Go Get Seagate SSD Drives On Shopee!

Thursday, July 30, 2020

We're still in GCQ and I picked up a hobby opening up my laptop computer in the hopes to give it new life.

I have already started fixing the old keyboard because some of the letters were just not responding. Just this weekend, I was able to finish upgrading the RAM and ordered a few of it online in Shopee. Honestly, I was just browsing one day and these products just kept appearing right when I have had the luxury of time because of quarantine. Now it looks like I'm kinda running low on storage and what better way to fix that but by getting myself a few interesting pieces from Seagate. Yes, they've got an official store in Shopee.

I am eyeing these SSD External Portable Storage!

SSD's can perform faster, make processes done in quicker time which means more savings later on. It's definitely a great investment, easy to organize with a few months subscription of Mylio Create and edit with Adobe Cloud that comes with it. With a max data transfer of 400 MB/s putting those video and photos for your vlogs would be easy, heck that's way faster than your existing drives if I'm not mistaken. It's gonna be cheaper too if you smartly use your Shopee vouchers which you can download here. Install and shop at the comforts of your home, go to the App Store or Google Play and hurry before you miss the sale!

Western Digital Storage and Entertainment Solutions

Saturday, August 23, 2014

We visited the Western Digital store in SM North Edsa's Annex to take a look at their newest releases specifically the WD My Passport AV-TV and the WD TV Live! I'm no stranger to hardware like these because I configure them for a living a few years ago. There has been some really good improvements but it basically only does one thing (talking about the WD My Passport AV-TV), it's for recording TV broadcast and streams. Even at it's small built, the thing has 1TB capacity but also got a 500GB version of it.

It's also got accessories that can have the device attached to the back since some TV sets in homes are wall mounted. This small wonder can record your favorite shows so you can watch them whenever you want. Using the remote controls of your TV, you can pause, rewind, or fast forward any scene but you have to have the corresponding compatible TV with it. TV Models would be listed in Western Digital's website. Video output is superb and quality is crystal because the USB port is already 3.0, making transfer rate of data faster. Don't worry about messing up the bracket because you've got the Quick Install guide in the box too. Setting it up would be a cinch, else you can visit their knowledge base for detailed instructions.

I also saw something I'd want for my home on display.

1200-nokia-105-group_2

If you've been living under a rock these past few days, you might have not heard of the news yet because Nokia just released the Nokia 105! It's the ultra reliable back-up or emergency phone (which you can also use as your primary phone that can SHOCKINGLY last for a total of 35 days (on standby time) without charging! I haven't seen anything like that in the market and this will surely crush the affordable phone competition.

It's even got a real deal FM radio, 5 pre loaded games, alarm clock, a speaking clock and flash light capabilities. This is really the big news I'm waiting for and I'm buying one for my Mom and Dad who just can't keep on charging their phones over and over again. I can't believe Nokia gave us the chance to have this for only Php 999.00!

It's available in two different colors. You can choose CYAN or BLACK. Whatever it is, you've got the basic phone that you can use on emergencies whenever, wherever. That's only possible with the first phone brand I ever trusted! That's Nokia, truly still here designed for life! Remember, that's 35 hours and 12.5 talktime hourse you won't see anywhere else! :)

Recovering... Getting there!

Monday, December 27, 2010

Sorry guys I haven't actually posted much of my activities this Christmas Season because I was down with the flu the whole week. It was very hard for me to even look at the monitor or stand up or even eat because everything felt miserable. I felt really bad that I couldn't even get to celebrate with my family but I think I am recovering. I'm still sick but I'm getting there and hopefully after a week or so I'd be able to go back on my feet and write the hell out of this joint ha-ha!

I was planning to watch a movie later but I'm weighing my options since I don't want to go out sick and just chill inside the movie theaters. I better check myself if I can do it otherwise I should just stay at home and get some well needed rest. I also plan to go somewhere this year and it'll cost me an arm and a leg. I'll try it though... no harm in trying so they say.

I want to go to my friend's house so I can give gifts to my god daughters/godsons. A late gift is still a gift after all. I don't want to be the bad "ninong" when the time comes and they would only curse me after a few years LOL. Anyway, I'm back and that's great news to start the new year right?!

Thanks for staying guys, I owe you a lot! You know who you are! =)

Outlook Nightmare

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

I've been using Microsoft Outlook 2002 in our office since that is the only email client allowed on our company computers. Together with the slow booting Windows 2000, it was a normal day in the office... that's what I thought. This is the first thing that I do once I sit down and concentrate on office work. I checked my mails thinking it was just the usual things I'm going to do that night, but I was wrong. Opening up my computer prompted already an error that the connecting to the mail server timed out. Then another unusual error that related to some rules I made on filters and that just let me press the x button on it. It automatically opened my inbox then I was wondering why I was only looking at 7 new emails. OMG! Wait! Where are the rest of my emails? I know I had about 200MB worth of emails the last time I checked. That was the last time I saw it, now its all gone.

I'm looking at a bare screen where none of my important office emails, personal mails, files, and bills is showing up. I frantically ran to our Management Systems Information Department and asked people there who can recover my files but when they checked their servers, they didn't see a thing too. Everything was gone and the logs indicated that I deleted it, but that did not happen obviously. I don't know if it was a glitch or a system error but I was mad. They were not ably to retrieve anything. I don't backup my files on my computer because that was sort of temporary and the same department deletes them regularly. Now I don't have anything but the ones I still have in my Sent Items Folder. I lost my electronic receipts and transaction records that I had in my other folders too. Four long years of documents are lost in just one click. It's just not a good day for me. I know I'll cry this out later on. See how painful it is for not backing up files? Imagine that! Online Backups would have been more convenient. Kill me now because my life expectancy just shortened 10 more years.
