Vivo V7 Launch in Bacolod City

Thursday, November 23, 2017

If you haven't seen this photo, I'm sure you wouldn't believe it but man look at that crowd!

This is the Vivo V7 launch at the SM City Bacolod center. I've been here quite a number of times because it's my province too but man, this must have been overwhelming for them to do. One of the things that probably made them come is the chance to see the Vivo V7 up close. If you don't know, the Vivo V7 has a 24 MP front camera so you always get a clearer selfie. It also has got a 16MP Back Camera, a 5.7inch all screen display, quick Face ID access, it's own Funtouch OS 3.2, a 4GB RAM, a 32 GB ROM, Qualcomm Octa Core processor and a game mode where you can multitask while playing your favorite game. It also costs Php 14,990 which is a whole lot cheaper than other phones with the same specifications.

Boyband PH's Joao Constancia, Niel Murillo, Tristan Ramirez, Russell Reyes didn't let down because as soon as they got on stage, these guys danced like their life depended on it. Their fans surpassed that energy and went ballistic on the sidelines and the other floors of the very grand mall. It was like a concert of sorts and Vivo Philippines made it happen. They will introduce the same handset in different parts of the country and they will bring a lot of other artists too with them so you get to enjoy the features of the phone, and the entertainment these celebrities will bring you.

If you want to know more about their future events, visit www.vivo.com/ph or check their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VivoPhil or their IG account @vivophil and Twitter account @vivo_phil.

Bacolod's Masskara Festival Day 2

Sunday, October 19, 2014

After an epic day 1 at Bacolod I was wishing to top it off with another great celebration in the city of smiles for Masskara 2014. We partied the night before (for Masskara Love Dance) til morning, and got up afternoon... then decided to rush to the front of Bacolod City Hall so I could catch a glimpse of the famous inter barangay parade that everyone was talking about. The moment I arrived there, the streets were already filled with people, there were a few cops here and there, but I had the notion that the parade was already done as the cabbie told me going there. I started just shooting randomly on the side streets because there were small Masskara trinkets which I found so cute.

Then from a distance, I could see a couple of balloons walking towards the city hall area, the crowd grew in a few minutes and when it cleared I saw these gigantic puppets they were holding which is part of another contest it seems. It was cute because they chose cartoon characters, it seemed that they all came to life!

Both Manga and some American cartoon series were all there! People were taking pictures and selfies while the contestants were asking for donations too. Then I saw one or two Masskarra dancers mixed with them, I didn't know the Barangay parade was just there! I smiled from ear to ear ^_^

The Masskara dancers from different Barangays really spent a few weeks practicing for this so it wasn't a surprise that they were very spirited with their street dances. The colors, the intricate details on their costumes and the props were all well thought of, you just felt how much work they put into that.

Lacson street was equally packed when we went there last night. There were two concerts going on in the same area but we wanted to experience #SmartMasskara like crazy so the best place to be is Spectrum's Masskara Invasion, located at Bob's Cafe along Lacson street - powered by the biggest network SMART of course!

It was grand, it was intimate, I totally LOVE the music! If my hunch was correct it was a mix of EDM, dance and pop music. Everybody had their share of fun, united under the midnight sun. Add to that the fun people we were with last night, plus the beautiful people of Bacolod, it was bound to be another #SmartMasskara experience we will never forget!

I super duper LOVE also that I could update real time on Instagram because of the FREE Internet that SMART has. Whether you are on postpaid or prepaid, you can text FREE to 9999 and take your smartphone social media experience to even greater heights! I would love to go back to my second home, let's see if we could get part 3 tonight! :)

Love from Bacolod,

Bacolod's Masskara Festival Day 1

Saturday, October 18, 2014

Bacolod is my second home since almost all my relatives are here. I expected a more toned down version of a music festival since it's provincial - but oh no I was so wrong!

The night though started a lil slow and a couple or more people showed up around 12. Then it was packed! The place is a football field, since it rained non stop two days before I was expecting it already dried up as it was sunny the whole day, again I was wrong LOL.

The place was wet, muddy and people kept sinking in some places including us! Beer and liquor was a plenty so after a few rounds of that, burgers and barbecue, it made us happy, we did let loose, and paid more attention to Manila and Bacolod's best DJ's as they dished out tunes all for the love of MASSKARA!

