For starters, there's CASHBACK on every foodpanda transaction like 10 percent til Php400 is reached, 3 percent til 3 percent is reached, 1 percent on Overseas spend, and 3 percent on domestic.
Dani Jaramillo the Managing Director of foodpanda Philippines says "Thank you to our local partner EastWest Bank, Visa, as we now have a shared commitment for our digital first customers. We want to give more deals for our customers to make sure they get their instant cravings. You will get weekly Cashback, as we work hard with our partners, especially the ones who do small purchases very frequently. We are pushing the boundaries for Filipinos, positioned for the millenials, so they can spend and get rewarded immediately with the things that they like. Food, experience and entertainment, hopefully with foodpanda and Visa, can be used not just here, but abroad. It's a celebration of food, being easy and free!"
It's super easy to apply via their QR codes, which only requires you IDs and a selfie video.
Visa also said that it wasn't easy to bring to life but there's value to partnerships with people and entities you can trust. This is the 4th product to launch with the bank and the need to change is increasing because payments are changing, it starts today with the GenZ who wants things given now. The partnership with Foodpanda and EastWest Bank makes it easy.
This really fits the need of their consumers. Time to get rewards with those foodpanda purchases huh?!
Chef JR ROYOL is steadily becoming a household name in the Philippines through his show "Farm to Table". They are currently celebrating their 2nd year and yes, there are going to be a few changes especially with the way they do the show.
The confident man who hails from Mountain Province talked to us more about what's going to happen in the next few weeks as they come out with more content from different locations. Farm to Table will visit his Mom's hometown of Barlig in this week's episode. This will start on Sunday at 6:50PM.
He says "Thank you for celebrating our 2nd Farmniversary with us, we are excited to share with you good news about the show. Definitely it's going to be a consistent cooking element, we are going to expand our reach, the places that we plan to go to will have us explore and discover more people week after week. I would hope we can do that in the next few episodes, so we can tell more stories and food adventures too. It's totally a collaborative effort to focus on food we do. We don't limit ourselves with a particular cuisine and always integrate local ingredients that we have in the country and tell the stories about them. We want to start this year with a bang, so this weekend we will have BEA ALONZO as our guest. We will also be having TikTok personalities and other chefs that will also be in the show. As far as guests, we have a lot of stars coming in the next food adventures!"
He is so thankful about the show and adds "The show was able to make me work with very dynamic people, we are not boxed up and the different locations gives us a chance to work with a lot of talented individuals. We also get to create different dishes with not so common produce, we usually encounter them in the local markets and the locals tell us how to cook it."
He wants to introduce a dish internationally and says "Pinikpikan is the number one dish that should be introduced to the world. It's easy, the method can be taught, and I could eat it everyday. If there's anything, it's number one for me because there's nothing like it. You could also see it in other cultures but the process is innately ours alone."
He remarks "I wish the show would last for years, this show could be done til we're sixty, but more than that, to our viewers I hope you watch it every week. We do it purely that this comes from our heart, and I hope our viewers appreciate how we do Farm to Table."
There's certainly more to look forward to in the next few episodes, so if you are into food adventures, get Chef JR ROYOL to take you along different places in the Philippines and see how colorful our food culture is. This show airs Sundays on GTV and their other online channels.
Yes! Would you believe? It’s their 5th season and nobody’s getting old. This is hosted by husband and wife team Drew Arelllano and Iya Villania with Chefs Martin Narisima, John Valley and Llena Tan-Arenas. This year though they are making headway with easy to prepare meals because it’s #Madalicious and #Affordalicious!
The twist is, they’re going to be cooking outside. You’ll get to see locations like the Sierra Madre mountains as their backdrop. Drew Arellano will also get to talk to people around the city, they get to taste their dishes and perhaps let them taste what they prepared on the show.
Iya says “All these recipes are made by the Chefs who will also be with us in this show. I happened to see myself more in the kitchen because Primo wants to be there too. I thought I wouldn’t have time but if it’s what he wants, we have to be there too.”
Drew adds “I am a home foodie, I am not the type who would eat something just to get by, it needs to be creative, it doesn’t have to be expensive, just explore and experiment, I need to be happy when I finish eating because after a hard days work, it is what you look forward to when you go home.”

You've been waiting for this I'm sure because the last two seasons have been very successful as ordinary people have learned a thing or two in this show. Of course they will bring back husband and wife team Iya Villania-Arellano and Drew Arellano and celebrity chefs Llena Tan Arenas, RJ Garcia and Rene Ruz. This time, they'll be taking on what they call Madalicious Meals which YOU can prepare at home. This means they'll be featuring 26 full recipes that can be prepared quick fast and easy without compromising quality even if it's home cooked food.
Mind you, they have planned to include mostly 5 ingredients which is mostly seen in usual pantries which can be prepared in 4 steps using quality San Miguel Purefoods Products. If you miss a show, don't worry though because aside from the episodes on TV they'll be launching an app called Home Foodie Madalicious Meals Mobile App which you can download on the App Store and Google Play complete with 60 second cooking demos, meal plans, prep tips that is also being featured on the show, so you can view at your convenience any time of the day.

