Tuesday, July 30, 2024

It was a time to feel beautiful and confident as hair color brand Life Strong Hairfix held their "Your Crown, Your Story" event at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City. Tons of Moms, women of all ages took time out and got free hairstyling, played games and won prizes courtesy of Hairfix.

COO of Lifestong Marketing Margaret Lee says "Hairstyling, treatments, DIY, with salon quality products is now possible because of Hairfix. It is now available nationwide, our best selling colorant is now number 1 in the market and the convenience you get with these products at home is priceless. You can now transform your hair with 18 colors to choose from, healthier hair from root to tip, all from Hairfix! It's time you take care of your crown and tell your story."

Rabiya Mateo is the current brand ambassador and she says "When I heard they were tapping me about Hairfix, I was so happy because I am a user. It's not only a great product, but very affordable too. I love the Light Brown color, and am raring to use the bold ones soon. For those who haven't tried it, it's time you take care of your hair and look good again especially now since they also have a promo of buy one take one. Give an hour or two to do simple things to look good and feel good so you radiate, and your family will feel it too."

Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2023 Francine Reyes and Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez also graced the event and shared really encouraging.. and empowering words to the Moms who were there. They also made sure they know their worth, and how they envy their resilience in raising their respective families and continue to help and enjoy their community. They also shared some of their favorite Hairfix products, of some, they have been using even before they were endorsing the product. Here's the event on video, please be kind to the photographers who were going in front (blocking your view) while we were recording this bit. :)

I was really touched when they showed 4 lucky Moms who they spoiled shopping and done with a makeover using the latest products from Hairfix. I personally like the hair colors because of the variety and how affordable it is. Let me take this bit to thank the men and women behind Life Strong who invited us to witness that. Rabiya, Tracy and Francine went up on stage and crowned them right after the reveal. That was really a touching moment.

Now it's your turn to get your crown, and make that story! Congratulations Hairfix!

RABIYA MATEO's Secret to Gorgeous Looking Hair

Monday, January 29, 2024

Filipina beauty queens have always been regarded as the best in the world. They've been feared in major pageants, not just because of their physical attributes, but their wit, intelligence, their capability to exude positivity, empowerment, grace, and heart. It's this whole package that makes them shine.

No doubt, our Filipinas really take care of themselves and in this world where the wind, harmful rays of the sun and everyday elements surely would prove challenging to do that. This is the same with our crowning glory. 2020 Binibining Pilipinas Universe Rabiya Mateo shared her secret on how to make sure you don't overlook details like these. She speaks from experience, and loving her hair came early on even at home.

She believes in investing in it, like having LifeStrong Marketing Incorporated's Hairfix before she goes out. They have a line of products which you can use to DIY and take care of your hair easily. It does wonders from the roots to the tips. They also have hair color which Rabiya Mateo swears by. She prefers the Silvery Ash since it can give her usually jet black hair a different look. It gives her that EXTRA confidence when going out and yes, even her beauty queen friends do the same.

Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez uses the Hairfix Professional Line Collagen + Peptide which keeps her hair healthy and strands thick even when she gets it styled quite often. Miss Eco Teen Philippines 2023 Francine   Reyes on the other hand uses Hairfix’s Professional Line Protein + Vitamin C which keeps her hair stright and tangle free. Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2023 Michelle Arceo and current Miss Elite 2022 First Runner-Up Shanon Tampon uses the  Hairfix Multiplex Serum which nourishes their hair, and leaves it in great condition everyday.

Rabiya says "Taking care of my hair brings me lots of self confidence. I feel fiercer, bolder and full of pride facing the crowd when I represented the country. Taking care of it makes me feel I am taking care of myself."

If you want to know more about Hairfix, check out their social channels by searching HairfixPH on IG and X. Visit their official sites Hairfix.com.ph and Lifestrong.com.ph to know more how YOU can be like Rabiya and the ladies.

CROCS Opens Store at B7 Bonifacio High Street

Wednesday, March 16, 2022

The good looking guy just arrived at the new BGC branch of CROCS, our well loved footwear brand. It's been a while since we've covered an event physically and chances are, we're going to splurge a little bit since it's a great day to start summer festivities in Manila. Their call, is for you to tell your SUMMER STORY and this particular branch has all your unique Crocs Clogs in different colors and styles. The store is also huge you can roam around without bumping into anyone and the center is dedicated to a little treat we call JIBBITZ. They are charms you attach on the holes of your Crocs pairs and I loved every bit of it. I got myself a winter camo (Marble Clogs) colored pair and started picking 90's iconic symbols so I could personalize it.

