Taiwan Excellence Holds 2019 ESports Cup at SM The Block

Three whole days of non stop fun and gaming at the Taiwan Excellence 2019 ESports Cup held at SM The Block in Quezon City.

Taiwanese brands also showcased their best computers, laptops, keyboards, storage devices, even SSD drives which ordinary Joe's were able to try and use right on the spot. As for the programs,they have already held gaming challenges for CS GO and League of Legends on the first two days, then today they got a huge Cosplay Contest with the same game theme. I love how they got into it so good.

The serious cosplayers brought their A game, strutting out some really nice character costumes which looked like mages and cyborgs at the events area.

If you're in the north or nearby areas, come to the SM The Block for some good ol gaming fun and cosplay selfies, you have to do that of course!

TOYCON 2014: The 13th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention

It looks like we're going to have some fun again in the 13th installment of the Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention or TOYCON this June 20-22 at the SM Megatrade Halls 1-2 and 3. They will also be celebrating the 75th Anniversary of DC Comics and my favorite hero Batman. They have prepared a full sized Batpod, a kids area, sell Batman merchandise and a gallery of Batman memorabilia that you'll really love.

They also have a Rourouni Kenshin live action display plus original costumes from the movie. You'll also see sections for Marvel's The Guardian's of the Galaxy, the GI Joe 50th Anniversary exhibit, the Philippine Lego users group and the Finals of the Philippine leg of World Cosplay Summit hosted by the Philippines' own Alodia Gosiengfiao. Awesome Bags from BUM Equipment!

Individuality. That's the perfect word to describe what BUM has been able to depict these past few years. I've been witness to how they have continually evolving to emo, goth, cosplay which previously concentrated on the dark, black and white palette. I've been collecting these voodoo dolls since its inception. There are a lot of designs already released and this is just something I'd like to continue. The BUM COSPLAY Contest Launch!

COSPLAY has actually gone leaps and bounds in the Philippines; and true enough they live a lifestyle out of the ordinary. They have large groups willing to dress up to play the roles of their favorite anime character or video game hero. They go to big conferences and even host them on their own. That's how big this industry has become and it is seriously a niche that the Fashion industry should tap into. Lo and behold! BUM Equipment is starting it with a big contest to get their merchandise incorporated to the COSPLAY inspired looks! Not kidding!

COSPLAY? Or so I thought was the last thing that came into my mind when fashion is concerned, unless it's those mei dolls from Harajuku that is. But there were different takes on how to attack this particular method of incorporating that and the dark, emo, rock - chic it's been carrying around since its inception. Making a whole character out of it looks like very challenging too. I'm sure both fashionistas, stylists, designers, Cosplayers and photographers would need to work together to make that perfect character that BUM needs to represent their line. A grand fashion show also was slated to show some of the best entries backed up by some of the greatest cosplayers this country has ever produced. We saw some samples exhibited in the launch, they were all good interpretations I might say!

All entries must have that BUM factor that the brand is looking for. Costumes will also be submitted to them prior to the fashion show then returned after it. This your chance of making it in the industry and bag a brand new Nikon DSLR camera, phone, a Samsung digicam and goodies from BUM. Make sure you submit those photos now because the LIKE period runs from August 8, 2011 to October 30, 2011. Winners will be announced on October 31, 2011. They will all be included in the BUM Fashion Show slated in November.