Booths were also there and I especially love the one for Deezer. As you may know, I love every bit of their 35 Million songs and I post a lot of the ones on my playlist. Smart by the way have packages that can get you stream all you want for as low as Php 250 bucks. Plus if you show em the app installed in your phone, they'll give you your own Masskara :)

Deezer also has been working with SONOS and BOSE for HIgh Fidelity streaming services so you can beam them up to your living room on demand. This is how good you can experience #SmartMasskara when you use the prepaid or postpaid sim only from the biggest and better network SMART! :) I had LTE coverage all night and it was easy posting updates during the first day.

I'll be in on the second event as #SmartMasskara and we'll cover MASSKARA INVASION in Lacson Street later! See you there! :)

3 Parties You Should Not Miss During MassKara Festival

Wednesday, October 15, 2014

I work hard but party harder. This year, I'll be flying to Bacolod to witness the MassKara Festival. It's my first time but I do frequent the place because almost all my relatives are there. I know the arrangements for the streetdance and grand parade are already being done because I know a few who will be part of that. But when the night comes, we don't have to just go home and sleep... we need to party even more!

I've taken the pleasure of listing down 3 major parties that you should not miss during this weekend. You need to be in the most happening places in Bacolod so you would not just sulk in your hotel room while you're on vacation.

Party #1

MassKara Love Dance

On October 17, 2014, head on the Central Football Field in Mandalagan, Bacolod City. The whole place will be transformed into a music festival ground where freedom, expression and screams will be sacred. They will take you to that place where a weekend of party and love converge. It'll happen from 12 Noon to sunrise the next day! I will be there to take photos of people so see you!

Party #2

Cafe Bob's is a landmark in Lacson Street and if you're doing MassKara, you should never miss this 2 day spectacle that will happen on the actual street. They are also bringing in Spectrum Live! They'll be coming in with the best of the best acts in Visayas and Mindanao. DJ's from Spectrum will be spinning right after the sun sets. Lights and sounds on this grand EDM party might not be seen quite a while in this side of the Philippines so if you're into it, come grace the Invasion Tour in Bacolod! This will happen in 2 days, October 17-18 so you've got time to roam around and enjoy this one!

Party #3

This is the BIGGEST outdoor dance festival in Bacolod. Think about the lineup of 35 DJ's, 4 MC's, 2 bands all being done in 4 long nights. From October 16 to 19, you'll have to go out and celebrate their themes Inception, Awakening, Kaleidoscope and the Charter Day Electric Dance Parade. Heck my friend Santi Santos from Manila is also spinning here! Best of all, this party has NO ENTRANCE FEE and will happen on the actual Lacson Street so make sure you join the festivities brought to you by SMART, as they show you how to LIVE MORE!

There will be a designated SMART ZONE along Lacson Street where you can join activities and WIN prizes! For details on how to get tickets to these parties, follow @SmartPromos on Twitter or check out their social media channels below!

Philippine AZKALS Win Versus Mongolia Blue Wolves 2-0 (Video Embedded)

Thursday, February 10, 2011

I was waiting for my Mom to arrive from Bacolod (yes she missed it by a few hours!) while watching the AZKALS VS MONGOLIA Match this evening February 9, 2011. I was so excited to see thousands upon thousands of Filipinos who flocked in Panaad Stadium who watched our home boys play with a lower ranked country like Mongolia. Yes we are the favored team to win this time.

I was sure that the Azkals would play with what they were known for, DEFENSE... but apparently this time they were the ones going to the goal several times and put the Mongolian Blue Wolves mum at 2-0. Caligdong scored the first goal for the Azkals which got the whole crowed cheering more at the 42nd minute. Here's the video!

Caligdong had to make sure you guys know his name ha-ha!

The half European Superstar Phil Younghusband also got a share of the loot a few seconds before the game ended. I was really waiting for them to score the second goal since he predicted this before the game started with TJ Manotoc. It was also a nice gesture for the Filipino crowd to cheer for the Mongolian players after their national anthem. Here's a playback of Phil Younghusband's goal!

Look at that! Just how many red shirts tried to stop that right?!

So it is clear that we have something to look forward to after this AFC season. They play for the love of the country so I hope and pray something happens to our team as we vie for the World Cup.... Yeah I know, libre naman mangarap diba?! (It's free to dream that big right?!) Ha-ha!

Credits to TJ Trinidad for the stills and youtube guy for the uploads!