They encourage this so as to make each pair unique and I love them about that. Loads of celebrities have also gone to the store including Crocs Ambassador AC Bonifacio, Patrick Quiroz, models and influencers from the metro. There are also installations outside the store where you can take photos of you, your friends or family. They are extra colorful too so if you're in the look for a pair, it's time to do it here!

Here's a little tour I made on the new store, enjoy!

Go catch a pair and see why people are loving their CROCS while telling their Summer Story!

BLUE with Bianca Festejo Hub

Saturday, August 24, 2019

I have been resting my hair for more or less a year now and it wasn’t easy. I always am fond of color but I had to tone it down as my Dad passed, felt it was a sacrifice of sorts and I pretty much have had my hair abused for several years because I know it would only take a few years before I’d have a bald spot somewhere. I’ve been sad about that but I felt if I stopped and didn’t personalize what my hair looks like, I’d be just like anybody else. I would hate it if that happens.

This boy right here is about going against the grain, to be different, one that would stick like a sore thumb in an ocean full of people who want boring, I am not against it, but it’s just not me. I have trusted my hair with a lot of salons and they pretty much made it awesome because of the nice treatments, fancy hair colors and just about anything on a color wheel, I’ve already tried. I visited this posh salon called Bianca Festejo Hub in Greenhills the other week because I wanted something different, a change was definitely called for so I asked their senior stylist JR if I could do something crazy, I’d want to make my hair BLUE. He immediately warned me about bleaching (a good point) but I have bleached my hair tons of times and I knew what I was getting myself into. I have sometimes experienced pain in the scalp in other salons so this was expected. They escorted me to the salon area upstairs and I saw this on the mezzanine.

It’s very chic, very minimalist and feels like the same aesthetics as those in Korea. They’ve got a powerhouse of people who know hair and color so I sat down in one of these comfy seats and began the process. I have already shampooed my hair prior to going here so a little prep work on my hand saved me a lot of time. They started bleaching my hair and I was expecting this is gonna hurt, buy they must have been using premium products that I didn’t feel anything at all. It was just cold actually, because the thing they used had mint on it. It was a refreshing start. My hair turned yellow after a few minutes, then they put in purple shampoo as well to lighten it even further. They stylist knew how to only bleach the top part and later my roots so as not to get my scalp hurt in the process. He knew what he was doing.

Say hi to Senior Stylist RJ when you're there!

Bleach, not the anime, they covered my ears so it won't get colored too

Waited to make my hair lighter, then rinsed off their hair wash station

I was surprised to see @Earthlingorgeous there. We had burgers afterwards.

Almost done with the Blue shade, they also styled my hair plus a haircut.

Then after a rinse (thanks to the kind lady who did it for me), we went back to the chair and got the blue hair dye in. It didn’t smell at all and I just sat there for a little under 2 hours and I was done. See how much I’ve changed?

Your Super Saiyan God in the flesh! Haha

I love my BLUE hair. Thanks Bianca Festejo Hub!

I got my desired color (brighter and better results actually), without any pain and I’ve been getting the hair attention I have always wanted now. If you’r adventurous or just want something seriously good for your hair, go and say hi to the people at Bianca Festejo Hub in Greenhills Promenade’s Ground Floor. They’ve got the best people to pamper you, from hair or skin.

Go visit their website BiancaFestejo.com and social media channels @biancafestejohub on IG, plus their branches at Greenhills Promenade, Petron Square 2nd Floor, Congressional Avenue East and at Starmall Las Pinas 2nd Floor. You deserve the best, treat yourself to good hair.

You do.

WATSONS Has Got Your #HairGoals

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

How do you want your hair be done? You want it colored, styled, be awesome but can't think about the costs right? What if I tell you that YOU CAN acheive your #HairGoals just by visiting their stores today and get that thing on top of your head be the best there is. Your hair should exude confidence, power and just about every feeling possible you may want to rightfully exist because you have control over it.

During the event, sponsors like Revlon, Loreal, Kolors, Creamsilk took to the stage and got popular artists, hair gurus share their experiences and tips on how to get the most popular looks be done on YOU. I'll share mine. Hair should always accentuate what look you have, if that means you look good when you are a little whiter, make your hair a lot lighter so you even become brighter. If you prefer a more solid look, the dark ones, to browns always works. I felt I had to be a little whiter that day so I got a Revlon blonde hair color and paid for it at Watsons for only Php 350. I even got a Revlon lip tint balm for free which costs Php 500, now if you think about it, having your hair colored would usually cost Php 1000- Php 3500 in a salon, but you save a lot and even get freebies if you do it through this event.