Iya and Drew says this will be like a commmercial gap which would last only 3 minutes per episode so make sure you're watching Unang Hirit too.
I went here last week and I was surprised to have seen all of the stores closed because I didn't know that they open after lunch. So I failed the first time.
The next week, I was so excited to meet Kris Bernal as she embarks in new territory because she's not going to act this time; as she's putting up a new burger shack called Meat Kris. It's a play on words because the actual shop personifies the young Kapuso actress and if you saw this in real life, those little knick knacks are actually personal items from her and the shows she's done all throughout the years. From the tons of stars she's worked with, to the men she was partnered with in shows like Alden and Aljur, they're all here!
It makes sense that all the things that might have been turning points in her career gets included in this very personal enterprise that Kris is doing. She wished to have had a BIGGER restaurant but she knew she was a neophyte to embark on something that big. She wanted to actually start small and do it how she wants to execute it. She's also got people from her fans (or related to) to actually be hired so she could help them with livelihood, she even feels a little off when they call her Ma'am when they were training. Now that it's all here, it's already selling like hotcakes, I mean burgers, good ones that is.
Of course, she's bound to have him on the menu. This is somehow a ride on Aljur Abrenica and his endorsements in the past. She wants him on the menu because that started all the things AlKris, that's the the love team name with the Kapuso hunk. It's got the lovely 100% Pure Beef Patty from MeatKris, plus the special sauce, Beefy Hotdogs, and an easy over fried egg. That's what they call Hotdog ni Aljur.
Now this one is her version of the Philly Cheese Steak. It's called "Dapat Ka Bang Philly-in?" patterned by Kris and Aljur's old show "Dapat Ka Bang Mahalin?" (Second Chances) back in 2009. I would recommend you have this while it's hot and DON'T Instagram (although it would be good to brag among your friends) because you won't enjoy it as much if it's cold. My friends agree. It's got beef strips, veggies, chili, and tons of cheese.
For those who don't know, Kris Bernal actually started in show business when she did Star Struck. The GMA show is still doing it and to pay homage she thought of naming this Dream, Believe, Survive which is the tag line of the show. It's got a quarter pound hand crafted burger patty, bacon strips and ham. All the good things, like the good stars who came from the show!
Kris has appeared with a lot of Kapuso stars and one of them is her good friend Alden Richards. She's admittedly also a fan of AlDub and to dedicate a burger for him was just right. This is Bacon Pa More, a lovely combo of the Pure Beef Burger Patty, Cheese, their special sauce, veggies and tons of Crispy Bacon Strips! For bacon lovers, this is a dream. It's not that expensive either and if you're looking for something to battle that fast food bacon burger you've always had, this could really live for that challenge. Then there's more!
Now you've probably had that quarter pound burger from another fast food restaurant, and this could give that a run for the money. This is their basic Cheeseburger. It's got that Quarter Pound Pure Beef Patty, melted cheese, veggies and a sweet soft white bun. Okay enough about basics, we're going BIG this time!
Their current best seller, this is the Chiz Bernal. It's a play on her name obviously and was found as a comment from a fan on her IG post. I think I've seen that when it happened. Anyway, it's like your lovely basic classic cheese burger with a HUGE monstrous piece of Mozzarela Stick in the middle. Now think about what will happen if you have a bite off of that, it'll just burst and melt, and that cheese will just ooze out when it's hot. Not that I'm telling you, but who doesn't love cheese right? I thought so.
This one is the Happy Lang Almusal which is a breakfast burger named after her famous line as Tinay in the iconic show Little Nanay. It's got everything you love including that spam/meat loaf slice, the easy over egg and cheese. That's how you start the morning even if they open in the late afternoon LOL.
Meet my personal favorite, this is their Meat Kris Cheeseburger with 5x the patty. Their hand crafted pure beef burger patties are about a quarter of a pound. If you think about that, this one is like a pound and a quarter all in all. This monstrosity is actually just right for people like me who want a REAL protein fix. It's for people who love burgers, this isn't really hard to eat because I finished it in a couple of minutes. It's got the usual suspects, cheese, 5 beef patties, tons of cheese and a leaf or two so you won't get guilty without it. Trust me, it's worth a try. Kris says she doesn't put salt on her burgers but this was actually flavorful as she uses a lot of dry herbs in the mix. I think the flavor profile was more on thyme. If I'm going to go back to Meat Kris, I wouldn't hesitate to order one of these again. It's worth it, and it's not expensive as I mentioned earlier. It's not even 300+ ish which I would gladly pay for.
Here's our interview with Kris Bernal this afternoon. Enjoy!
For those who would like to have the same Meat Kris experience that I had this afternoon, you may visit them at the COMMUNEATY at 120 Roces Avenue in Quezon City. If you know the Mc Donald's Branch in Tomas Morato, you can walk from there towards Roces Avenue in like a couple of minutes and you can get there. It's right at the front of the old Dragon Bar, and right before the street of Max's Scout Tuason, you wouldn't miss it. Here's a map so you won't get lost, just find the burger!
If you still get lost, it's not my fault anymore LOL. Love burgers? Then you'll really love Meat Kris!
