been a year from campaigns and this watch was a way to move forward, a passion project and to compete internationally? I'm left speechless. Tonight is not about me, it's about the people that made this possible. Thanks to my Dad who is here too. He used to give me a watch whenever I did something great, now I'm giving the first ever series 000 to my Dad. Best of all, he's got a CSR arm already involved. Part of the proceeds of the sale of these time pieces will actually go to MovED, a reputable organization involved in early child education. It's well thought out and it goes to a cause he also cares about, that tells a lot. I don't want to say he's perfect, but he's quite close. A good man, a millenial who does more than the usual and uses that voice to do more for the future of these kids.

Looks like our friends from Tomato Time has just set up shop at the posh Shangri-la Mall in Edsa Mandaluyong City. They're at the 5th level and are offering their lovely watches. I've had my first one around 2 years ago got another one a year after. I like their designs back then and how affordable their products are. Now, they've gone strides, leaps and bounds in coming out with even newer designs that would fit the NOW generation. They have also come out with very romantic pieces, personifying elegance when the occasion needs it. We were able preview the watches early as a perk, it was so nice!