They will be here until next week so I suggest you go to SM Mall of Asia and get your hair done by experts as they'll be there until next week. It's cheaper but you get to use top of the line brands that have already impressed people in the mall, I assure you there are still lots of products there that would fit your needs because it's all at Watsons.

Go find your #HairGoals at any Watsons branch all this month. There are sale items, more services that you can enjoy much like me and Solenn Heussaff. It's all there!

A Colorful Day at Watsons

Friday, May 19, 2017

What's your hair goal?

Well mine is easy, just have it look neat, really colorful, and I don't care if I'd experiement. Now I haven't had my hair colored for a long time because I haven't had time to visit the salon lately. Yes, I was too busy to do that. It's a good thing that when I passed by WATSON's this morning, they have popup salons right in the center on Mall of Asia's event area where they could help you with your hair goals during mall hours. Heck since I was there for an event, I went ahead and tried to visit the REVLON salon and see if the Luxurious Colorsilk Buttercream would actually be a good thing to have on my hair.

There were a lot of vendors there but what caught my attention was the lightest shade they had. Aside from that, Revlon is Ammonia Free which is different from other vendors there during the event. I'm a little ecologically friendly you know!

Now I had black hair because it grew on me, but if I apply a light blonde on it it's probably going to be just on a light brown side. They started doing it right away because I was in a hurry.

They also advised me to use a specific conditioner which was included in the box. So yes, you can DIY color apparently and have great hair. All these products can be bought at WATSONS but the real thrill is they also have sales and promos available. In my end, the REVLON Luxurious Colorsilk Buttermilk color was about Php 450 but since they have this event, they took off Php 100 off so I only paid Php 350 for it. They also have other products which they sold dor 50% off. This event will run until May 24th (in SM Mall of Asia), they just finished in SM Fairview, but will also be at SM Megamall a whole week starting May 25th so you really can't miss it!

I guess it's time to make your look more colorful now with WATSONS, because honestly, almost everything is there! Style, color, easy.

A Legacy: Jing Monis and M Barbers

Friday, October 14, 2016

Joey Mead and Phoemela Barranda hosted the event
Had a wonderful evening with celebrities and friends of Jing Monis, hair guru and stylist to the stars. He's been in the industry for 25 years and has been the trusted person to take care of A list celebrities, influencers and models in the industry. I personally was a little happy to meet a person of his stature. I know some of the photographers he's worked with and they're all great.

He's also helped a ton of models, sponsored quite a number so they could get where they are. He's also donned magazines, countless editorials and have already drawn praises from the who's who of the industry.

This evening was special because he's bringing in something new, his personal baby of sorts. I like it a LOT because I live nearby and with the way things are going in this community, we need a special place to take care of our hair without all the fuzz and fancy. Go for a more mom and pop shop, that cool barbershop feel, and he calls it M Barbers.

He showed us how it is through a fashion show, ready?

Vina Morales for Ystilo Salon x Helen Seward

Wednesday, May 11, 2016

I was invited to one of the events of Ystilo Salon in Club Filipino in Greenhills and felt quite amused because even if I was a little late, I kinda related to what they were talking about. A company from Milan, Italy called Helen Seward was actually training some of the Senior Hairstylists and colorists of Ystilo Salon and I've been a great fan of colors since I've been taken cared of by Bing Dio Salon in Mother Ignacia. Seeing them talk about preparing hair, bleaching, repairing the color outcome and setting expectations, I could imagine them all saying their spiels inside their salon already. Ystilo Salon has been doing this twice a year they say and they have different companies that carry their products give their stylists workshops and training so they could only give the best for their clients.

Ms. Vina Morales also obliged us with an interview and let us know how it is important to have business sense even at an early age because just like her salons, the opportunity to grow is out there and says she had to learn a lot of things from other business owners and herself while they continue to expand the business. She's also doing a show together with Elmo Magalona (who just transferred from GMA) and Janella Salvador and she's excited about it. Here it is on video!

We also got to see some of works of Antonio Robustelli and Helen Seward's very own Ms. Catherine Lorenzi. They were the ones who facilitated the event together with the local distributor (who was very nice btw!) and showed us what's "IN" this season. The feel I got was a little modern touch on old Hollywood glam. So think of artists carrying hair in that era but styled and modernized.

Here's our interview with the people from Helen Seward:

Thank you to Star Magic and Ms. Vina Morales for having us at their event. I wonder when and where I'd be able to go to their salon in Greenhills and get my hair razored too. I dunno, but hopefully soon! Oh and before I forget, thank you to Antonio and Catherine's interpreter, sorry I forgot to get her name that afternoon. Hope to see you one of these days!
